Dr. Bohn–
Highly competent! She is so compassionate, caring, and genuine. She spent so much time with me reviewing my history and listened carefully to my issues. Her followups recommendations, diagnosis and follow ups were ON POINT! I am so thankful for finding her after hearing/​reading all the horror stories out there. She recommended all the right tests, sent me to the right specialists and all of this was done within 7 – 10 days.
The Office–
First time visit– I got an apt. the NEXT DAY. The followup appointments were also within the same week. Her assistant is so sharp, caring and on top of it. Got tests done in the office and got called back within 24 hours for the results. You can even register and get details on-​line. The office assistants are very nice, helpful and their smiles go a long way… after all you are at the GYNO office!
I was super nervous with some bad news, shaky when I was doing my blood tests and the lab technician was so highly educated in the subject she calmed my nerves and even gave me a hug. Too bad I don’t recall her name.
I wished I had something bad to say so all of this wasnt too good to be true… but it is!
Ok, I’m starting to sound like an info-​mertial now…
Go to Dr. Bohn for any female related issues/​pregnancy, if she doesnt specialize in it she will send you to someone who does ie. breast-​specialist… you will not regret it.

I was so thankful to get to have my baby with the help of Dr Yvonne Bohn and the entire staff at Santa Monica Women’s Health. My experience with her and everyone who worked there, couldn’t have been better!
We never waited more than 5 – 10 min for an appointment (which is a big deal for an OB who has unexpected surgeries and things!) and even that long of a wait was rare. Her assistant, Liz, was SO on top of things! She always got back to me the same day, even for small things, as long as I didn’t call too late in the day. Liz was very caring and helpful throughout the process. I was so thankful to have someone as responsive as Liz walking me through such a new experience!
The office is very nice and clean and everyone there was great to work with. Billing and scheduling was a breeze. They always made me feel special like I was the only pregnant patient they’d seen that day (though there were several in the waiting room at the moment!). After I had the baby, everyone in the office begged me to bring her in so they could meet her!
Dr Bohn herself was so kind and VERY competent. The first time we met with her, my husband and I both walked away knowing we’d made the perfect choice for someone to walk through this major event of pregnancy and birth with. We were right, Dr Bohn was always attune to what was going on with us, very informing, easy to talk to, and she made all the awkward moments of pregnancy so much more comfortable! I have been back to her for my annual gynecological exam since having my baby and she was just as great with that as she was with my whole pregnancy experience.
Dr. Bohn is very up on the latest research and trends, which is important in Santa Monica where so many people have done a lot of their own research and have strong opinions about their health options. But while she was open and willing to do some of her own research on some of the less common things in our birth plan (yes, we were THOSE people), she always drew a hard line on anything that she believed strongly about that were non-​negotiable in her mind due to safety. I appreciated this because it helped us trust her more knowing she was honest and true to her principles, but approached things with an open mind and was willing to learn. This was especially important when, due to an unexpected turn of events, she recommended we schedule a C-​Section. She gave us all the educational information we needed, as well as her advice and opinion, but she respectfully left the decision up to us. We were not thrilled at the prospect and she walked us through even our most ridiculous questions, step by step with patience. She even gave us her personal email and called us from home during her off hours to help us understand our options better since time was of the essence for this decision. In the end we decided to have the C-​Section and Dr. Bohn was just as great throughout the surgery and recovery as we would have expected. Plus the C-​Section proved to be the safest option for both mom and baby and we are very thankful for her expert opinion that led her to recommend it to us even though it’s not something many people want to hear.
As a side note, Dr. Bohn has written a book with her previous colleagues called «The Mommy Doc’s Ultimate Guide to Pregnancy and Birth». It was really nice that whenever I wondered what my Dr. would say about something, I could just pull out the book and look up her answer! I read it cover to cover and it was SO helpful!
To sum up my experience with Dr. Bohn, I’m going to quote what my husband said after being there for my C-​Section, «Dr. Bohn’s a bad-​ass!».

Compassionate and highly competent! Dr Bohn cares deeply about her patients. I’ve had several events with several doctors and can honestly say she is not only the best ObGyn I’ve ever had, she is the best doctor I’ve ever had. She performed my c-​section, saw me through complex pregnancies with preeclampsia, and helped me sort out multiple miscarriages and potential infertility treatment. In the end, it was Dr Bohn who encouraged me not to seek invasive infertility treatments, which turned out the ideal advice for my situation because I conceived and gave birth naturally at age 42. And we were able to use that «baby money» as a down payment for a house instead. (Note: if you have PPO, I think she’s contracted only under Blue Cross/​Blue Shield. I wish she took Cigna PPO in her new location in Santa Monica, but she doesn’t.)

I have been meaning to write this review since last November, but I’ve been too busy with my beautiful healthy baby boy! Dr. Bohn took care of me during my pregnancy and delivered my baby. Words can not express how grateful I am to have found her. This was my first pregnancy and I was very nervous about everything. Dr. Bohn always took her time with me and spoke to me like a real person. She is kind, sensitive, and empathetic, while also being smart, competent, and experienced. She never pushed me into anything that I wasn’t comfortable with. Ultimately, I needed a c-​section and Dr. Bohn was efficient, skilled, and reassuring. I never planned on a c-​section, but due to her excellent work it was really pain free and the recovery was fast. I might not have my beautiful baby boy if it wasn’t for her quick skillful hands. I highly recommend her.

Dr Yvonne Bohn is a true gem. I had a sudden pain and new it was something I needed to get checked out by a gynecologist. Many places turned me away because I was a first time client but the friendly staff at Dr. Bohn’s office said she could see me the same day! I was late and she still saw me. Dr. Bohn is extremely gentle, warm and makes you feel at ease right away. I highly recommend paying a visit! I know I’ve find my dr.
