Fat Jimmy’s Douglass Loop

Showed up @ 10:30pm and the place was a mess. Menus were absolutely rancid. The server didn’t seem particularly happy that we were there. We bounced without ordering. Oh… Im not trying to be a diva or anything but they only had one 26″ flat screen… and it wasn’t even in HD!!!

Great lunch buffet for a great price! Seems like the majority of pizza buffets leave a little to be desired as to the quality of the pizza, but Fat Jimmy’s is really quite good! The pizza is great quality and they have a decent variety. The chicken bacon is REALLY good!
Worth the price, you won’t be disappointed.

Pizza buffet is decent, but does not offer much variety when I was there. The pizzas I did have were pretty tasty. The sandwiches are average. Free refills on soda makes me feel better about coming here.

Needed to get a Graeter’s ice cream fix before making a 3+ hour drive back home. The Graeter’s next to Fat Jimmy’s was, according to Unilocal,the closest one to Six Flags, so off we went.
BTW, how cool is the Unilocal app for iphone? You kept me from eating at a McDonalds or some other nameless mcfood shack. You gave me directions & everything. I heart Unilocal.
So we figured that where ever there was a Graeters, there would be food. We had 10 people, including 5 kids under 9 years old. We don’t know Louisville very well, and it turns out this location is in the Highlands area, which looked very cool. It was around 830 on a Saturday night and there were lots of people out & about. We found easy parking right in the back and saw a pizza place next to Graeter’s… what could be better?
We placed our orders (large pepp, large fresh tomato) and then went next door to get ice cream. While the pizza cooked, we devoured the ice cream (kids were ready to fall asleep, we had a limited time window here). Pizza came out quick & was delicious.
Remember, we had been at Six Flags for most of the day, so anything probably would have tasted great — but we all really enjoyed the pizza. Vibrant tomato flavor from the sauce, good snap on the cheese. Pepperoni was good but the fresh roma tomatoes were actually the highlight — that was an excellent pie.
Less than $ 40 for 2 large pies. Friendly staff. Great looking neighborhood. Next door to the best damn ice cream anywhere. What’s not to love?

We got a large pizza for several kids, and they seemed to enjoy it, which made sense since to me it tasted very simular to Chuck E Cheese pizza. If my kids were to rate it, it might get four stars, but it’s only getting two from me. I was going to get an oven baked sub, but none looked appealing to me, which is a first.

5.99 All you can eat lunch buffet Monday-​Sat.
My favorites: Chicken bacon ranch pizza & garlic bread balls (buttery with Parmesan). The sweet tea was almost perfect for my taste: fairly dark and just enough sugar.
Others in my party liked the basil covered pepperoni & the really sausagy sausage.
All-​in-​all, we ate em up yum. Where else can you stuff yourself on good pizza for $ 6?
Tip: free parking is in a lot behind the building and the antique stores.

I didn’t go here, but my husband feels so strongly that I review it. Men and their buffets, you know. «Best pizza I’ve had here, $ 7.99 for the drink and the buffet. Lots of pizzas, garlic knots were good. Very friendly atmosphere. We gotta go there. The chicken bacon ranch pizza was fricken good.»

I dropped in on Memorial Day when everywhere else was closed and was pleasantly surprised. I had a meatball sandwich. The bread was delicious, the sauce was a bit on the sweet side for me.

For a great lunch, go snag the buffet (this location only, I believe). The Chicken Bacon Ranch pizza is delicious. If you don’t see something you like, they’ll make it for ya (if you can wait). Good staff and tasty pies.
Not too crazy about the sandwiches, however.
