Best Septic Service was started in 1965 by Harold S. Colby in Concord, NH just as this industry was being developed. New was the idea of septic maintenance as a preventative measure and Best Septic Service was a front runner providing service and education to the Captial Area. Mr. Colby developed a huge portable toilet service that incorporated most of New Hampshire, including providing portable toilet services on top of Mt. Washington when they built the new Observatory/​Museum in 1973.

Retiring in 1990, Mr. Colby turned the reins over to employee Paul Johnson. Paul and his team have built Best Septic Service to a formable company in central NH. Best Septic Services team stays educated with all the new innovative solutions to wastewater management so we can provide the best level of education to our customers. We maintain quality services and products at a level of distinction.

Paul Johnson has been working in the septic industry for 25 years. Working closely with his mentor Harold Colby, Paul now mentors his son Eric, and driver Greg to provide the best and most educational septic service possible. He feels its beyond important that our customers know why a proper functioning septic system is so essential, not only to your property but also to our fragile water eco system. We all need clean water to survive and the answer is basically simple: Use clean safe water from our underground aquifers, but also return the clean safe water back into the ground in an environmentally sound way to protect and keep our water supply abundant for all and forever. Believe or not, that starts in each of our own back yards!
