We offer a range of spiritual growth, arts, and service opportunities for all ages in addition to Sunday services. A professional Pre-School offers superior early childhood education.
History
Established in 1943.
St. Mark’s history goes back to 1926 when leading early residents of the Santa Ynez Valley began meeting in area homes. The church was officially established as a church in the Episcopal Diocese of Los Angeles in 1943. The first church building was in Solvang on the corner of Laurel and Alisal. Beginning in the 1970s St. Mark’s began a move to Los Olivos. In a ten-year span, three buildings were built on the current church campus on land donated by Ambassador Leonard Firestone. Brooks Firestone was the Building Committee chair. The church has been a cornerstone of the Santa Ynez Valley region, welcoming local organizations and individuals while offering a range of spiritual, arts and service programs.
