Good thai food! One of my favorite places. Good prices. They did not get a 5 star as they can be a little short and not terrible friendly.

Thai Spice has the best yellow curry(I get it with chicken) I have ever had, and I’ve been to many a Thai restaurant. I’ve frequented this establishment for over 7 years, and the yellow curry is absolutely delicious and consistent. My favorite dish! However, their staff(the seeming owner and the ladies up front) is unfailingly rude. Their attitude is really too bad. It’s always been that way, but because the food is really tasty, I just have to ignore it.

Amazing food! Loved the pad Thai and Penang curry we ordered. The Thai iced tea was great too. And the sticky rice and mango was amazing! Friendly service, nice atmosphere, and a good price… what could be better! Will definitely be back.

I always have a great time with great food at both of their locations. Definitely a family go to get together spot. Usually we go for yellow curry with chicken, green papaya salad, Panang curry with chicken, pad Thai, and sweet and sour pork.

I come here once in a while to get their lunch specials. For only $ 8.95, you get a very generous amount of food: soup, salad, steamed rice, and the main entrée! That’s pretty good considering most places charge $ 10 – 12 for lunch specials nowadays. The Panang red curry is soo good & coconut-y! However, the beef that they use in it isn’t very good quality meat. There were just a few weird pieces that we had to spit out. Pad Thai and spicy fried rice are pretty good here too. One time, the spicy fried rice came with undercooked shrimp and they immediately made us a new one. The green curry is meh in my opinion. 4 stars for their week day lunch specials! Not sure if I would drive out here for their regular weekend/dinner menu.

It is a ways out from where I live, but well worth it. The food is fresh and all the dishes I’ve ordered have been consistently delish! The food is not as spicy as I’m use to, but mild and you can add additional spices with variety of chili! I’ve ordered the roti, salmon, pineapple fried rice, and my friends ordered bbq chicken, papaya salad, and yellow chicken curry. I’ve been here 3x and would def go their again! Their portions are huge for me, or decent size for my friends.

I’ve had Thai food in several places during my stint in the area. Thai Spice is by far the bet yet! I’m not sure why it doesn’t have better reviews but it gets the Fat Guy seal of approval from me! I called in an order to go and the lady on the phone was slightly abrupt and all business which came across as a little off putting. When I arrived to pick up the order the impression was much better and she was very pleasant and accommodating. My food was ready on time and packaged very neatly. I was saddened to find that rice is not included in the price and if you want rice you’ll pay extra but it seems that’s just the trend in the area because it’s the norm here. It’s not expensive but I just have to remember to actually order it. I got back to my hotel and opened to find a healthy portion of chicken(in yellow curry) and taters and carrots and a delicious sauce. Most places skimp on the meat and load the veggies but not here. meat a plenty and a fair amount of veggies. I liked it so much that I went back the next night and ate in the restaurant. Took two guys from work and they both really enjoyed it too. The House Special fried rice is served in a halved pineapple. A+ for showmanship! The service was attentive but not intrusive. Just the way I like it! Pricing is commensurate with the other local establishments in the area. Not inexpensive but the value is there. Again, this is so far the best Thai food I’ve found in the area and it just might be worth the drive when the craving hits and I’m not so close.

Got a «to go» order for lunch. Totally screwed me, I should have checked my order– but nothing more disappointing than getting all the way home only to have salad and a red sauce(no rice, no chicken) what??? Taste was ok. Sticking to Lana Thai.

The wait staff was friendly and attentive without hovering. The food was great(I always go with standard chicken Pad Thai the first time I visit a new Thai restaurant) and had a subtle, but tasty, smoky flavor to it, though«medium spicy» was mild at best. The ambiance was on par with what you would expect in downtown Los Gatos(remodeled December 2015 according to the waitress) and the lunch specials were very reasonably priced. I’m not sure why the restaurant only has 3.5 stars on Unilocal, but I’d give it a solid five based on my first experience. For less than $ 10(pre-tip), I had a flavorful lunch and enough leftovers for at least one additional, hardy meal. I can think of no complaints other than that the spice was a little light, and I assume most prefer the conservative approach that they have to their heat ratings. Definitely worth a shot if you’re in the area.

Best Thai food in the area! One of my favorite restaurants to eat at or get take out. I love stoping by on my way to work to get food for my lunch and a Thai Tea. It’s always a good day when I get Thai Spice!

Came here for lunch while I was in the area. The people were friendly and we were seated quickly. They have lunch specials everyday. I ordered the pad see ew with beef and the spring rolls with shrimp to share. The soup of the day was tom yum and the salad was a simple and light. My food was good and the portion size is big.

Food is delicious here. Huge amounts with an amazing lunch special price(8.95 — for soup salad and an entrée) At first I wasn’t happy with their service, but they’ve improved and so has the entire atmosphere with the renovation!

This is one of the best Thai places I’ve eaten in(or maybe because I just love Thai food)! Our clinic always orders from this restaurant whenever we’re craving Thai food, and this place always seems to hit the spot! I suppose the only flaw is the parking space. but I guess there’s not much we can do since it’s in downtown. The amount of food they give is enormous for a decent price. We ordered chicken red curry, fried tofu(I literally laughed out loud because I had accidentally typed«friend tofu,» sorry – random), pad thai and chicken pad se ew! I LOOOOOVED the chicken pad se ew! There was an even amount of chicken, veggies and noodles! It wasn’t too sweet or salty, and just what Goldilocks said, «It’s juuuuust right!» I think my fiancé and I had ordered too much food, and ended up taking everything else to go… but best believe, we finished everything for dinner. Hahaha. I wish I could go back. too bad driving in downtown isn’t really my thing.

This place is small. like really small. and really hard to navigate. you enter in and there are only a few tables around. you walk all the way to the back and then there’s a narrow row of tables that you can sit at on the other side of the wall. the food is decent and the service is fine. though a little iffy depending on when you go. i usually get the crab fried rice. comes with a decent amount of rice. crab is kind of lacking or shredded into tiny pieces that i and sometimes see. they put a paper mat on your table to easily dispose of your mess after you leave /to keep their cloths clean. i don’t really like this aspect. the paper kind of makes it feel really dingy. but idk. prob just being too particular about this. the food is a decent price though when you’re talking about thai food price ranges.

Came for a late dinner. Food was really good, got exactly what we expected, and the price was right. Soft crab served on an oversized bed of lettuce with very little sauce so we asked for more. The curry calamari was tender, and the pineapple curry was delicious. The service was good although not as friendly as we would’ve hoped.(Still friendly though). Will return.

I eat there quite often during my lunch break. It is Americanized Thai food, not geniune/original Thai food(been living 10 years in Asia including 1.5 in Thailand), but it’s not bad at all. You do get a bit of Thai taste in your dish :) I do enjoy eating there because they can make your dish«Thai spicy» which is extremely hot(don’t ask for Thai spicy if you are used to ‘american hot’ because you won’t be able to eat your meal). Since I love eating very spicy food(especially spicy vegetables), it’s the only place where I can actually order super hot stir fried veggies and tofu and have a bash burning my mouth and eating white/plain rice with hot gravy. For most set lunch: you pick your ‘type” of veg/sauce you like, select a meet, select the heat level. Get it with a large portion of rice. Nice vegetarian options. Warning for curry lovers: the red curry is *way* too sweet!

Wir waren zu viert und haben die Gerichte miteinander geteilt. Das Essen war ausgesprochen gut! Die Bedienung gab sich Mühe, hatte offenbar von der Kritik gelernt. Ich würde wieder hier essen.

As a Los Gatos native, Thai Spice is a timeless favorite. I hope it’s around forever. Everything on the menu is delicious and made with care. Most recently, my friend and I got the papaya salad(sans shrimp) and the Pumpkin curry with chicken(one of the specials). Everything was amazing and made to share in large portions! The food ended up being too much to even finish and only cost us $ 25 total. The papaya salad came in a large quantity and tasted fresh and tangy. The pumpkin curry was to die for. It was delicious orange curry with peppers and generous amounts of chicken served in a roasted pumpkin! So amazing. Every single scoop was filled with the curry and some of the roasted pumpkin bowl. It was genius and so so yummy. 5 stars, always!
