So different from the other wow bento and rolls I’ve been to. I ordered the spicy tuna combo and the spicy pickles are so different from what I’m used to, the pickles were huge and they were not the persian pickles that are normally used and the chile sauce was just glops of chile paste. Also, the chicken looked a bit pink and I bit a small piece and it felt slightly raw. The tuna roll was ok, but not the same as before and the chopped green onions that go on too were old, because they were really dry and stale. I’ll stick to the one in Glendale galleria.

My daughter dragged me into here because she saw a picture of a cal roll. Of course daddy said yes. What a mistake. The food was okay. But the customer service was HORRIBLE. The owner/cashier she has ZERO customer service skills ZERO personality. The staff stand around and talk whilst there are dirty tables to be cleaned. The sign at the front door say«Under new Management», how bad was it before and a sticker inside says«people love us on Unilocal». Not this person. Sorry, was really hoping to post a 4 or 5 but it is what it is…

«MISO not so happy with this place» said Hazel. We ordered the Udon combo and had fried green tea ice cream for dessert. The udon looked pretty appetizing but it wasn’t that great because the tempura inside of it was pretty soggy. We also found hair in our sushi. But the green tea ice cream was pretty good. The food overall didn’t come as it was shown in the menu. The service wasn’t that great either. We got there like 40 minutes before closing time and they kicked us out like a bit after we got our food so they could prepare to close. My girlfriend, being a fan of Japanese food, didn’t really like it either. Hope it was just this location because we’ve heard good things about the chain in general.

This place has a menu crisis. There are separate menus all over the place: at the register, above the register, a few in front of the restaurant, and a new«build your own bento» section being added off to the side. The wife and I ordered three items from the menu with the words«$ 5.99 each» printed in big red letters: Chicken Teriyaki Bowl: The picture shows steamed veggies, but I was given tempura veggies(squash, carrot and broccoli) instead. Unfortunately, the tempura was soft and not crispy at all. Who wants to eat batter for batter’s sake? No thanks. The chicken was cooked inconsistently — some pieces were too charred, some tasted a little rubbery, and some were ok. Teriyaki sauce was provided in a small cup on the side. California Roll and Spicy Tuna Roll: 4 pieces of each type. The California Rolls were alright and had a reasonable sized piece of avocado. The Spicy Tuna did not taste fresh. Wow Udon: The broth was quite weak. The wife commented that it tasted like it was made from tap water, except the kind of instant udon you can make at home tastes better than this. 1.5 stars, which might’ve been rounded down if the cashier had not been friendly and the place had not been clean. Granted this is food court food, but the only«Wow» factor here is that the tempura, tuna rolls and udon were some of the most disappointing we’ve ever had. Maybe if this place focused less on having 100 things on their menu, then they could take a look at the quality of the food they’re serving.

The cashier has no business there. She has a somber monotone persona. I’m assuming she’s the owner of this joint. Hey lady! Do your business a favor and get someone with a smile at the register! The food is not great, the rice was cooked with too much water it was mushy and the teriyaki was burnt. The 16 dollars we spent felt like a total waste. low quality, and it should’ve been a red flag when only a couple tables were taken during lunch hour. Tommy’s, steak escape, the middle eastern restaurant at the corner, and stone oven are the best places at this food court.

I have had the sushi from other Wow Bento locations, and this one has been the freshest. The avocado salmon roll was quite generous on avocado and wasn’t stuffed with just rice. The ratio was perfect. The Hot Night roll was also delicious and tempura was well-cooked. I also appreciated it was like a true walk-in restaurant among the sea of food court counters. This was a good find!

I am giving one star for the service. The food is good although they are cutting corners in ingredients… i know this because i WAS a frequent customer. Today i went with my wife and ordered our usual dishes — White Chicken Salad with a couple of other sides. We noted that the Salad is missing a few ingredients from before like sprouts. Anyways, the salad is still good as they put a decent amount of chicken in it. My issue is basically the Owner/Orderer who has seen us several times. I normally get a refill of soda. I went to get it this time and she said it would cost 79c more… the problem is that she was pointing to a non-existent sign saying NOREFILLS or advising of extra payment for refills. You should understand that if you don’t have any signage, and a frequent customer is present, that you would understand the change and minimize the transition. If she knew good business she would let me have a refill and advise that in future there is NOREFILLS. She did not, and i told her that she has LOSTBUSINESS. If she had any ounce of customer service skills, there would not be a situation. So she lost hundreds of dollars of future business in the aim to make 70 something cents… i’m sure soda is probably 5c in costs for them. These food court ppl have to realise there is other options and to remember that frequent customers assure future business stabiity… Other salad places in Northridge hit me up… i have vacancies for regular spots.

I like their food and once would go here quite often for lunch. But after they increased their prices, I rarely go nowadays. But the food is still good.

This was my first time eating here and most likely my last. What turned me off was how dirty this place is. The staff here have zero regards for keeping their eating area clean. It bugged me to watch the two cashiers chatting away while the tables and floors were sticky/dirty. My phone is all sticky from placing it on the table. I ordered the spicy tuna combo. It was a sloppy roll lacking spice and for some reason was watery. I wouldn’t have ate it but after spending ten dollars and starving I had too. I will not be coming back!

Have been here numerous times. Sushi is cheap and normally pretty good. A few times it was terrible, though, and today I waited and waited at the counter and no one paid the slightest attention to me. I had to leave.

One of my favorite meals ever is from here. The one and only thing I order here is the sashimi rice and I could eat it every single day if I could. This place is in the mall food court so come grab a bite after shopping. Great service and great prices.

After a very long time, I had lunch here yesterday, hoping that food and service would be as good as it used to, wishful thinking on my part! Too bad, there was a time a year and a half ago, I would come and eat here two to three times a week and spread the word around. I usually ordered the shrimp and brocolli tempura, and my favorite salmon skin roll. What I had yesterday was a very bland and soused in oil. No salmon skin available, so I opted for the Crazyboy roll, not too crazy about it now, it tasted stale. Plus, there is really bad communication between the new cooks and the cashier. I had to repeat my order a few times and she still didn’t get it. Finally, in all my exasperation, I promised the cashier that will be my last time to eat there because it’s just not WoW anymore!

This place is decent. It’s hard to believe I find this mall food court sushi(spicy tuna roll & unagi) roll acceptable, but I do. Their Beef Mix and Rice(Bibimbap) is awesome too. Large portion, Tatsty and worth the price. This is my go-to place for Asian Mall Food Court Food.

This place is good if you’re shopping around get hungry and you’re craving sushi. It’s not an over the too sushi place. They have a decent variety of sushi rolls to offer. They also offer combos and bowls as well as udon. I have tried the following: Dynamite roll: this is usually my favorite roll at other places. Sadly I was a bit disappointed with this one. They added mushroom and it made the roll taste weird. I did like that the roll had onion and lobster on top. Spicy tuna roll: you can never go wrong with one of these Cowgirl: spicy tuna inside and salmon outside. This one was pretty tasty. Spicy tuna combo: it comes with a spicy tuna roll, spicy cucumbers and a salad and pieces of shrimp tempura. Beef bowl: this I actually really liked. The beef was really juicy and tender The service is ok. Just young people working here part time. You know how that goes. Prices are decent. For 2 rolls I paid $ 17. During happy hour(3 – 6 Monday through Thursday) the prices are good!

Wow what an incredible lack of customer service. I refuse to believe that the unhelpful woman in the front is the owner. If she is then she needs to close down business. My boyfriend and I walked by them at the food court, noticed they were independently owned so we decided to go there instead of La Salsa or any other chain. There was no acknowledgement from the staff when we walked in and when we ordered she seemed annoyed. I noticed a happy hour sushi sign and attempted to order and she rudely pointed to a sign that said 3 – 9 pm and I asked her what time it was… She replied it’s 2:55pm… I need not say more. We kindly left and went across the court to SANSEIJAPAN where we ordered a fantastic dish literally the same thing I saw on their menu for $ 2 less. If you care about the whole experience from food to service then go anywhere else but here.

When I give reviews, I review each place for what it is. Considering this is a food court spot, it’s great. It’s actually the highlight of the Northridge mall for me haha(I also love the Bath & Body Works) They have happy hour Monday-Thursday from 3−7PM. Pretty good deals($ 4-$ 7 rolls) and the quality of sushi is surprising! I love the Crazy boy roll & the Hot Night Roll. They also offer bento box deals(durrrr) and other Japanese dishes like udon noodles, spicy seafood soup, etc. I always order the food to go but if you dine in, it’s clean and there are iPads to use while you wait or eat. Very cool! It’s like an Apple store and a sushi spot, in one. After I paid I asked for Ponzu sauce and spicy mayo. They are SUPER generous with the sauces… the cashier gave me 4 big containers of the very spicy mayo. It’s almost like pure sriracha! Dang. All in all, it’s probably the best food court eatery in the Northridge mall & I recommend it if you’re looking for a cheap sushi fix!

Needed something quick and cheap to eat at the mall during my shopping spree. Wow Bento & Roll looked like a good choice. Decent, fairly cheap menu with a tempura veggie roll, score! I got one of those and within 5 mins had my meal in front of me. It was pretty good except that it fell apart as soon as I went to grab it with the chopsticks. Still I’d go back.
