Campus Quilt Company

Campus Quilt made my favorite quilt about ten years ago. I love it, and I’ve recommended the company to many people.
After a decade of daily use and weekly washings, my quilt was finally showing some signs of wear and tear. Understandable, especially considering the t-​shirts date back to the mid-​90s!
Worried that my blanket might eventually fall apart, I contacted Campus Quilt about restoring it. They kept it for about a month. When I got the quilt back, the restoration far exceeded my expectations. They took apart every square, sewed it back together, and re-​quilted every stitch. It was a little pricey, but well worth it.

I heard such great things about their communication, but I didn’t have as great of an experience. They lost all of the plans I had drawn out for them, first of all. Then they lost all of the notes I taped to each shirt. One shirt didn’t even make it on the quilt, who knows where it went.

Campus quilts is by far the best company I’ve ever dealt with! The customer service is paramount and they do everything to ensure your quilt is beautiful and exactly how you want. I have a bunch of T-​shirts from my dad who passed away recently I have been reluctant to send them in because I didn’t want anything to happen to them. They stay in constant contact via email and then when they get your shirts I’ve had three calls just to make sure that my quilt will be exactly the way I want. The customer service is amazing!!! I have full confidence my quilt will be outstanding! They didn’t try to up sell me anything I didn’t need and were honest when I asked if I really did need sashing. After seeing my shirts they advised me that they would be fine without the sashing. Love love love this company!!! My quilt will be here in less than a week since they received my shirts with the nominal rush fee!

My husband LOVES his special quilt made from his running t-​shirts. I am so happy and can’t say enough good things about the Campus Quilt Company. I sent everything in a bit late, but they still got it to me by December 23^rd! I had them choose the layout, sashing and backing. It turned out perfect and looks great hanging on the wall of our exercise room.(‘had them include wall hanging sleeve) A great way to use those «old», but meaningful shirts! And, Campus Quilt Company is definitely an excellent choice to get your desired results!

I ordered a custom quilt from Campus Quilt Company about a year ago, using a bunch of my husband’s old band and punk rock t-​shirts that he didn’t wear anymore. He absolutely loved the quilt! It is really cool to have all those memories and special shirts all sewn together, to enjoy every day.
I purchased the «full size» quilt (I can’t remember how many shirts that included), and did the optional sashing between each shirt, which I definitely think is worth the extra money. This size actually fits a king sized bed.
Even though the «care instructions» that came with the quilt said to wash in cold water and hang-​dry, I wash it the same way I wash t-​shirts — in warm water, and tumble dry, and it literally keeps getting better and softer every time I wash it.

There is no cons for this company. I was super excited to get my quilt in the mail yesterday and I was very pleased with how it looked when I got it out. Turn around time was quick. It took about two weeks from the time I mailed in the shirts till I got the quilt back. I even received a phone call asking how I wanted one of the shirts cut because I would loose the logo at the top or the date at the bottom. They sent out emails at every step of the way so I knew what stage my quilt was in. I am impressed with both the quality of the quilt and the customer service I received.

I just got my quilt back from the today! Take your old t-​shirts and make them into something that will last longer and is real cool! I had a lot from all my experiences (music, drinking, college, travel abroad, etc.) and decided I just couldn’t part with them. They provide a kit with all the instructions. Once you send the shirts, it takes a few weeks to get back. The finished product is awesome! I would highly recommend them to everyone! They also make pillows!

There are really great! Great communication via email and phone. I left the quilt in their hands for the design and i couldn’t have been more happy!!! they have a great esthetic eye… so don’t worry if your not good at design… because they do a great job! The sewing was impeccable!!! While I wasn’t on a budget for this quilt– since I had been dreaming and saving for many years about this quilt — … I was really pleasantly surprised that they were very helpful in helping me save money! Most other business’s will only care about the $$… so it is so nice that they really do care about quality and budget. I would definitely work with them again!!! Thank you!

I saw an ad for Campus Quilts in a couple of running magazines as well as an insert in a recently completed run. I have dozens of race t-​shirts that I don’t wear and they take up a lot of room. Eventually I would need to throw them out, but reluctant to discard a memento, the piles of shirts would continue to spread throughout the house. A quilt is something that will last, serves as a nice reminder of the runs and takes up less space. Reading the directions in the pamphlet and the web site, I completed the order form.
The queen size quilt uses 42 t-​shirts and costs $ 370. There are options such as photo panels for $ 15, sashing which adds a 1.5″ panel between each squares for $ 126. I elected to go with the regular quilt without sashing. To get started it only requires an order form and $ 100 deposit. The company quickly emails confirmation and a few days later a kit comes in the mail so that you can design and choose how you want the shirts laid out. The customer applies a new to each shirt and returns the fabric swatch, the shirts and the order form in the large postage paid envelop. Drop that off at the UPS store and the company sends an email that it has been received within 3 – 4 days.
The balance of the $ 370 is due when the product ships. I received an email notification when the quilt was ready for shipping. To my surprise that was only 2 – 3 weeks after the shirts were dropped off at the UPS store. The following day I received another email with shipping confirmation. My quilt was in hand within 2 more days.
I was very surprised at the number of emails informing me of each step along the way, and I was surprised at the quick turnaround. When the shipment arrived, I really enjoyed the quilt. The thing I liked most about this quilt is that not only is it a unique item, but I entered and completed every one of the runs that make up the quilt. Many people want to get into running, train for it and finally achieve their goal, be it a 5K, 10K, half marathon or full marathon. This quilt is a reminder of runs I have completed. In times when life gets a little challenging and someone might feel it is difficult to overcome the obstacles and succeed, this quilt shows me 42 times that I did succeed and finish something I set out to complete.
I would definitely use this company again and I would encourage everyone who has a large collection of shirts to order one. The sizes range from small 9 shirt wee blankets up to king size quilts.
