Meet the Business Owner

Ron S.

Business Owner

Ron Stewart, president and founder, began when he was 20 and is still actively involved today. Born and raised in the Eastport community of Annapolis, his love of landscaping came from his grandmother. «She had a green thumb and got me interested in plants. She was a member of the landscape design council for the Washington D.C. area and would take me to seminars when I was young. My uncle had a doctorate in landscaping. I was surrounded by it and fascinated; at the time, it seemed like easy work.»

He has taken advanced classes at the National Arboretum in Washington, D.C., at the University of MD and Anne Arundel Community College. He has also taken numerous creative classes as well as technical courses, including environmentally-safe pesticides and fertilizers. Ron is licensed by the MD Dept of Agriculture for pesticides and treatment of turf disease. He is a member of the Assoc of Landscape Contractors of America, Professional Grounds Maintenance Society & the MD Turf Grass Council
