I came in off of a referral. This is my first time getting hair extensions. And I’m so happy to say that I have gone to the best! I know she’s the best because while I was there she had a celebrity in there. Not only did I meet a celebrity but I also witnessed a YouTube video being made because of her amazing technique. She is fast and so I didn’t feel like I was sitting there for a long time I’ve heard other people complain about how long extension take. She convinced me to leave my hair long and we could cut it later if I wanted. And now I’m in love. So I took all her recommendations let her do what she does best. And now I’m walking around feeling fabulous! Thanks you!!! I love my hair!!!

I tried for the 1^st time braidless sew in hair extensions by Melonie and I must say she is the extension whisperer!!! She is very professional and I was blown away with her work ethics. I’m in love with my hair, it looks beautiful and natural. Even my husband who never ever comments on my hair said «wow this lady is an expert» your hair looks amazing! Melonie is a Magician!!. If you are New to extensions or Nervous READ THIS to calm your nerves :) I have never done extensions before so had no idea what to expect. But I walked out happy and surprised at what Melonie just created.
First up Call Melonie and talk to her. Schedule a free consultation. I was able to have my consultation when she was working on another client. (Highly Recommend).
That way I could understand a bit more about all the techniques, how it looks, how it feels etc.
Melonie looked at my hair quality and texture and recommended what we should do. Even though I was skeptical on how the end result is going to be I went ahead and scheduled the appt. On the day of the appt Melonie came with me to the hair shop and helped me pick the extensions. Trust me its ok to be scared but you need to trust what Melonie is saying as well. So I just looked at her and asked her «you sure these extensions are right for me» All she said was «Don’t worry they are great «ok then. I was thinking «The worst that can happen is I will remove the extensions and go back to my original look» I have nothing to loose (except the money, but i was ready to take the risk)
Melonie started to put layers of those beads and later attached/​sewed the hair in there. After all the hair is added this stage is the worst of all haha !!! because the extensions have not been blended in and they need to be styled and cut. Blood pressure was raising at this point. I kept telling Melonie please do not cut my existing hair, don’t do anything to them. (this is because I wanted to have my fall back option ready) Swear to god in no time she styled the hair and things just changed. I broke into my happy dance (in my head). I was so excited with the magic that Melonie had performed to enhance my look. I remember saying «Oh my god this is exactly what I wanted for so long but just didn’t know how it would look»
What happens tomorrow? Will they still look as good tomorrow? Will they be easy to style? will I be able to sleep fine with the beads in? What will my co-​workers think? How did my hair grow overnight? All these questions are valid and expected. I encourage you to think of all these things. Because you will find answers to all those questions in the following days. You will soon realize its very easy to maintain your new look.
I felt that Melonie’s personality is calm and friendly and she rides Harleys omg !!
She was super flexible in accommodating my schedule and gave me guidance on how to take care of the hair and shampoo recommendation for my hair type.

I wanted a braidless sew in with the closure but she doesn’t do closure’s she had the perfect solution! I was new to the area, so I was really concerned that I would find someone that could do hair extensions for my hair type (african american). However, in reading the reviews I thought I would try Melonie. Melonie was awesome from my first discussion and she did a good job to ensure me that she handles various types of hair and installation techniques. Melonie definitely did NOT disappoint; her prices are competitive, she is fast, she not only helped me pick out my new hair, but she colored the hair for me as well, when the color was not available in my desired length, she knows how to cut your hair so it doesn’t look like it came out of a bag, AND I can wear cute ponytails without worrying that the beads would show through… and above all she is a joy to talk to. I am completely satisfied and she is stuck with me as long as i’m in the area.

Well, I am totally new to the extension world and COMPLETELY lucked out finding Melonie! She was beyond awesome! She booked enough time to hold my hand through buying hair, then matching the color/​highlights she had just put in my hair with the extensions! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it! Melanie is awesome! She is GREAT at braidless sew-​in extensions and a fun prerson to talk to! Environment is very comfortable. It only took her about ½ hours to do my extensions and at a great price too. I would definitely recommend her.

This woman is a genius and an artist! From her A+ customer service to the time and careful attention she took helping me choose the hair and thoughtful placement of each weft and strand, Melonie is truly a top notch hair extension specialist.
If you are on the fence about extensions, stop thinking and pick up the phone! I cannot express to you how awesome it feels to have thick, luxurious hair after so many decades of struggling to grow it past my shoulders. I went from thin, straggly hair to perfectly color matched curls — I don’t want to be dramatic but it’s life changing. I’m telling you, good hair makes EVERYTHING better!
Here’s how it works: I met with her at the beauty supply (a few doors down) where she helped select the exact color, style and quality of hair. We discussed what I was looking for (just length or thickness, etc) and choose the hair. Melonie is such a frequent customer that the store gives ‘us’ her discount… awesome! We then went to her salon where she washed my hair and in less than 2 hours, installed a full head of multi-​colored hair. =)
She paid close attention to exactly where each extension would go, which way it faced and had special tricks to blend colors making them look even more realistic. She continually looked at the front to make sure placement was both balanced, flattering and not visible. She even taught me techniques for washing, drying and how to tame them in the wind so they don’t become visible.
I am thanking my lucky stars that I found her! You will not be sorry :)

Obsessed is all I can say!
After years upon years of clip-​ins, I thought it was time for a more permanent method of hair application. Clip-​ins are great. until you see the damage that wearing them everyday can take on your hair + the fact you have to remove them and put in them in everyday.
After hours of researching and consultations at various salons (Ehem, $ 1,000 for tape-​ins, no thanks!), I stumbled upon Melonie. Upon looking at her reviews and prices on her website I was sold! I mean a stylist who can do almost any type of hair extension technique including braid less sew-​ins, amazing!
Upon my visit to the salon, we went right down the block to purchase the hair for the extensions. Unfortunately, the hair shop was closed but after a few quick calls, the owner actually drove to Los Gatos to open it back up for Melonie! Talk about customer loyalty! Also, what salon do you know that actually purchases the hair with you instead of ordering it through a «distributor» and jacking up the cost?
My hair initially was a greyish-​blonde with tons of damage. Melonie actually took the time to correct the color first and include a free hair trim! My hair matched the extensions perfectly. She was so kind and patient and surprisingly the braid less sew-​in technique was pretty painless and quick to apply. After the application was done, she blended them perfectly!
If you’re like me, endlessly searching Unilocal for the right person/​salon to do hair extensions, go to Melonie! You will not be disappointed.

Anyhow Melonie is awesome when it comes to hair and extensions. I’m mixed Italian & Black, and I got the kinky hair. I was a bit hesitant to go to her at first because in all honesty not everyone knows how to deal with my type of hair.
Since she came highly recommended I went anyway, and I’m glad I did! She knows how to deal with all kinds of hair. She went over my options and helped me decide which works best for me. I Love my LONG STRAIGHT hair :-)

Review is long overdue… Melonie is your go to extension specialist! She can do sew ins, braidless, micro links etc on any hair texture. I have ethnic hair, very thick — came to her because I use clip in extensions and am tired of taking them in and out. She recommended I go with the braidless sewin, which allows me to leave my natural hair out. I loved it! I wanted the Victoria secret look with layers, she did exactly what I wanted.
The shop is small and calm, which I loved and she finished in a timely manner. If you are looking for extensions go to Melonie! She is also VERY reasonable with her rates.
Also, there is a hair shop down the street from her place with great hair. It’s pricey, but I’ve been using the same hair for 3 – 4 months now and it’s still awesome.

Melonie is absolutely amazing. I had my hair done with her yesterday (I got the braided sew ins) and she was able to get me in the same day. I told her it was my birthday coming up and she was very accommodating. Moreover, she helped me pick out the perfect hair color along with a natural highlight for my hair and now it looks gorgeous– so naturally done I swear it was my real locks! Prior to my appointment with her, I tried every technique and styling tool to achieve volume … to no avail. Now my hair is SUPER FULL and luxurious, as if I am starring in my very own pantene commercial. I am officially converted and will be going back to her again and again. Melonie’s got a customer in me for life.

I had extensions in SF before and it was $ 1800 and didn’t even look good. with Melonie it was way cheaper (much less than half of what I paid in SF and it looked 1000x better). What more could you possibly ask for? Give her a call today and get the gorgeous, super model hair you’ve always wanted! My fiancé saw my hair and was stunned on how amazing it looked. Melonie is indeed a miracle worker. We both couldn’t be happier.

I love Melonie! If you are looking for extensions and longer hair, SHE is the one to see! I found her on Craigslist and her pricing was really good. I’d tried extensions 3 times before, all over 10 years ago. I was ripped off $$, my hair pulled out and the extensions looked awful and FAKE. When I expressed my concerns to Melonie she explained why she was different and how techniques were newer now. I came wanting tape ins due to past experiences but she talked me into braidless sew-​ins.
We walked down the street to buy hair and even the guys there were really nice. She even gave me some beauty business advice on the walk back! The braidless sew-​ins lie really flat and they don’t feel bulky at all. I can even pull it back in a pony tail.
My 11 yo son who usually doesn’t have a speed bump from brain to mouth said the following when he saw the completed look:
