Specialties
At Infinite Bliss, the focus is on the kula, Sanskrit for ‘community of the heart.’ The kula is the community of your choice, your own magnetic qualities, and the way you feel at home with the company you keep. It is at the same time all the ways that you keep company with your self. Your access to the kula of you and the outside kula make life rich, meaningful, and infinitely blissful.
Many of our classes are taught in the Anusara style. Founded by John Friend in 1997, Anusara® yoga is a school of hatha yoga that uniquely blends the spirit of your heart with precise alignment principles through practices of asana, pranayama and meditation. Anusara offers a vision that is inclusive of all religious affiliations and requires only a willing heart.
The studio’s owner, Allison Terracio, is a Certified Anusara Yoga Teacher. Three other teachers are Anusara-Inspired, and several more are studying toward that designation.
History
Established in 2002.
Infinite Bliss originated on the corner of Bardstown Road and Eastern Parkway in the historic Schuster Building. For several years, the studio offered an eclectic group of teachers and styles of yoga. In 2006, Allison Terracio purchased the business and, through her study of Anusara Yoga, hosted Anusara workshops and trainings. Over the course of several years, the studio’s classes and teachers were influenced by the Anusara style. Infinite Bliss currently offers a cohesive practice throughout their schedule.
In November 2009, Infinite Bliss moved across the street, to 1507 Bardstown Road.
