Best and most affordable smoothies that I have found in Louisville thus far! Their pizza was very delicious as well. Highly recommend!

Earth fare holds its own in my book when it comes to health food stores. Their produce section is amazing, full of fresh fruits and veggies. Their supplement section with vitamins and essential oils and whatever you can think of is fully support stocked. One of my personal favorite is their organic soap bar. Their fresh juice bar is a personal hit in my book and I love to frequent in for a kale lemonade or a red sunset. Plenty of kombuchas to choose from and every fru fru water is at your fingertips as well! They also have an amazing bakery section and hot meal section as well! Seeing it is close to my home I stop in a little more frequent than say Whole Foods or Trader Joes… it’s a little easier on the budget as well!

Great looking store. Has same stuff as whole foods with a more accessible deli space. Pricey but quality is there.

Great alternative health food store to the Whole Foods cult the nation has!
I discovered this store by getting a coupon from a Colon Run we participated in.
The store is smaller than Whole Foods and only has 25 stores (guessing) nationwide.
They have a salad bar, sandwich making area, pizza on the spot, and a deli area to have take home meals that are homemade.
They also have a rewards program-​bonus since Whole Foods doesn’t offer anything for frequent shoppers or those who are attempting to make their lives better and eat healthy. The staff is always friendly and will help you out with any needs you have.
They have a good gluten free section and offer items that other stores don’t. They alls offer some baked goods that are gluten free from different bakeries.
The store has a large cheese selection and an olive bar. They normally have samples out on a daily basis so you can try before you buy! They will let you taste a slice of cheese to see if you like it.
There is also beer available, obviously it’s more of the microbrew type. They run specials on 10% off when you buy two or more 6 packs of beer. Not to shabby…
There is a meat counter and seafood counter. The butchers are vey friendly and helpful! One eve pointed us in the direction of Kingsleys, a local butcher shop. (Best meat in town)
The meat and seafood or normally organic and grass fed, no hormones. If you sign up to receive the stores email you will get some very good coupons in your inbox once a week! They run good specials on the meat.
The store is clean, not very busy which is nice since WF is always packed.
Worth a try even if you are a WF cult member!

EarthFare is conveniently located at the Summit and has a good selection of organic foods that are competitively priced. Unfortunately, it is the worst run grocery I’ve ever been in. You can’t depend on product availability when you go, and usually you get an answer of we didn’t get our delivery especially for meat products such as bison. Often I’ve gotten the answer of I don’t know if we have any and they don’t even offer to look. The employees are generally rude and unmotivated. I’m done shopping there.

Conveniently located at the Summit. It’s comparable to Whole Foods– hot bar, salad bar, pizza, and deli. They have a kids eat free night which in nice when you only need a few grocery items and don’t want to make the trek to Kroger. Sign up for emails and the tomato bank program for instant savings. You will receive coupons and items of the week for free. Get there early because they sell out rather quickly. Everyone loves a bargain. The only negative I have is they haven’t been carrying the filet mignon on a regular basis; which was my main reason for shopping here. Earth Fare is involved in the community as well, love seeing them at events around the city.

Earth Fare is comparable to Whole Foods but slightly higher. I come here for a lunch option and not the groceries.
They have a nice salad bar, prepared foods and bakery. All of the prepared foods I’ve had are really good, but like everything else… a little pricey.

I just stopped in because I was at the Summit for an event and got there early.
I thought to myself «hmmm…sounds all healthy-like…I wonder if they have my hippie soda?» (Hippie soda being Zevia, zero calories made with stevia)
And LO! The heavens parted and angels sang! And not only do they carry my sweet, sugar-​substituted concoction of joy, but they carry ALL THE FLAVORS (instead of 2 at a time).
My happiness knows no bounds.

Had the turkey Cranberry Brie sandwich, very good.

I have a love affair with Earth Fare. I can’t remember life without this place in The Summit. The food is delicious, and I appreciate their Tomato Bank rewards program. With maybe one or two exceptions, I’ve always been really impressed with the employees, who are very friendly. I love the gals behind the prepared food counter. Only complaint is that a couple of the sandwich makers need to be better trained. Otherwise, this place is my favorite. I’m there 4 – 5 times a week. The grocery store/​market/​restaurant hyrbid is really convenient, too. I’ve been able to really improve my diet since they arrived.

I really can’t say enough good things about this store. It’s a great addition to the Summit and I sure do hope it stays. Not only is it a great grocery option, it’s a great lunch/​dinner option. They have a salad bar and a hot bar, as well as pizza, soups, sandwiches, desserts, etc. all ready to eat! The options are endless!
Sure, it cost more than Kroger but good luck finding a healthy grocery store that doesn’t (let me know if you do though!!). It’s expensive and so is cancer. However in my opinion, they make up for it with weekly deals and a point system. Go to their website and sign up for emails and the tomato bank points. Every week there is a deal… usually more than one. I have never been in this store without getting something free, having a coupon, or getting a discount due to my bank points… most of the time I get all three! Just today, the manager gave me a handful of Cliff bars to sample… why? just because I said I’ve never tried all the different types. Seriously, this wasn’t the first time either. If you tell them you’ve never tried something they won’t let you leave without. I’ve even had the cashier open a candy bar and give me half while waiting in line… again, just to try.
That leads me to another point… the customer service is outstanding. Everyone is super friendly and willing to help. It seems like they actually like being at work and you aren’t the enemy, which is very rare.
I could go on further about the list of ingredients they don’t allow or how you can bring in your «unhealthy» products to trade for one of their better options, but I will just tell you to check out the website on your own.
I’m sold on this store and I hope everyone else has the same experiences I’ve had.

This is a great option for the Whole Fooders on the east side of town. However, Earth Fare is missing some obvious things that make Whole Foods the better overall option (more robust produce, a few extra choices for normal groceries, taps for growlers!!!). The deli has some very interesting (and different) offerings in comparison to the the competition. 3.5 stars

I love this place because this is the only place within 2 miles of where I live that sells bok choy. So my review maybe bias…;-)
Do not care about their dessert made, their prime ribs are pretty good, but in general, I will not go for their food in the evening as they tend to turn gooey or as hard as a rock (especially for the rice as they keep them heated all the time).
I love their vegetables chips, though they are pricey. but love it!
I also found a lot of Indian frozen food here which I do not find elsewhere, so it’s kind of neat.
My son loves this place because it has a mini shopping cart that fits him perfectly.

A bit pricey as most organic groceries go, but I’m excited to have a grocery store that is comparable to Whole Foods nearby. They have a great selection for most things. They could have more produce though.

I love this place! It’s similar to Whole Foods but on a smaller scale. It actually has a much better selection of organic produce than Whole Foods. But overall selection of everything else is smaller. Still, I’m able to get what I need here AND save quite a bit of money. I typically spend $ 20 – 30 less than what I used to spend at Whole Foods. Parking is great. Store is clean. Steak and chicken have been very good. Oh, and the coupons! Be sure to sign up for text coupons. I’ve used a $ 10 off coupon twice in 3 weeks already! Lots of printed coupons too. This is definitely my new grocery store.

Produce looks good and you can try any of the deli items before you buy. I liked the blue cheese potato salad and the pecan cranberry chicken salad. Both are yummy! Tried the pepperoni pizza and the veggie pizza. If you like thin greasy pizza, it is good. Girl child liked it and wanted another piece. This place is a cross between Trader Joe’s and Whole Foods. Actually it is a LOT like the old Wild Oats only the chocolate chip cookies here suck.(I really miss the Wild Oats cookies!!!) I will go back again, especially because it is close and I will go sans kids so I can spend lots of time looking and comparing prices.

Earth Fare is a great addition to the food shopping options. First, there was the explosion in the number of farmer’s markets, then Trader Joe’s, and now Earth Fare. They had good produce, bulk items, brands of supplements that aren’t available on other shelves around here, a good deli and cheese area, and lots of hot, prepared foods. The entire staff was friendly and helpful. Several stopped to chat with us even though the store was very busy. There were several items to sample and the plan now is to have samples on Friday through Sunday. The kids’ meals were good and came with fresh vegetables and fruit, and water bottles to drink. Very nice change from the typical kid’s meal! I’ll go back and give it a more thorough look, but after our survey trip today, i can predict that we’ll be frequent shoppers.
