Jen Harrison, LMT Integrative Massage provides bodywork and therapeutic massage by providing clients with the highest quality therapy by reducing pain, encouraging body awareness and promoting the power of the mind-​body connection.

History

Established in 2011.

I have been a licensed massage therapist since 2011, working for a spa and then a wellness center until September of 2013. When the wellness center closed, I decided to take the leap and open my own practice. By doing so, I feel I am completely able to practice massage the way it should be, by meeting the needs of the individual client and not giving a «cookie cutter» massage.

I graduated at the top of my class in 2011 from Advanced Massage Therapeutics in Louisville, KY. My specialties include deep tissue and myofascial work along with injury work, especially shoulders and backs. I have additional certification in pre-​and perinatal massage and Reflexology.

Having a strong anatomy background helps me pin point the root of client issues, but it is not uncommon for me to place focus on the breath and include energy balancing during a typical session. In the sessions I help clients increase joint mobility through stretching, limb shaking and compression. As I tell all of my first time clients, «I have no idea what my massage feels like», so I encourage feedback from you. I am there to work WITH you, not ON you.
