History

Established in 1893.

Daniel Carrell was the original founder of a cleaning business in 1893 located on Market in downtown Louisville. In 1894 Daniel Carrell partnered with Mr. Rogers and so began Carrell Rogers.

In 1998, the current owners, Ken and Nancy Martin purchased the oldest flooring store in Louisville and almost immediately opened a new store location at its current residence 109 S. Hurstbourne Pkwy. That same year Ken and Nancy also purchased Sharp Flooring Galleries located at 4214 N. Preston in Shepherdsville. Finally, in 2006, both locations became members of Carpet One the largest flooring organization in North America. This alliance enables Carrell Rogers Carpet One the ability to provide local service with national buying power. This great pairing is a benefit to all consumers as they get great service, unbelievable value, with expertise inferior to none.

Meet the Business Owner

Ken M.

Business Owner

Hello! I’m Ken Martin, president of Carrell Rogers Carpet One. I’ve been in the flooring business for over 20 years and I absolutely love sharing what I know about floors with people who come through our doors everyday! It is my passion to run a business where customers leave not only with the floors they’d hoped for, but also with a new sense of family — the Carrell Rogers family! I love serving the Lord, spending time with my wife, 7 children, and 10 grandkids. I sure hope to see you soon!
