Neeraj Kochhar, MD

I was a patient of dr Kochhar before he had his concierge and now again afterwards. Because HE is totally worth it. I read some of the previous reviews and I was completely blindsided by «C.P.» Dr Kochhar always makes himself available and has a amazing staff. While I was in between being his patient as my company moved to kaiser (which I had a awesome dr there too), and after my new company didn’t offer kaiser, I was on a search only because of the additional expense of his concierge program. I met with several different doctors and the lovin feeling just wasn’t there… I didn’t feel they would have my back. I am so thrilled that I’m back with Kochhar. He is amazing, with the times in medical research, available when I need him and makes me laugh yet authentically cares. I would have nor have I EVER wrote about a dr on one of these sites, but felt this was worth the effort and time. If you are looking for a up to date doctor who knows his shit. Look no further.

I’m a breast cancer survivor so I take my health very seriously. Which is why Dr. Kochhar is my physician. He’s practicing medicine the way it should be practiced; in a preventive style with lots of attention to detail. I’ve never had a doctor as thorough or as questioning as Dr. Kochhar. Even my oncologist didn’t ask for my past medical records in order to do a thorough examination. Dr. Kochhar does two things I really like: he personally tailors his medicine to the patient and he treats the patient as he would one of his own family members. He gets my highest recommendation.

Dr. Kochhar and his entire staff are personable, professional and wonderful people. They take the time to speak to you about whatever your needs are. Dr. Kochhar is very humorous, had a great bedside manner and cares about his patients. He has gone out of his way to make sure my medications are working and to refer me to specialists when needed. Best doctor and staff I have ever had. There is no one more I would trust with my health.

Simply the best! Dr. Kochhar has been the primary physician for my family since before he adopted the concierge model. Staying with him was an easy decision and each year that goes by I feel evermore grateful that he is in the lives of my entire (extended) family. He is always a quick phone call or text message away and today was the best example yet of why he is an invaluable resource for my family. My 4 y/​o son fell this AM and did some serious damage to his mouth. After a few quick text messages, including photos, he told us to hold off on going to the ER for stitches and to come by his place instead. Once we arrived, my son immediately calmed down and let Dr. Kochhar examine him. Dr. Kochhar was not sure that stitches would be necessary so he pulled out some popsicles for my son so that the cold would help decrease the swelling thus helping to close the wound! Brilliant solution for a child who did not want anything near the cut (no wipes, no ice bags, nothing!). After 40 minutes and 2 popsicles we were sent away with a «perscription» for 1 popsicle per hour — and Dr. Kochhar even provided the pospsicles! During the rest of the day he texted us 3 times to make sure that our son was still doing ok and that the wound was still closing on it’s own, which it was. This saved us from my son needing pain medication shot into his lip, saved us hours of our time and saved us $$ all while being taken care of by someone who we KNOW truly cares about us and the results of his recommendations. An amazing Dr. and an amazing person!

He is the worst primary care physician you could have. I had serious health condition which he completely misdiagnosed and repeatedly denied giving specialist referral and would not order MRI as he kept saying he couldn’t justify that with insurance. I almost died due to his negligence, luckily my wife’s doctor saw my condition and had my MRI done just in time for me to get surgery without incurring permanent damage.
So beware of this physician, stay miles away from him.

I posted almost two years ago, when I first adopted Dr. Kochhar as my physician. He has been through it with me since! By «it», I mean every step forward and back possible on my road to recovery and he was always committed to finding a solution and to listening to me. When it came time to acknowledge that he’s tried every creative avenue he knew and while we’d make progress, some ailments were sill present, he did the ethical thing and referred me to a specialist to work out the few things he was challenged by. The specialist was an excellent referral and I still see both Dr. Kochhar for some things, and the specialst to whom he referred me, for the rest. It’s the best of both worlds and I’m getting healther by the week. I love Dr. Kochhar’s care and believe he is a quality physician and an excellent human being. My money is well spent as my health is worth every dime, as is a physician who is both knowledgeable and who has lovely bedside manner. I wish there were more Dr.‘s like him, but I just need one! Thank you, Dr. Kochhar, for all you’ve done over the years and for never giving up on me.

Dr. Kochhar is awesome, and I don’t know if you can put a price on your health, just ask your self that question! I know people that pay more for there cable bill.
I went from my family physician that I have been seeing for 10+ years to Dr.Kochhar.
The first day I saw Dr. Kochhar was amazing, he was the only one that could answer all my questions that many other Doctors did not have answers to. He also reassured me he had many solutions to help me get 100% healthy again. He’s is worth every penny, and think about it most PPO insurances cost a lot more then 150.00 a month. You still need a HMO or PPO for prescriptions and in case of hospital emergency’s.
Plus when you see Doctors that take PPO’s you can join the list of the other 2,500−4,000 patients. Imagine trying to see that many patients and remembering every ones problems and names «lol».
What the insurance company’s are doing to these doctors and patients is not fair. The only way a Doctor can care about his patients is to shorten the list of patients, but by doing that would hurt the doctors quota they have to meet. So the only way for Doctors to get paid is a numbers game, they have a certain quota they need to meet from the insurance company’s, for how many patients they need to see per business quarter or year.
There is a lot that we don’t know about the business but I strongly feel that there is no price greater then being healthy.
I am doing the quarterly plan, where you spend only 450.00 every three months, that breaks down to about 150.00 a month. You cannot pay monthly, there is a quarterly, half year or annually plan. But in the end result like Josh S. says «spending $ 1800/​year «
But within that price your entire family will be able to see him, your kids have to be under the age of 18 I believe. So all the up to date vaccinations and flu shots will be given and maintained through out each year. As Josh also mentioned you will get examined head to toe for any man known diseases too every year if needed.
Dr. Kochhar is only seeing about 400 patients, that makes me feel like I am no longer a number on a medical chart.
To me actions a lot louder then words. He spent more time with me on the first visit then most doctors have given me this entire year.
I am very excited to have Dr. Kochhar as my new physician, and I do know I am in good hands.

Ok Dr. Kochhar is one of the best in the area but as you have all said he decided to run his business a lot different then the rest. I am actually really disappointed with him for this decision but I understand. I had been going to him since he first came to the area and setup shop. I still go to the office but to see Dr. Weeks instead. I really felt let-​down from him and like Josh said, I’m just not sick enough to spend that sorta money each month.

Yes, his new practice model is probably offensive to some, but when you look at the real care that he is now able to generate, it’s certainly attractive to me.
Had my first physical with him today, and I was very pleased. When was the last time you spent with your General Practioner for two hours?

Best doctor I think I’ve ever had — he truly cares about his patients.

Well, even though I respect Dr. Kochhar’s professional decision to reorganize his practice (see Josh S’s review), from a patient’s perspective —
I only see people I trust, I spend time and energy establishing relationships, and as a result, I personally feel screwed nonetheless.
Bumping the review down a notch (actually, three notches).

Dr. Kochhar has just announced that he’s going to be turning his office into a concierge medical practice. He’s dropping all insurance plans. Instead, he’s going to charge a flat fee of $ 150/​month to be his patient. For that flat fee, you get all the appointments and care that you need from him. You also get his email address and cell phone number. Finally, you get a yearly exam that checks every last corner of your body for every obscure disease known to man.
I’m in a real bind now. I’m neither sick enough nor hypochondriac enough to justify spending $ 1800/​year on medical care. On the other hand, I can’t find another doctor who is anywhere near as good as Dr. Kochhar. If/​When I do get sick someday, I’m going to be in trouble without him.

I have been going to Dr. Kocchar for about 7 years, I think he is one of the best general physicians around. I especially like his bedside manners and the fact that he listens to you and answers all your questions patiently.

Dr. Kochhar is the best.

I chose Dr. Kochhar as my primary physician based on the recommendation above. I have to say that I was very happy with my experience. He took a genuine interest in explaining what the problem was and the treatment course he was suggesting. He was patient and heard me out and addressed my concerns. I am glad I found Dr. Kochhar.

Dr. Kochhar is probably the best general practitioner I’ve ever visited. He’s incredibly thorough, which is a welcome change in today’s environment where you often feel rushed out the door. I’m always able to get in within a couple days of calling. I have high confidence in his expertise, as his diagnoses always seem spot on with my symptoms and I’ve never had to visit him a second time for any one ailment. Furthermore, he’s quite personable and doesn’t dismiss concerns and questions out of hand. Getting down to see him is a bit of a hike for me, but I’d gladly drive twice as far for someone I trust so implicitly.
