This Beverage Warehouse location has been my liquor store of choice since college. It is located in Central Station shopping center, just south of the University of Louisville’s campus. To be totally honest, I don’t know how prices compare to other stores, but I like that I can shop at my leisure. Some of the top shelf liquors are locked up, but it’s much better than those places were everything is behind the counter.(I’m indecisive when it comes to booze; I need more time.) I personally have had very helpful service here, even with recommendations(again, indecisive). I usually don’t buy a lot of beer here, but it does seem their beer selection is a bit smaller than some larger stores.(Don’t get me wrong; this is a good sized liquor store overall.) However, I have found some local beers here, like Falls City. It’s also right beside a Kroger, so if I need mixers or drink toppings(whipped cream, orange juice, etc.), I make that as a stop. Fun fact: Beverage Warehouse is actually a locally owned business and part of LIBA!

Terrible management, the manager is extremely rude and can not take responsibility. Sale price was $ 19.99 and rang up as $ 21.99. After telling the employee they told me to tell the manager. After finally being able to find the manager they told me I was wrong. That whatever the price it rings up as is the price you pay. After explaining the sticker price did not match the price that it rang up as, she got extremely defensive. She started telling me that $ 21.99 was the price for«who knows how long» and that is the price. After telling her that the sticker price is what I should be charged she cut me off and began to get irate. She handed me $ 2 from the register and told me to never come back again. That I was no longer allowed in the store. I tried to calm her down(I have no idea why she was getting so upset) she began to get furious. I told her I come here all the time and if she doesn’t want my business anymore that’s fine I will go somewhere else. I was expecting an apology and a simple $ 2. Even though $ 2 isn’t a big deal, it’s the principal of the matter. Needless to say, I will never be back ever again. I do no support businesses that treat their customers poorly

It’s a local liquor store geared towards college students. It does what it does well, but nothing more. The beer selection is somewhat limited and geared heavily towards the cheap-piss beer. If you’re going for a common booze, you’ll definitely find what you need/want.
