History

Established in 1951.

Knotts Shoes was started in a downtown doctors’ office building by Carlton Knotts. His desire was to provide a high-​quality, comfort shoe for people all of all ages. As time has gone on, John Knotts continues the tradition of offering customers footwear that’s comfortable and fashionable as well.

John Knotts grew up working at Knotts Shoes in every role possible. By the time his father, Carlton, was ready to retire, John was aware of the mission of Knotts Shoes and prepared to carry on. John and his Knotts Shoes associates believe in absolute customer service — and several are certified pedorthists. In the day of the «big box» store and internet stores, Knotts Shoes is still a place you can go to where the sales associates learn your name and what you need or like.
