History
Established in 1963.
The building and the land it sits on was built in 1961 and in 1963 Hoefler’s Truck Stop Dinner at the Summit of newly opened Highway 17 opened. This ran for 20 some years and then became Cloud 9. I’ve herd about this being a contributor to why there is a middle divider. After 9 an Asian family ran it and put in the amazing water features in the backyard. Then the last 15 years is what everyone knows… it has opened and closed from togo dinner place that got a new paint every 6 weeks, to a rowdy biker bar/steak house, and a few more until Kralj’s on 17 opened 50 years later in 2013.
Kralj’s owner comes from a Restaurant family and has always enjoyed planing and preparing food.
