History
Established in 2011.
In May of 2011, Travel Resorts of America purchased Wally World Camping Resort, renaming the resort Wally World Riverside Resort, keeping with the campgrounds name’s origin. The campground is named for the Walhonding Railroad, which was nicknamed Wally Railroad. In the early 1900s the railroad was a 43-mile stretch that ran between Loudonville and Coshocton, Ohio. Its original purpose was coal transportation, but in its later years it was utilized much more as a passenger rail and was known as the «most beautiful train ride in Ohio.» Riverside was added by Travel Resorts of America to express your ability to camp on the riverbanks of the Mohican River while camping at Wally World Riverside Resort. The area is called «Ohio’s Largest Outdoor Complex» and is a great place to visit. There is so much to do and see!
Meet the Manager
Rod J.
Manager
I have been with Travel Resorts of America since April 2011, and have been in the camping industry for over 20 years.
My favorite things about the Resort are first and foremost the Members and my staff. I am privileged to be surrounded by great people. The fact that the Resort is located in one of the most beautiful areas of Ohio and surrounded by so many opportunities to enjoy the outdoors is another.
I highly recommend that you visit the Amish attractions in Berlin, Walnut Creek, Sugar Creek, and surrounding areas while you’re here. The countryside is beautiful and the towns are full of shopping and dining opportunities. The Amish attractions are only 30 minutes away, but if you wish to stay closer there are canoe liveries, horseback riding, go-carts, shopping, restaurants, and much more just within a few short miles.
My staff and I look forward to welcoming you to our beautiful Resort, and wish everyone safe and happy travels!
