Cardinal Kitchens provides laminated, solid-​surfaced, granite-​surfaced and quartz-​surfaced countertops. From kitchen to bath to bar, customers can blend profiles, edge styles, colors and materials. The company s Silestone is a natural, quartz-​surfaced material that is scratch-​resistant, stain-​resistant, non-​porous and never needs sealing. The spectrum of colors and the variety of edge profiles make Silestone useful with countertops in the kitchen, vanities, shower walls, tub surrounds, furniture tops, flooring, steps and fireplace surrounds. Cardinal Kitchens stocks two brands of laminate countertops including Formica and Wilsonart. All other brands are available on special order. The company serves most cities in Kentucky including Louisville, Lexington, Frankfort, Florence, Covington, Elizabethtown, Owensboro and Bowling Green. Its other service areas include Indianapolis and Evansville, Ind., as well as Dayton and Cincinnati, Ohio.

Established in 1971 Since 1971, Cardinal Kitchens and Commercial Surfaces has been providing quality countertops, offering a full range of products including quartz, granite, recycled products, solid surface and laminate surfacing as well as a full range of services. Our new polishing machine is available to area fabricators for polishing and texturing natural stone slabs.

From quoting to templating, fabrication, and installation, we offer excellence and attention to your needs. We are dedicated to meeting our customers’ quality standards and time requirements, and are known industry wide for our excellent customer service.

Operating from a large manufacturing facility (approximately 65,000 square feet) in Louisville, Kentucky, Cardinal Kitchens and Commercial Surfaces employs over 75 people using the latest technology and state-​of-​the-​art equipment.

Business Owner

While many kitchen dealers, home stores and designers know Cardinal Kitchens as the best counter top fabricator in the region, Chuck O’Koon is the man behind the brand. While supplying an array of retailers and commercial builders for more than 40 years, Chuck has built his small family business based on competitive pricing and top-​notch customer service.

In 1971, Chuck and his wife, Sarah, bought a 5-​person countertop operation and have expanded to 65,000 square feet and evolved their workforce from 5 to 75 employees — many have been with the company for over 30 years.

Cardinal Kitchens has installed countertops ranging in product from laminate to solid-​surface, quartz and granite, and most recently their brand-​new textured granite. Their projects range from airports, hospitals and college dormitories to projects as small as residential kitchens and bathrooms.
