Beautiful hotel! Location is great downtown. Very close walking distance to 4th St Live. Everything in this hotel was clean and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and welcoming! Breakfast at the restaurant was really delicious. I had the Eggs Benedict but the breakfast burrito looked great as well.

My 5th time in Louisville and honestly don’t think much of the city, sorry. That said this hotel finally made the trip tolerable! The rooftop bar is great the restaurant is good. The service was a bit slow when it was busy but good and everyone is very nice. Rooms are clean. Don’t stay on the 7th floor below the restaurant they start moving tables around at about 5am. All in all a very pleasant stay!

The facilities are nice, but it didn’t quiet live up to my expectations of our first stay in a Hilton hotel. The majority of staff was very friendly and helpful. The one exception was the lady in guest services who I called to get a replacement bulb for my nightlight. When asked, her answer was along the lines of «maintenance is gone and I don’t know where the bulbs are». I talked her into checking to see if there was an extra one in an unused room, but after 30 minutes wait I hadn’t heard back from her so I went to sleep. *Great location– walking distance from nice restaurants and 4th Street Live. *Beautiful bathroom– nice glass shower doors and plenty roomy. *Keurig K-Cup coffee maker in the room *Less than stellar view(at least from my room)

Ok so I am now updating my review from before. This time lets talk about the hotel. The lobby is nice and the rooms are too but their housekeeping staff is crap ass. This is my second visit here for work and I WILLNOT be back. I am now on my 3rd room and have only been here one day. So let’s talk about room #1: Well when I went to go in my room, as I opened my door I heard the shower running, the bed appeared slept in and there was a persons bag on the bed; so, I would think this was CLEARLY someone else’s room On to room #2: This room had toilet issues. The toilet didn’t flush and when I tried to it only rose. Good thing there was nothing ummm ummm gross in there. So when the girl from the front desk came up she heard loud noises out my window and asked me what it was. I told her I wasn’t sure. So she got back downstairs and called me and said there was a party going on and she was going to change my room. Well here we are at room #3: And let’s just say I’m glad I’m a bit of a hotel snob, because I check my beds before getting in them. So after my much needed shower, mind you I traveled all day and had a meeting, I go to climb in the bed and low and behold there are stains on the bed sheet. Not one, not two, but three stains. So never the less here I am in room #3. So, I told you this is my 2nd visit here, well their shuttle went out the last time I was here, a month ago, and it still isn’t fixed. Now this is a business trip and there are 5 of us here that need to go to the same office at the same time for the next 3 days; so how do they plan to get us there? Well let me tell you, in a Ford Focus. Now if you are not familiar with this vehicle, it fits 4comfortable and 5 kg you have no choice. Now my problem is, Hilton is a very big chain hotel and I think big enough to at least afford a van to transport their guests around the area. So, until they fix their issues, I won’t be back to this hotel. And it’s really a shame because their restaurant 8UP is very good. I gave them 2 stars because Housekeeping is crappy and the whole shuttle situation is really bad customer service. Get it together Hilton, you are not the only game in town.

If you’re looking to stay in a Hilton but don’t want to pay the price at the Seelbach, this is a good, affordable option. With that said, here are some pros and cons: PROS + great location(not too far from 4th street live and the international convention center) + has a microwave + has a fridge + good sized room with a computer desk and sofa + the guest services manager is super sweet! I’ve ran into her a few times and to say she’s friendly is an understatement(thank you Ronda for a pleasant stay) + there’s a nightlight in the bathroom, score! CONS — no safe in room — the alarm clock is basic — there is no AUX cable to plug your iPhone, iPad or iPod into to play music or anything — no vent in the bathroom(even though it has one, but maybe it’s aesthetics?) — onsite market has basic necessities with beverages, microwavable items and snacks. It’s small, but luckily there’s a CVS a block away(before you reach 4th street live) — there is only 1 restaurant/food establishment on-site(8UP) — they don’t offer room service for breakfast so if you’re looking for something for a bite, you’ll have to go to 8UP(on the 8th floor) Note the CONS I’ve listed apply to almost all Hilton Garden Inns so it’s not particularly for this location. They have a ‘grab and go’ coffee station from 6a-10a for those busy mornings. They provide complimentary ‘noise reducing earplugs’ but for a reason. My first night was awful(Friday night)! I heard not only the club/bartop party going on all night, but there were guests running up and down the halls singing, screaming and just down right being obnoxious(minus one star). The staff is friendly for the most part, I’ve had great experiences except for one(minus one star).
