this place has excellent carnitas. as authentic as it gets. not many reviews on here but this is the place all our dads that can barely turn on a computer go lol. i highly recommend the place. not much to look at. but the food is great

This is good, no doubt. However, I suggest your try Zamora’s Carnitas (Pico and Union) 213.385.5553 Quality much better. If you like pork rind, they have the real meaty type I personally prefer as well as two other varieties. Their barbecue beef and birria are the best I’ve ever had. I found the staff much more helpful, friendly and accommodating Hand made tortillas tamales open 7 days a week from 8a-9p Accept debit cards($ 0.60 charge)

If you have never tried a deep fried brain taco then then you have not experienced a taste overload one drawback they fishing early and the carnitas are good too

Here little piggy. .. is the place for real deep fried, Zamora Michoacan, style Carnitas! Zamora Michoacan Mexico is the birthplace of Carnitas. I could eat at this place until my arteries are clo…^…^…^…^…^…^…^…^…^ gged. Someone PLEASE hit me with the paddles!!! OK, I’m back. I simply go to Zamora Carnitas for, yes, you guessed it, the Carnitas. Oh yes, and their Chicharron’ is out of this world too. A long time ago I got some beans and rice there and it was OK but I’m only here to give the beef on the pork. After I eat Carnita’s at Zamora I feel dirty — in a good way — like I did something so wrong it felt good. Or is it the other way around? I forget. Anyway, you won’t be disappointed with the Carnitas at Zamora. You can pick your own pieces from the heated case filled with the freshly fried daily slaughter. I always pick the pieces that are crisp and dark around the outer edges. The Carnitas are cooked to perfection the old fashion Zamora Michoacan way, deep fried inside huge cast iron kettles. The pork is always tender and juicy on the inside and crispy and perfectly seasoned on the outside. The jig is up. So when you feel like gettin piggy with it go to Zamora Michoacan for Carnitas and Chicharron’ and don’t forget your blood thinners. Is that lard oozing out of your pores? Eat your heart out Porky, Petunia ain’t got nothin’ on Zamora! They serve up one FINE piggy.
