I came here for a Make Your Own Mala class. I have beaded constantly in my life but never took a class. I have zero knowledge of the history of Mala or how to create one, but I was interested so I signed up.
The shop is adorable: colorful beads everywhere, some pre-​made jewelry to purchase and clothing to try on and purchase. There was a small table 4 of us sat at to make our Malas. We were taught about the importance of having 108 beads on the Mala, why each gem is significant to our Mala and the peaceful nature of our Mala. Lauren was extremely knowledge not only on Malas but also on the art of beading.
I had a wonderful experience and enjoyed my time there. Art & Soul Beads have a booth at Flea Off Market and teach classes several times a month.

We went as a group of 5 to make a mosaic wire bracelet (which I thought would be impossibly hard) and we had so much fun! Thanks to our class teacher and jewelry maker Emily, she explained every step wonderfully and we all were so proud of our finished product! We will definitely be back!

Awesome! SO FUN. Highly recommend. Bought a living social deal and Emily was super accommodating re: mixing up the deal a bit and allowing me to bring my own beads/​fix my necklace. My mom and I appreciated Emily’s advice and her teaching skills are spot on. Emily’s mom even helped me clean my beads. :)
