I’ve moved five times over the past six years, and I’ve hired movers for every single relocation. Typically, the mark of a good move is how little you have to say about it afterward, success measured by the absence of calamity. It’s telling then that on the day my family moved from Los Angeles to South Pasadena, my wife and I ended the night talking about just how much we loved Z Movers and how impressed we were by the work they’d done. From the beginning, they were consummate professionals. They replied to all of my messages promptly and clearly. They showed flexibility and patience during the scheduling phase (as our closing date kept moving). But nothing could prepare us for the efficiency, thoughtfulness and care they took on the actual day of the move. Z Movers treated my possessions just as I would treat them if I were both stronger and less lazy. I’ll offer one telling detail: at a certain point in the move, Peter, one of the co-​owners, was wrapping up a spare chair I’d had for years. He noticed a loose screw on the bottom and asked if it was all right for him to fix it. How many movers leave your furniture in better condition than how they found it?
The packing we had them do was done swiftly but without any waste. Not a scratch on a single glass or plate. The Eco-​Boxes we rented were nothing short of a godsend, shortening our packing and unpacking by hours. On top of it all, co-​owners Kevin and Peter, and their employee, Mike, were such pleasant company. They never winced at our requests or at the weight of the boxes we asked them to carry up multiple flights of stairs. Instead, they gave us luxury service at a reasonable price and a fine first memory in our new home.
I cannot recommend this company highly enough.

These guys were the absolute best. Truly the best movers I’ve ever had — and I’ve moved a lot. Made my short, in-​neighborhood move a real breeze. Kind, friendly, competent, careful, respectful and fast! Could not have asked for a better experience. Will use them again for my next move and will refer them to friends and family.

I was referred Z Movers by my landlords who also used them. it was my first time hiring a moving company and I was blown away. The whole process was fast, affordable, and professional. I had a two man crew who showed and cranked through my moving across town in about 2.5 hours. All of my items were taken care of and the crew was polite, fun, and efficient. Peter was so sweet and a stud in lifting up my desk with no damage.
I was sent a guideline for moving beforehand to prepare for the big day.
I would hire these guys again and HIGHLY recommend them. Scheduling was a breeze and communication was at an all time high. Their truck and equipment got me from a 2^nd story loft into another rear unit with winding stairs in a instant. EXCELLENT WORK.

What a great moving company! From top to bottom Peter helped us out with all our needs. They were fast fast fast which lowered our costs. Also very professional they packed everything and nothing was damaged. I was so stressed out that day because I hate moving (what a surprise) but Peter the owner was always happy, friendly and professional! I would always recommend these guys again!

We were really undecided if we should hire movers or just enlist some friends and suffer through the whole thing like we did in the past. On a whim, I contacted Peter, and he was a pleasure to work with from the very first moment. He patiently answered all my questions day and night (seriously, I think this guy never sleeps), accommodated my schedule and on top of everything quoted me a reasonable price.
The move itself was absolutely professional — he and his colleague were on time and worked superfast, and very diligently. And they handled everything with great care. We couldn’t have been happier.

We moved from Miracle Mile to Fairfax which is not much of a distance but packing and loading is still the same as for any move.
Our Z Movers experience was outstanding. Peter was very responsive, answered all of our questions and gave us additional advice.
Peter and his team were right on time, packed everything up professionally, brought it to our new place in no time and event set things up the way we wanted it. There was not a single scratch on any of our belongings.
I totally see why Z Movers is so highly rated on Unilocal,we felt taken care of very well and we never felt like we had to worry about anything related to getting our belongings to our new place.
The move was done in just a few hours as promised. There is really not much more that I could say other than I’m totally satisfied with their work and fully recommend hiring Z Movers.
The prices were really reasonable. Now I guess if you look into it you will be able to find somebody in LA who will be cheaper but you won’t get the service and definitely not the peace of mind you get when trusting Z Movers to handle your belongings.

I recently hired Z Movers to help me move my things to a storage unit, while I looked for a new place.
They arrived very promptly and on time. For some reason my iPhone alarm did not go off and they even waited patiently for me!
They moved everything very quickly and safely, making sure to wrap up all of my items with the proper protection needed.
They had a huge moving truck to put all of my stuff in and drove to the storage location.
Z Movers really put in the extra effort to make sure that the customer was satisfied.
Also, very courteous and professional.
I would highly recommend Z Movers to anyone needing moving services, and will definitely hire them again the next time I have to move.

I hired Z Movers for a house to house move from Studio City to Burbank in late June 2015 based on a referral from a friend. I could not have made a better choice! I have lived in LA for almost 12 years, and have moved 5 times– this was, by far, the BEST experience I have had to date, and I will use them again for future moves. Why were they so great?
1) Professionalism: Peter responded to me right away, gave me courteous, honest and simple explanations of their rates, was as flexible as he could be with my scheduling needs, didn’t try to trick me or sell me on things I didn’t want or need, and showed up on time (not annoyingly early or late as other companies have) with a sparkling clean truck. He and Kevin were also very clean and well-​groomed– and while I know moving is hard work and understand past movers showing up sweaty, it was nice not to have to deal with bad smelling people on a stressful day.
2) Kindness and Safety: Peter and Kevin were some of the most down-​to-​earth, genuine, and definitely least creepy guys I’ve met in LA. I want to be friends with them, seriously. And, I definitely felt safe as a single woman having them move me. They were also extremely, but efficiently, careful with my things. I have lots of awkwardly shaped exercise equipment and a very expensive sleep number bed with an adjustable foundation. They moved everything without one hint of damage.
3) Efficiency and Value: They moved all of my stuff in 3 hours! I was well-​prepared for this move, and got rid of everything I didn’t need, but my last move took twice that. I have had moving companies do some ridiculous overpacking in the past, wasting packing materials (and time) and charging me for them. Z movers charges a flat rate. Even though we enjoyed each others’ company, they were truly a systematic moving team– I couldn’t have asked for more efficiency. I am always unsure of how much to tip movers, so I tipped them 20%, but after they left, I wished I had tipped more!

These guys are amazing. Work so quickly and efficiently. Super super polite. Lots of input and conversation. Tip your movers guys they work hard! This is LA. Will be using them again for sure! Be organized if not they have all the wrapping you need!

Peter and Kevin were by far the best movers I have ever used and I cannot recommend them enough. Über professional, friendly, fast and nothing is too much for them. They have years of experience and were careful with all our furniture to ensure nothing got damaged along the way. They came on a day where my partner was sick and at almost 6 months pregnant, I don’t know what I’d have done without them! If you’re looking for efficient, affordable movers who are genuinely nice guys then look no further. I shall be using them again and recommending them to all my friends!

So, I wanted to update my review, as I just had Peter and Kevin move me again. And I will likely have them move me again in a year. Look, I’m not a fugitive or anything, but the life of a single woman lets me move around as much as I want. I just have a little case of wanderlust. This time my wanderlust is leading me out of the country so I needed to put my stuff in storage. I may have been a little «frugal» in choosing my storage unit size, but they crammed every last piece of my stuff into the unit with room to spare.
And for all the single ladies (insert Beyoncé song here) — Kevin and Peter are not only sweet, funny, strong, careful with your stuff, and efficient, but I felt super safe. There is zero creep factor with these handsome chaps (am I being creepy now? Look, a handsome man is a handsome man. Add it to the plus side of these guys). Anyway, I feel like sometimes women have to look out for other women. Let’s be honest, if we had loads of strapping lads waiting at the ready to move us we wouldn’t have to hire movers. Fortunately, these guys are as good as they come.
So, when I come back in May, I hope Peter and Kevin have an empty slot to haul all of my crap out of my storage unit and into my next nomadic dwelling.

I’ve moved professional movers to help me move two times before with less than stellar experiences. One of the moving companies was not honest about their pricing and packing over the phone and gave me a cheap rate over the phone only to be overcharged after the movers arrived. The other company flat out lost and or stole a box of clothes with professional suits and jackets that I didn’t find out until several weeks later and my claim went nowhere.
Needless to say my guard was up before using z movers. I was a little worried about how the move would go and if they would do a good job. The movers were both super friendly, made me feel comfortable and were careful with moving my stuff. I couldn’t have been more happy. Moving from irvine to Glendale went off without a hitch and I would definitely use them again!

Peter and Kevin did our move this past weekend and I daresay it’s the best moving service my wife or I have ever used. No dings on anything, and before they left they even moved a few things around for us.
Excellent service and friendly people. You really can’t do better.

Z Movers were excellent! They were quick, thorough, and reliable. Their rates were affordable and totally worth it. They wrapped all furniture and breakables completely so nothing was scratched or broken. They communicated well and made sue everything was moved where I wanted it. Z Movers exceeded my expectations! Normally I would have made 10+ trips in my tiny car to move all my stuff, but when I moved into my new place this year I decided to hire a moving company. Z Movers gave me a very competitive quote — actually the lowest of the 3 companies contacted.
Professional movers makes all the difference — two guys helped pack and move my 1 bed/​1 bath apartment into my new apartment in less than 3 hours. They took the time to wrap my larger furniture in padded blankets (even the Ikea cheapo items were packed with care!) and helped set up my bed and furniture in my new place.
I was pretty much settled in by lunchtime, with minimal stress, no aching back, and no dings on the furniture. They were professional, courteous, all around nice guys, and worth every penny.

If you are looking for AMAZING movers these are the guys!!! I was given such great service. They worked around my hours and took extra care with some items that I was very particular about moving. The guys worked quickly and were very friendly (not to mention easy on the eyes.) All items moved were boxed /​bubble wrapped or had blankets on them. Nothing was damaged or scratched. I’ve moved so many times over the years and there are plenty of shady companies that quote one price and at the end charge you for a ton of little things. Z Movers gave me a good quote and was straight up about the price. I definitely recommend them to anyone who is looking to move in LA.
