I’m just not amazed by this place what so ever. Food is nothing to go crazy over, typical bar food. I personally think there other restaurant is way better.

Only stopped by once. It’s was last night at 1:20am they had about a dozen people there. Bartender said they already called last call. I was like what time you close? She didn’t seem to know. Then me and my date tried to play pool and next thing you know manager or owner or whoever he was said they were locking up. So with around a dozen customers on a sat. Night they closed at 1:30. For some reason. You’d think the only place around in this neighborhood like that would be open until at least 2. But guess that guy had something better to do.

Ducked in to meet local legends Mark Sander and Nick«Nicky P.» Paddock and it was another fine time, here’s why: * Hooters-esque staffing * $.49 Chicken wings during 3−7P happy hours * $ 2 Domestics same time window * $.49 Skrimps same time window * Sander bought, SCORE! Love it, Cabeza OUT!

A big thank you to Hoops and to waitress Nikkia for making Terry Rupe’s celebration of life possible.

The staff is always really friendly and even when they are busy they keep up with good service. I like the Turkey BLT sandwich for lunch. Great place to watch a game. They have TV’s everywhere and there are very few bad spots to sit. Good place for a cold one and a sandwich on the way home from work.

You know that scene in the Wild West, where the stranger walks through the door of a saloon, and the piano stops playing and everybody stops talking, and everyone turns and looks at the stranger? The stranger then walks into the saloon, and everyone watches him as he walks across the floor and sits down. That literally happened to us tonight, when we walked into Hoops. I was just waiting for someone to say to me, «You’re not from around here, are ya boy?» or «You’re in my seat.» Never before have I experienced anything like it. To add to the warmest welcome I’ve ever received, the waitress acted like we were inconveniencing her in the worst kind of way. «What do you want to drink?» «I’ll have a water.» «I’ll have a diet co…» «WEHAVEPEPSI.» «Oh. That’s fine. Diet Pepsi, then.» «And I’ll have a Miller Lite.» «What do you want to eat?» «How’s the fish?» «Good.» “OK.“ Meanwhile, she is scribbling all of this down on a sugar packet(no, I’m not kidding), and making exasperated sighs every now and again. While waiting for our food, we notice that other patrons are moving around in a rather bizarre fashion. And then I realize — either these people have overactive bladders, or they are going in the bathroom over and over, so that they can do that white powder. Food comes. Waitress just plops it down in front of us and walks off. Cheers, love. Food was really tasty. Enjoyed it. I got the buffalo tenders and buffalo wings. Great flavor. REALLY enjoyed them. And THAT’S why this place gets 2 stars instead of 1. Good food. I’ve been to Hoops several times before. It’s been a while. But now I remember why I stopped going. The service is terrible, they’re trying to be Hooters(and failing miserably), and the locals act like you’re the Pale Rider when you walk in.

Good burgers and friendly people. They serve large portions so be advised. Burgers taste fresh and the wings, while not spectacular are good. Prices are average for the amount and quality of food. I will go back, just nothing worthy of more than an average to good rating.

Is this a gourmet place? No. Is this a place with an innovative menu? Heck no. Is this a great bar with friendly service and good food? Yes. Hoops is a sports bar and it lives up to its name as such. The food is good, the prices are terrific, and the beer is cold. 4 stars for Hoops being exactly what it is — a sports bar!

An awesome local sports bar. Great selection of beers, though very limited on crafts. The staff are friendly as well. Their food is great, I recommend the Arena burger.

Not impressed. Ive been here twice. The first time we had an awful waitress who kept trying to get us to leave(we were there 45 minutes during lunch and she started sweeping around us and no where else.) 2nd time was better, nicer waitress. The first time I got the chicken philly sub. It was horrible. I had a hard time eating it. The 2nd vist I only got loaded cheese fries. Would have been much better if it was not cold and the cheese was melted.

Had the blue cheese sirloin. Not bad for a sports bar. The wings were weak. The hottest they have is «hot» which isnt hot. The prices were cheap so not much was expected. The service was good. Bartender was friendly but knew nothing about beer, which is okay since they dont have an impressive selection. High def tvs everywhere so great place to watch the game.

Outside it just appears to be some cheap bar. When you walk in the door, you’ll first notice what the servers are wearing… emphasizing their curves. I guess it’s a local hooters where you can see the game. They have tons of tvs. On Sunday night, they were even playing the new walking dead episode!!! They have most basic American drafts with a couple seasonal/microbrewery options. Their pizza and chicken wings are pretty good. I loved getting a great deal on 1lb of boneless chicken wings. Nothing crazy here just good tv, cheap beer, and standard foods. If you knew your game was going to be on, this place could be great helping you not buy cable.

Good place to enjoy televised sports, plenty of tv’s. Bar food and lots of good seating. Cold drinks and the management tries to keep it clean and friendly. The service can be hit & miss.

The waitstaff is great! But this guy who was suppose to be the host/manager that night was kinda of a jerk. The bar is called Hoops so we went there specifically to watch Game 3 of eastern conference finals. Being from out of town, we thought«Hoops» would be great place to watch«hoops» and assumed it was basketball friendly. But the host refused to turn on the sound to the game even though majority of the tvs were showing the game and majority of the patrons was there for the game. He wanted to hear/watch the nascar race. He refused to recognize the voice of the customer and catered to his own wants. That’s why they get 3 stars. The staff doesn’t even care for him so can’t blame them.

A local, non chain Hooters is what this place is. Cheap prices, very good sandwiches and cold beer. And let me say the«soon to be famous chili» lived up to it’s name if you ask me. This place has plenty of room to spread out and enough TV’s to watch the game easily. I wish I had one by me!

Let me first start by saying — I am giving this four stars for what it is. It is a sports bar with cheap beer and greasy greasy food — and my fiancé and I had a great afternoon of Sunday football here! You know a good bar when you come in to watch one game and stay for a second. When you decide oh what the hell, we can get a bucket of beer for just the two of us and then get a second. It was a great time though, and all of the apps we munched on were great. We had cheese sticks, loaded cheese fries, and onion rings(over the course of 6 hours of football, ok! don’t judge us!!). Definitely stop by if you are looking for a great spot to kick back and watch a game. It is an almost perfect sports bar!

Great food with a sports bar atmosphere. A perfect place to watch you favorite teams play. The wait staff is extremely friendly and easy on the eye. The beer is cold and the food is hot. Be a winner! Go to Hoops!

only had a couple of beers while i was there but i imagine i could spending some good quality time there camped out on a bar stool eating your basic bar grub. lots of tv’s and the waitresses are worth losing half your 401(k) over!
