Maple Inn & Suites

Got a two bed/​room we noticed hairs and dirt stains on the sheets I went up to the lobby and asked for new sheets also the trash can was full of used nasty toilet paper. The lady told me the sheets are clean and it was a company that comes in and washes their sheets stating the machine when being pressed on the sheets causes the dirt stains. Okay 1. Why would that company make sheets have dirt stains? Isn’t the whole point of the company to clean your sheets?! Anyway they never came in to change the sheets even after I had gone up there twice. This is unnaceptable I will most definatly never be staying here, bad customer service! From all my hotel stays I have never had this issue ever and nobody should ! Don’t come here and spend even if its $ 60 dollars. I would much rather spend a couple 100 more in a fresh, clean enviroment than stay here ! …

1) blood stains all over bed spread & thermal blanket
2) black mold in the dresser drawers
3) COCKROACH in the night stand
4) cracked & peeling toilet seat & lid
5) exposed bulb in ceiling fixture
6) mildew in the bath tub
7) busted door frame
8) No smoke detector
9) Rust in the microwave
10) paint stains on carpet & furniture
11) no top latch on door
12) indents and scratches all over furniture

The plumbing at this place is horrible! Our first room the bathtub filled up with water when you try to shower. They were nice enough to switch us to the second room. Plumbing in that room was a little better in the shower but the toilet and flushing was another story. I’m not sure what they used to wash their bedding in, but my son broke out in a horrible rash all over his body and was itching and scratching. I don’t know that I’ll ever pass through this town again and want to stop but if I do I certainly won’t stop at this hotel.

A really wonderful gem that’s super cost efficient. Upon arrival we were greater by a very friendly and kind host that made our stay very comfortable. The staff, is obviously incredibly hard working and the rooms reflect that, very clean and spacious. Would absolutely stay again!

The quality of room is what you pay for. The lady working at the desk was very friendly and when she heard we had a bad experience at The Red Roof Inn she gave us a discount.

Poor customer service.
Rooms are not as described and the pictures posted online are deceiving. We saw the King standard room and the double room. They’re both Very very dated, dingy and unkept.
When we booked online 2 adults were charged $ 46 before tax but then they charged us an additional $ 5 for our toddler who was supposed to be free!!!
When I came to the front desk and request a cancellation because I was unhappy with the room, the woman on the front desk charged us $ 5!
We drove another 30 miles to check in to motel 6 that offered the same rate, which had a much better room and service.

Overall, not too bad for what you pay for. It’s not a luxury hotel but it’s honest. I stayed for one night just to crash and sleep. Didn’t have time to use the shower, but the sink did take quite a while for the water to warm up. Other than that, everything worked just fine: key card, heater, lights, fridge, free wifi, etc. Room was worn, but still clean, with no vermin. I’ve actually had worse experiences at (slightly pricier) major chain motels. Very friendly and helpful customer service. I wouldn’t mind stopping to rest here again.

Like many tired motorists, I wanted a place to rest on the drive LAX — SFO.
I saw a couple reviews that praised this place, so gave it a try.
MISTAKE.
Was the staff friendly? Yes. Are they opportunistic? Yes.
I called ahead, asked for lowest rate, confirmed availability. At check in, referred to the earlier quote. Was charged deluxe room rate. Front desk clerk didn’t want to change it. «The deluxe is nicer.» «You would have to wait while I prepare another key.» They know their clients are tired, need sleep now. Smiling at me while trying to eke out more $$ is BS. Rooms are all in the same shape: dilapidated, unpleasant.
One look at the room and you know. I stripped bed of its bedspread, made sure the sheets were clean and vermin-​free, got blanket and pillow from my car, went to sleep.
I left four hours later.
Noise level is problematic, whether room is at the rear of the property or curbside — roosters [crowing starts ~ 5:00a, non stop] and big rig traffic are a given.
I left without using the shower or brushing my teeth at the sink. Scrub all you want, the place looks like what it is: overdue for an overhaul.
Skip Los Banos. Stop in Hollister. Stop in a rest stop. Driving ten miles off I-​5 for this «deal» is a loser.

Ok so it’s not the Ritz Carlton but the rooms are clean, inexpensive and I only spent $ 50. We broke down on the I-​5 and in a pinch this was the place to rest. Staff is friendly.

How dare you guys use the word suite in your name. This place was a dump. Cobwebs with little tiny spider webs. None of the outlets worked. 3 lamps and not one of them worked. The room smelled moldy. The bed was hard and not comfy. The heater did not work.

Worst place to stay at, I understand I went cheap by really? Roaches, dirty walls, empty bottles under the bed and stains on the blankets and sheets. I’m very happy my son didn’t come with us because it’s not healthy. I saw the nice pictures and thought that it would be worth the stay. We arrived early and they wouldn’t let us check in so we slept in our car, there was No one there at all and they refused to let us rent another room.
There was No light bulbs in 2 of the 3 lights in the room. The bathroom had the drain caving, and I was almost went to the store to go get cleaning supplies.
I also went and bought my own blanket so I didn’t have to be in theirs.
Do not stay here!
they also told us if we damaged the room we would be charged $ 250. Lololololol

I was forced to spend 6 days in Los Baños, CA after my transmission blew up on me on a trip from Los Angeles to Portland. The proprietors were awesome. Viju always had a word of encouragement for me and even shared some Indian food with me. If I’m ever in that neck of the woods I’d definitely stay there again.

Do not stay here. This place is a dump. Owners are nice but no hot water and the place is filthy.
I would give this place a zero. The bed was full of hairs, stain and the walls are dirty. We were on our way to San Fran and got tired. This was the only place available and man did we pay the price. No hot water to shower the towels were stained I mean this place was straight disgusting. I don’t know where the others got the reviews about this place being nice but sorry our room was filthy.

It’s 3am and we really needed a place to crash. Called every hotel on the 99 and on the 5 going north bound, we had no luck! Then we called Maple Inn, a friendly voice picked up and delivered the most awesome news: «yes, we have vacancy.» How much? «$ 50.00.» The reviews on Unilocal were mixed, but I trusted the ones that said this place was clean.
It’s not a five star hotel, ya’ll so don’t expect the Ritz. Expect awesome service from ViJu and expect clean rooms though. It’s an old hotel! So don’t be picky, Unilocalers. Rest assure the sheets are clean and bathrooms are clean.
If we are driving up north again, this would be our place to crash.

Clean rooms and friendly service. A good value for weary travelers. Stop by on your next trip through Los Banos

The absolute best thing about this place is the owners. They are wonderfully sweet and accommodating. Not to mention incredibly friendly.
The other great thing about this hotel is that it is cheap, the bathrooms are nice, and the rooms while definitely worn and weathered are comfortable and a decent size.
The few issues I have are these: the parking lot is very very dark. While the hotel is on the main drag, it’s not well lit giving it a slightly seedy appearance.
Also, I would really prefer to have a fitted sheet on the bed and a mattress pad, rather than just a loose flat sheet.
However, overall this hotel is excellent for the price.

I see a lot of worthy compliments, but only two stars on the other reviews… confusing… This place and price easily deserve a 5 star. I live in hotels, literally, and do so across the west coast and really like this place.
I was greeted at 10 pm by someone with a great personality, who was very helpful and full of smiles.
The room was equally great! Clean, smelled nice and stocked with all that I need. I wish I could move this set up and person (forgot her name) at the counter to some of the other cities I stay in!
Easy to access from I-​5!!! I will be back!

Great for the price. Owners were very sweet and even called us when we forgot our phone charger. When we first drove up I must admit I was worried but it was just what we needed for an overnight stay. The only thing that would be a nice change is bigger bars of soap and a fitted sheet on the mattress.

Excellent value. My room was clean, and equipped with a microwave, a fridge AND a coffee maker and the bed was incredibly comfortable. Staying here’s a lot like crashing in a friend’s guest room :)

Stayed here for one night on the way up to San Francisco.
I’m not a very picky guest and I can’t say this was terrible by any means. But it was definitely lacking, even for a cheap stay option.
The room walls and floor seem a bit weathered, which isn’t a huge deal to me, just gave it a much cheaper ambiance. The bed had a plastic wrap around the mattress, which crinkled whenever you move on the bed. The bed sheet didn’t wrap around, it merely hung over the side. The air conditioner did it job decently, but made a noise that woke me up every time it turned on (it should be noted I am a light sleeper, so this may not be an issue for most others).
There were very few plugs, which were mostly being used by the other appliances.
On the positive side, the bathroom was solid.
Main point: even for this price (or close to it), you could probably do better in Los Banos.
