My experience with this store was positive. I was greeted as soon as I walked through the door. Though the sales associate did look at me a bit quizzically (I assumed it was because I was not tethered to a child). Once I told her that I was looking for adult ballet shoes, her expression became more positive and she was quite helpful and knowledgeable about my shoe options.
Their ‘Back-​to-​school’ sale (from now until Aug. 24, 2015) brings their prices on par and even below some online ones. I recommend this store.

Friendly and knowledgeable! My daughter has been dancing for 10 years and I wouldn’t know a pointe shoe from a half sole without the ladies at this store. You can buy things cheaper online but their knowledge is priceless.

My daughter has been dancing for eight years and I am completely ignorant when it comes to dance. The staff at Kinney are friendly, knowledgeable and prompt. Yes, they are the only store in town and you can order from other stores online, but they always make sure my daughter’s shoes (jazz, tap, demi-​pointe) fit correctly. I highly recommend them!

This is the only dance shoe store in Louisville, so I have to go there for dance shoes for my daughter. Some of the staff are rude and impatient. I hate going there.
