YEE: A Celebration of the Senses

What a fun and interesting night! Thanks Katie B. for all your hard work!
Meter parking was hard to come by because just when I thought I had found a spot, an officer told me I could not park there. A tow truck came to tow away an Audi parked in front of me. Eventually I gave up searching and just paid for the overpriced lot.
When we checked in, the line for drinks was out the door! But it moved quickly enough because the bartenders were pretty fast and skilled. I really liked the pear drink because it wasn’t that strong, but that’s just my weak preference. The long line gave us the chance to grab some food off the platters before swarms of Elites came, but we were so hungry that we were guilty of out near the kitchen after we got our drinks. My favorite small bites was the squash soup with nuts. Katie came to shoo all of us away to give others a chance to eat so we eventually found a cozy spot with a nice view of the Capital Records tower. The atmosphere was perfect and intimate outside, which made the Lexington Social House my favorite venue so far out of the handful of Elite events that I’ve have the opportunity to participate in. Katie stopped by later and helped us take a picture for us (thanks Katie!).
The most interesting part of the night was the ice cream demonstration. It was pretty cool watching them turn something that looks like whipped cream into freezing smoking ice cream balls. We took some for the road later when we left to go explore the surrounding areas. Too bad the Library at the Redbury wasn’t open that day. It was still fun walking around though!

A party of the senses. I was intrigued. What could this entail? I imagined flames, costumes, etc, basically a circus! And no, while we didn’t have a circus at hand, Katie B. and the very generous Lexington Social House did not disappoint, with a night to remember.
Nestled on the corner of Hollywood and Vine, Lexington Social House has long been a fave Happy Hour/​Cocktails spot of mine. For the elite event, they showcased their great patio/​bar area, with seating and firepits abound (I did get my flames after all!). Food and drink were making their rounds, and the cocktails line moved pretty quick. I, however, opted for the no-​line wine wait, which was glorious and generous.
Onto the tickling of my senses:
SMELL was a smell station with 9 bottles of various liquors, perfect for the boozies of the Unilocal elite squad. We weren’t as good as we were expecting to be! (Which I guess would make our mamas proud?)
TASTE was clearly on lock down with all the generous and amazing food they were circling around. There was a delicious squash soup shooter, which was warm and delicious. Fried shishito peppers were also very tasty. Flatbread (mushroom and margherita) were nicely crisped. Meatball were delicious and so savory.
SITE and TOUCH was the highlight of my night, as we had a french chef hand-​preparing liquid-​nitrogen ice cream for us. I mean, he’s french, sweet, and he was making us awesome desserts. IT was a white chocolate bourbon that he froze in 2 different shapes (which enhanced the TASTE differently) and handed to us. Crunchy on the outside, creamy on the inside, awesome all over the place!
Great event, and great showcase of what this hollywood classic can do! Can’t wait to come back!

I’ve been wanting to check out Lexington Social House for a while now so this was the perfect opportunity. I came with Christina C (my +1), Jennifer W and her +1 Patrick P. The event theme was celebrating the five senses: taste, smell, touch, sight, and sound. I’m not really sure how they did that, but it was still a fun event. The outdoor patio was a really nice area to hang out in and I was happy to get a pair of Unilocal LIFE gloves.
1. TASTE
Definitely got this one down! They had a menu of three specialty cocktails: Mule Kick, Pear Flower, and The Lexington. I tried the Pear Flower (grey goose la poire, st. germain, lemon juice, sparkling wine) and I liked it. Jennifer got one too and wasn’t a big fan of it though, so I ended up finishing hers. In addition to the cocktails, they were also serving wine. That line was shorter (the cocktail line was a bit ridiculous at times) so I also got a glass of white wine. And there were also tray-​passed canapes! I had to constantly keep my eye out for servers, but I managed to try several items: D
– Squash Soup: I didn’t think I would like it, but it was actually pretty good. And it was nice to have something to warm me up.
– Flatbread with Mushrooms, Pesto, Goat Cheese, and Arugula: Not a fan of mushrooms, but I still liked this.
– Flatbread Margherita: Pretty good
– Braised Short Rib Wonton: A bit difficult to eat, this was just okay
– Shishito Peppers: This was the only appetizer I saw trays and trays of. I did not care for these –_​–
– Lobster Dumpling: I never even saw these, only heard of them. Sad I didn’t get to try one.
– Meatballs: I actually managed to get one, but then I wasn’t able to eat it because it had pine nuts in it. WTF?! Why would you do that to me?!
– Crème Brulee: A dessert I missed out on. Apparently it was served in spoons?
– Blackberry Cheesecake: Yet another item that is definitely NOT for people allergic to nuts. Why are there nuts in the crust?! People, nut allergies are really common in the US. You need to have warnings!
2. SMELL
There was a table set up for the Aroma Identification Contest. Participants were given a form to fill out where they needed to identify the nine bottles. There was a list of potential answers to help them out. I didn’t participate in this because my answer to everything would be «it smells like alcohol»… but Christina did it. They were supposed to announce the results at 8:30PM but they never did (and we left around 9:30PM). It would have been nice to see what the bottles actually were… oh well.
3. TOUCH
The event page said there would be a «Chef Action Table presenting various textures of food»… I didn’t see any such table. The ice cream with liquid nitrogen is supposed to be for SIGHT but I think it works for TOUCH as well since you get to touch the ice cream.
4. SIGHT
Like I mentioned above, there was a Chef Action Table serving ice cream prepared with liquid nitrogen. It was really cool seeing the chef make the ice cream and then he would hand us a scoop of it afterwards to eat. The texture was very interesting since it was hard and crunchy, but it was still delicious and I really liked it.
5. SOUND
The event page also said there would be a DJ spinning through the event and a house band LoLove performing live. Neither happened. and the speakers by the couch that we were sitting at acted wonky throughout the night, so I would say the sound sense was not really celebrated: P

This was a fun event. I’ve seen Lexington Social House before, but had never been in, so it was fun to be there. It was a fun theme idea as well. The aroma contest table was fun, although I want to know what the answers were now! :-)
I also really enjoyed the mule kick drink. It was well balanced with a nice kick to it! And my friends got the other two drink options and like both of them too.
The food I tried was good, but it was hard to find the food. The waiters walking with the trays basically were getting bombarded by hungry people as soon as they walked out, so they didn’t really get to walk around and offer food to people. I happened to be standing in line for the bar right by where they were coming out for a period of time and that was when I was able to try a few of the selections. It seemed more like the venue was not prepared for the number of people that were there and didn’t prepare enough food to go around. I did not expect a whole meal to be served, but I think it’s fair to assume that everyone there would want to try one of each or at least one of a few options, and that didn’t seem like it was possible. Maybe a table of food would have been better than tray passing? The food I tried was good though. And the liquid nitrogen demonstration was a lot of fun.
As mentioned by someone else, the bar line was really slow. I think we waited about 20 or so minutes. Since they were pre-​set drinks, I am not sure why they didn’t just have them ready instead of making them to order.
I did have a great time though and enjoyed the event. I can’t wait for the next one!!!

I loved this Unilocal Elite Event. Walking up to Lexington Social House, I felt like one of those swanky people who go out all the time… but I’m not, so this was a nice chance to be part of that world. The interior of Lexington Social House is beautiful and dark, I spent the last half of the event inside, on the super comfortable chairs near the stage. So relaxing and great music!
The outside of Lexington is the real show stealer though. It is gorgeous and I loved being outside with the stars over us, with the lounges amongst trees and that really cool fireplace. I was a huge fan of the bar and the Mule Kick. The choice of drinks was small, but a very hard choice because all of them sounded amazing.
When my +1 and I walked out to the patio, we immediately got in line for the bar. Waiters were passing by with wine and appetizers (shishito peppers! a giant meatball! delicious pizza!). After grabbing a Mule Kick, we headed over to the scents table, where we both sniffed out 10 different types of alcohol. Man, the smell of scotch is strong. After we finished with that, we sat down and enjoyed the glorious view of the beautiful people at the party, the stars and again, that very cool fireplace. After this, round 2 of drinks! Then, the liquid nitrogen ice cream started happening so we headed over there pretty quickly to get in on that. Delicious. It was like biting into a meringue and getting delicious vanilla whipped cream that was ice cold.
I was expecting the event to be more interactive as far as the senses, but I did see gorgeous views, I smelled strong liquor, I tasted delicious food and drinks, I touched the liquid nitrogen ice cream and I heard awesome music all night long.
And Katie B., she looked gorgeous. So that was a nice view as well!
Once again, East LA Unilocal delivers an amazing time with amazing food, a gorgeous venue and a unique concept, amongst all my friends.

A wonderful night out in Hollywood.
The combination of me getting older + more bars and restaurants opening near me in downtown seems to make my nights in Hollywood fewer and fewer.
I felt nostalgic parking next to The Palace, I used to go there often.
I like the location — Hollywood & Vine. There’s a Metro Red Line station nearby and it’s near the 101, convenient.
Parking can get challenging here on weekends but is was fine on Tuesday.
It’s always nice to be greeted by Katie. :)
When I got inside the line for cocktails was a bit lengthy. The Lexington staff came to our rescue, they brought some appetizers by and let us snack in line. I had not been waiting long when a pleasant girl came by and said, «let’s do something about this line… would any of you like some wine? Follow me.» Out of the line and to the bar for a tasty glass of Pinot Noir.
My favorite appetizer of the night was the meatball. The shishito pepper was fine but I thought it was lacking something. The braised short rib wrapped in wonton was nice.
I wasn’t too impressed with the desserts. The small round presentation was interesting but didn’t seem ideal. I noticed a few people dropping the marshmallowy one since it had a tendency to slide off the toothpick. The cheesecake was fine but it didn’t leave me wanting more.
The cocktails… YUM!
The Lexington was my favorite. I love tea and the Earl Grey flavor with the bourbon was wonderful. I’ll return to the Lexington just for this drink.
I FINALLY scored a pair of the « Unilocal Life» fingerless gloves!
I think I was arriving at events a little late in the past and they had all been grabbed by the time I got in.

A Celebration of the Senses and how did they apply to me this evening? Well let me tell you…
SMELL :
How did I not win at the Smell Sense Test!!!
Seriously tough… Upon reading the list, I was like… I’ve had every one of these libation ingredients and wines… not to mention they’ve also made their exit out of my body in numerous ways — LOL! Y’all know what I mean because y’all have been there and done exactly that. I’ve also tended bar, tasted and been educated on the liquors…
So how did I not win?! I dunno but I definitely loved this part of the evening…
TASTE :
The mixed drinks were AWE-​SOME and AWE-​WHAT THE HEEZY WAS THAT?!
Did any of you get that wth was that feeling when you sipped on the mule? All I tasted was G-​I-​N-​G-​E-​R to the Nth Degree but the LEXINGTON was a far more superior flavor that left my palette quenching another round. I also had a red wine which was delicious as well. If you wanted more than one drink, you could. If you wanted a bite to eat, good luck. I actually had the opportunity to try out the butternut squash soup served in a shot glass which was nice and warm that gave me a soothing feeling. The Shishito Peppers were delicious and made its rounds amongst the crowd and that’s all the tasty bites that I got to try which leads me to the next sense…
SEE :
I only saw a couple of tasty bites that made it to the far corner of the back lounge area where I was sitting while I did see a bunch of vultures going CA-​CAAAWWWWWW over the food expeditors who barely made it out to the patio area with their trays of samples. I wish I got try it but you know what, this wasn’t a sit down Elite Event and it was more of a Social Event so I got more drinks and saw a lot of people whom I’ve never met so I engaged in socializing a majority of the evening and figured, since I’m in Hollywood, there’s a ton of places I can eat later… Billy Bob, the bartender… can you make that a double? Cheers!!! The venue is an improvement from the once Forbidden City where I’ve been to for an after after hours party post the Avalon but that’s a whole different review, lol! The interior sets a tone for a romantic setting for a dinner while the exterior makes for a great social Unilocal event! The usje Unilocal schwag was around and I’m glad to see people pick it up as I’ve already had my fix.
HEAR :
I heard the conversations flowing like no other especially when I introduced myself to a bunch of new Unilocalers. Lina and her plus one were first time Unilocal event goers and it was awesome shooting the shit and hearing that they were having a good time. I love meeting new first timers because I get all nostalgic about when I first became Elite. I am a Unilocal Promoter and talking to the newbies accounts for a great evening! I also heard about ice cream done the liquid nitrogen way so I made my way there, took some photos, sampled it and loved it. It was also a pleasure seeing and hearing from Angela A, Daryl M, Jackson Y, Kevin T, Jacqueline, Nicole & Tits McGee!
TOUCH:
It’s always nice to say that the first thing I felt was a KATIE B. HUG!!! HAHAHAHAHA! That shit sounded weird but it’s true. Our delightful CMYE — LA EAST is the best! I thank her once again for a great event and I had a blast being social with all my Unilocal buddies at the Lexington Social House!

Great event, Katie!
My friend and I got to chat up and catch up before the crowd started coming in so that was really cool. I got to meet some of the people who work at LSH and they’re all so incredibly nice.
I want to know what all the answers were to the «Smell» station. I didn’t get any email and I’m curious about #4. Was it sake?
We got to try all three drinks and some wine (don’t worry, I had a DD), which were all fantastic. I’m sure I blew all my weight watchers points. We also tried the meatball, the shishito peppers, the butternut squash soup, and a chocolatey dessert and the frozen whipped cream. My friend tried the wonton and her expression alone made me want it but she got the last one… AND TEASED ME ABOUT IT. Ahem, Panida R.
We met some really cool new Unilocalers (Amy C. and Peggy C.) which was awesome cuz it made me nostalgic of my beginnings. Then Thomas O. hopped on over with Nicholas and we caught up! I also met Sina N. & co. and gave them the low down on whiskey tastings around town.
It was such an amazing location with great service and lots of activity and interactive elements that even after my friend left, I still didn’t feel weird and got down to the smell station.
So who won? What was #4? Is there a list somewhere?

Great concept and a great bunch of people. I’m always amazed at how many people I still haven’t met after four years of this!
The food was great, as were the drinks. The smell test was super fun! And holey moley the liquid nitrogen dessert!!! I really want to hire that guy (speak with a French accent and feed me dessert?! Yes please!)
There were some minor glitches, like the bartender who didn’t know how to open a beer bottle and the wine server not being able to talk and pour wine at the same time (it was kinda fun to watch actually! Good thing she wasn’t chewing gum too, or else, she probably would have just gone catatonic!) But all in all, the event was really well executed. Nice flow, not too crowded, excellent use of a beautiful venue.
And how about that Katie B!!! Hubba, hubba, hubba!!! That hair, the flawless skin, those to-​die-​for shoes!

Thanks, Katie B, for introducing me to the Lexington Social House! I spend a lot of time in Hollywood and didn’t even know that it was there… love the vibe and décor. This would be a great place to meet someone for drinks as there’s lots of comfy seating all over the place, both inside and outside on the back patio.
The majority of the event took place on the back patio, where the alcohol was a-​flowing. The Lexington Social House was EXTREMELY generous, serving up the full bar including top shelf liquors. The elites were very civilized, forming a single file line for the bar, despite how many times Katie told us not to form a line and treat it like a normal bar. I guess elites are just super polite!
The only thing they ran out of was red wine, so I guess elites are all win-o’s? Not at all a problem with an entire bar to compensate.
The bartenders were great, showing no sign of treating us any differently than paying customers, making great drink recommendations.
Inside there was ice cream prepared with liquid nitrogen. no joke. one of the coolest things I’ve seen.
I also got a Unilocal beer koozie to ad to my collection (shot glasses, a bottle opener keychain, mints, fingerless gloves.)
We left quite tipsy as the food was minimal but the drinks were anything but…

Celebrating some of our five senses at the Lexington Social House was a very nice way to end a Tuesday night. It started as a cold night, but there’s something about Unilocalers socializing and having a good time that made it warm in the patio!
The smelling station was a really fun activity. They had 9 different glasses with liquor in them for us to smell and identify. The task probably would have been easier to identify if we got to taste the mystery liquids (j/​k this was the station to test our smelling ability!). I hope that we will find out what the answers were!
The staff were great hosts keeping the beverages pouring and the tray passed appetizers got around. The shishito peppers were good and the butternut squash soup shooter was tasty too!
From the drink selection I tried the Pear Flower and The Lexington, the latter was a unique to me type of beverage because it has earl grey infused woodford reserve bourbon in it!
The ice cream station was a fun sight to see (cream + liquid nitrogen + bourbon = fun ice cream).
Although there wasn’t a live DJ, the music they played in the patio was a great mix (minus the times the sound cut out).

Unilocal 100 Challenge 2013 — 75 of 100

Guys… this was my first Unilocal Elite event, ever! I know… blasphemy!
With that being said, it was a fun night packed with small eats, good booze and great company. I was happy that even though I brought my +1 (girlfriend, you know I love you to the moon and back), Unilocalers and guests alike were open to meeting new people. I ended up making a few new friends which is totes awesome! Plus, I finally got to meet Katie B. in person (inner Unilocaler/​fan girly scream of joy); she was totally cool and super down-​to-​earth! :)
Mad props for the location. Lexington Social felt pretty hip and modern with the lounge-​y couches and the bulb lights strung high overhead in the outdoor patio, all bright and shiny against the dark backdrop of the sky above. I loved that the staff were super super accommodating (yes, we were sure to tip generously because we were happy with services) and the drinks were great! My friend had the Pear Flower which was totally my kind of girly sweet citrusy drink; I ordered the Lexington (which note to myself, I don’t like bourbon). Both were equally good cocktails either way.
I don’t remember there being a «Touch» section, but Aroma Identification Contest for «Smell» was pretty fun. It was funny that my friend and I could identify some of the brands of the drinks, but we weren’t sure of the actual types of drinks (i.e. Black Label, my friend swears you were one of the 10). The nitrogen ice cream, which was the «Sight» component of the event, was really really cool and fun to eat because that ball of mist tasted like ice cream but was crunchy in texture. YAY FOR FUN FOOD!
The only thing I was kind of sad about was that it was a battle to get a taste of any of the small bites that were being served at the event itself. When we did get a chance at the little dimsum packages of crab, the pizza slices, or the egg rolls, it was sweet victory. When we didn’t, it was like a repeat of that sad childhood memory where your candy gets taken away from you because you just weren’t lucky. :/​
Either way, AWESOME EVENT! Can’t wait for the next Elite event I get to go to! :3

YEE held in the heart of Hollywood at Lexington Social Restaurant. There was one bar with two hard working bartenders serving: Mule Rock: Ginger/​Gin Based, Pearl Flower: Easy Girly/​Fruity, and the Lexington: great balance with Bourbon (least favorite to favorite).
‘Smell’ Station: 9 bottles of various liquor to guess. They said they were going to announce the winner at 8:30PM, but I don’t think it happened. Did it?! I want to know what were in those bottles!!!
‘Taste’: The restaurant brought out bite size appetizers from the kitchen: butternut squash soup, steamed juicy dumpling, pizza, shishito pepper, crème brûlée, and chocolate cake. I didn’t get to try everything, but it looked really tasty!
‘Sight’ Station: We got to see the Dessert Chef create some ice cream balls with liquid nitrogen. Very fun!
The venue was set in the back, outdoor… perfect for YEE! I missed the ‘Touch’ and ‘Sound’ Station; I don’t think there was a ‘Touch’ Station and the ‘Sound’ Station didn’t start till the event ended. I heard the band was terrific! Till next time, SYOY!

My first Unilocal event ever! And I certainly hope not the last! Even though we were allowed to bring +1, we met so many Unilocalers. It also helped that I saw my buddy Limzer L. with wife, Anna. Made the schmoozing more exciting.
We were so caught up chatting & drinking that we didn’t get a chance to try the passed hors d’oeuvres. Although we did get a shishito pepper or 2 in there — which were dynamite. We eat shishito at home all the time, except now we’ll dress it in panko and parm!
All three of the specialty cocktails were good, although I LOVED The Lexington better. I’m a fan of bourbon and Old Fashions — and their rendition of adding honey and lemon juice give it a refreshing kick.
The Pear Flower served in a martini glass was feminine, sophisticated, and sexy. Even with the lemon juice inside it was mildly sweet and smooth.
The Mule Kick was an interesting one. I love Moscow Mules and maybe that’s why I wasn’t expecting that pickled chili taste. My husband like it, but at first sip, my tongue was like, «NO!» and immediately downed the rest of my Lexington.
We partook in the smelling-​liquor contest which was a lot of fun. I’m sure if i got to taste a little bit of it I would have got all 9 answers correct, but instead I got 6… and I was runner up!!! What a wonderful surprise when i got the email in the morning from the general manager, rewarding me with a gift card back to The Lexington! My nose knows! Or that just means I drink too much.

GREAT EVENT, ONCE AGAIN!
It was such a great venue with lots of fellow Unilocaler’s and their +1’s. Lexington is a super cool place, and it perfectly sits next to Capitol Records, one of LA’s famous landmarks. You could actually see the building from the open hangout area.
Drinks were really awesome, friendly staff (tipped them well!!) and tasty food. At least once it came out, and reached to us. But just like other Unilocalers mentioned; food was scarce and I wish they varied it more. But overall, really good aperitifs!
Also had the pleasure to meet Thomas O., Nicholas and Jin (who happened to tell us more about her incredible taste buds, some wicked whisky tasting in Beverly Hills mansions and spherical ice cubes with whisky. [or the other way around]).
The «liquid nitrogen French master chef» David was a funny guy, and froze some tasty cream on the go. Gotta hop on that treadmill asap!
So who ended up winning the liquor smell-​o-​quiz? Thought it would be announced at 8.30. But then… maybe my hearing was disrupted by the booze.

This is a lovely spot to host a Unilocal Elite event. Kudos to Katie B. and Unilocal Team for hosting another fun and memorable night of delicious libation and scrumptious offerings.
The atmosphere and ambiance was simply sublime. Though we spent most of the time in back patio, the outdoor lounge with its own bar, fire pit and comfy furniture was elegant, chic and really cozy. We sat next to the liquor aroma smelling table and had a great time inhaling various mystic liquids which seemed to delight my senses and trigger a few faint memories of my party going ways back in college. Hopefully, it was enough to win.
Lex’s bartenders did phenomenal job with the cocktails accommodating everyone’s request. The drinks were really outstanding and strong. My mass consumption of Mule Kick and Lexington definitely left an imprint on my hangover this morning. The small bites of food, server by the staff was delicious as well. Though I missed out on a few offering, the small slice of pizza, the stuffed peppers and cheesecake were terrific. The nitrogen ice cream demonstration was quite amazing. Never have I seen ice cream constructed that quickly. Chef David did an amazing job and his scientific creation was delightfully good.
Of course, the opportunity to see quite a few familiar faces and meet some new people was exciting and fun. Special thanks to Katie B. for finding such an awesome venue and Lex staff for their superb service! It’s definitely fun to be a Unilocal Elite and can’t wait for the next event.

What do you get when you put about 100 Unilocal Elite’s in one venue with limited appetizers?
…Nothing. Haha. Like everyone else has probably already mentioned… after one server came out, a swarm of Elite’s literally ran over and devoured the entire platter within seconds. I got smart and stood next to the kitchen door for a little bit. It was there where I was able to snag one appetizer (braised short rib wrapped in wonton paper? SO GOOD…) and about… a million shishito peppers. All jokes aside, it was a fun event regardless. It was my first time at Lexington Social House and definitely won’t be my last. Loved the venue. Gorgeous outdoor patio with a bar (yay!), contemporary fire pit, and a plethora of couches I just wanted to make out on. Kidding… not kidding. And the Pear Flower cocktail (goose, St. Germain, other delicousness) … Yum! Thanks Katie!!! Hopefully I get lucky and finally become a proud owner some Unilocal socks at the next event ;)

Good food + booze + socializing = GREAT YEE.
This event was 7 to 10pm. By the end of the night, there was no line for drinks. Getting boozy on a Tuesday is almost as good as getting boozy on Monday (#mondayfunday). I have heed to our leader’s advice and drank responsibly. Though it was not an easy task.
The pizza was super good. Very aromatic, just the right amount of goat cheese. And I don’t even like goat cheese. The butternut squash soup was simply amazing. Served in a tall shot glass, it was nutty and savory. Feels really good to have something warm after drinking. The cheesecake bits tasted healthy with the nuts and it wasn’t super sweet. Not sure how they made the crème brûlée, it didn’t taste like the regular crème brûlée texture wise. But the flavor was still great. The real treat is the whipped cream dipped in liquid nitro. That was cool. Got all the ladies going back for more.
The Lexington was very generous with the food and drinks. The outside lounge was perfect for these types of events! Good environment to socialize. Guess that’s why they call it the Social House. Great weather was a bonus. Bartenders were swift and accommodating. Great event.

First in the door, and first to leave. Simply, the food was minimal (and I was starving). Drinks, however, it was a fest. Very generous indeed.
Aroma smelling was an interesting twist. But unless you were into shishito peppers (which I am), you would have been longing for more. Incidently, I longed for the meatballs and flatbread pizza… but the one (1) lobster dumpling was to die for.
The Lex (we have pet names for each other *), is a super venue, and I’ll certainly return.

There was a long line throughout the night for drinks, but the drinks were made to order and all three were deeeelicioius. I’m not usually a whiskey/​bourbon/​etc fan, but wow, that Lexington drink, I can drink it all night.
Food was a little scarce, but what I did get to try were all fresh and yummy.
The smell test was also a lot of fun! I wish the table was bigger/​longer though so its easier to get more people involved.
Lastly, the nitrogen ice cream! The chef put on a great show and the white chocolate whiskey ice cream were awesome. Almost painful to touch but melts in your mouth oh so satisfyingly (no, that’s not what she said).
All in all a great event and I will definitely bring my friends here again!
