We offer donation based Yoga to the community at large. Every Tuesday evening we have a special class called Yoga Galacatica led by Kamala Mathis and Siri Khalsa. The class is a flow of Kundalini and Hatha yoga complete with a sound bath of quartz crystal singing bowls and gong. Wednesday’s class is called Vinyasa Carnival and it focuses on flow with some object manipulation.

Established in 2000.

Yoga flow at the groove Spot is hosted by fire groove, A fire dance performance and instruction company. Kamala and Hannah, sisters and founding members of fire groove, are both yogis and have been teaching donation based yoga for 13 years at Runyon Canyon, in Hollywood California. The classes at the Groove Spot bring the same spirit of the canyon classes to an indoor setting often with music and sound healing. Stick around afterwards on Tuesday evenings for our community spin jam. We open the doors of our studio to anyone who wants to check out what we do and give it a try. We do offer weekly classes in fire dance, however the Tuesday night yoga and spend gym are by donation.

Business Owner

Kamala owns and runs Fire Groove with her siblings Hannah and Lester. She met Siri in 2010 through Runyon Canyon Yoga where she had been teaching for almost 10 years. With her background in Hatha Yoga from the White Lotus Institute and there combined experience training under Gurmukh Kaur at Golden bridge the class they teach can be very transformative. We like to leave you feeling good not just in your physical body, but emotionally and spiritually too. That’s why have incorporated sound healing into our yoga practice through mantra, singing bowls and the gong.
