First off, every time I come here I feel like it gets better and better! My mom is a very specific eater and we stubbed upon Lenny’s one day, I think because we had a coupon and she has since become a regular and a fan. The service is always great and the restaurant is clean and very comfortable. The Philly cheesesteak, which seems to be their staple is our favorite and we absolutely love it. The bread is fresh, the meat is cooked to preference and the chips are crunchy. Lol If you want a sub, but not subway or pen station come to Lenny’s. It’s a no frills, get full place to eat. You won’t regret

Very disappointed. The place isn’t very clean. The quality in food is not good :(. I only took two bites of my sub. My boyfriend and roommate felt sick.

Every time we come here the service is terrible. The employees don’t even know their own kids eat free policy. The food is usually ok, more expensive than subway but they do serve hot subs at Lenny’s.

Pretty alright subs. Id rather go to a gourmet sub place and get a better sub for the same price. The bread and all the ingredients weren’t very good. I wasn’t impressed and probably wouldn’t go back. The gentlemen working the front desk was very nice though.

My husband and I were in the mood for subs but we were over Jimmy Johns and Subway usually falls flat. We recently moved to a new area and Lenny’s is right next to our neighborhood Kroger. I have been passing it every week for a month and kept vowing to stop. Tonight my hunger and impatience drove me to try it :) I am SO glad that it did. The staff was very friendly and helpful for a «new-comer». They made some suggestions(although I didn’t need one after smelling the Philly Beef when I walked in the door) and I opted for a grilled Philly Sub and a cold Chicken, Bacon, Ranch sub. It was so easy to order. The menu is easy to read, the portion sizes are laid out for you at the order counter, and the smell leads your nose to follow your stomach! The Philly sub was the best Philly Cheesesteak sandwich I have had in a really long time. The meet was diced perfectly and mixed with the most amazing velvety cheese sauce. They have great free toppings and their bread is prepared daily. The only reason that I didn’t give it 5 stars was the home-made potato salad — all I could think about was the overwhelming taste of mustard and mushy potatoes. However — it definitlye won’t stop me from being a frequent visitor!

I went here today for the first time because I didn’t feel like driving further to Jason’s Deli, next time I’ll either make that drive or hop over to the Subway across the street. It was subpar, I wasn’t sure if I should get the turkey or chicken Philly, the cashier suggested the turkey and I rolled with it and a macadamia nut cookie. The cookie tasted lemony and I threw 80% of it away, if I wasn’t hungry or had another option the sandwich would’ve been tossed too. When I went to pay the cashier had cashed my ticket out to someone else. Don’t waste your time.

The food is delicious, but since this location changed ownership the service has absolutely been some of the slowest in the city. It can be better than this, but I’ve been several times in the last couple of months and the staff is always different and there seems to be little training in the areas of grilling and/or cashiering. I will keep coming in the hopes that things will ultimately change, but as of now, it’s hard to recommend.

Everything was very fresh and yummy, just the kind of cold sandwich you’re looking for when you want one. It’s what I wish subway tasted like!

great food, long wait confused service. Their French dip sandwich with pepper jelly had been my favorite since I discovered it last year. Unfortunately they are not set up to take orders and deliver food quickly. I have overlooked this failing until today. I arrived shortly before 2PM and they were experiencing an obvious breakdown in service. The assistant manager said they were short of people, then moved the order taker to the cash register, making the problem worse. An order came up in the window and they could not find the customer. The customer had ordered, paid, and then left without their sandwich due to the wait. I was twelve minutes waiting before they took my order. Ten minutes later my sandwich was brought out. Halfway thru the sandwich I discovered mustard on it. I asked the assistant manager if my sandwich was on white or wheat. He said wheat. They had taken the sandwich that sat in the window for ten minutes, changed the toppings and sent it out for me. The manager asked if he could remake it. After such questionable food handling and blatant disrespect for me as a customer I said he could not make it over or make it right. He tried to give me some dollar off coupons he had been handing out throughout the store. At that point a dollar off my next visit was more offensive than apologetic. He should have offered me a refund because the sandwich he gave me had been paid for twice. As this is the only outlet in Louisville I will never eat at or recommend Lenny’s again. Which is a shame, it is a damn fine sandwich.

I love the buffalo chicken philly sub! Its disappointing to see they cut their hours and now close at 8. My job makes it hard to get there before they close so it means a lot less trips to lennys sadly. Cant blame them not sure why but it is always very empty inside but their subs are amazing. Staff is average nothing special in the customer service department. Hope more people find them as they do make really good subs!

Really like the sandwiches at Lenny’s! Probably eat here once a week. Lenny’s is similar to Jersey Mikes but better.

Decent. The food was ok. They have fresh bread. However, there just wasn’t anything special about this Sub shop compared to others.

The food looks great and probably would have been great had they not screwed up my order. The workers had no care what they were doing at all. Not only did they mess up my sandwich, they messed up the guy behind and in front of me. How can you not get a sub right when I’m telling you one topping at a time. The hot relish is good. I don’t think I’ll be back. One star for service. Four for price.

Can’t really say enough good things about having high quality lunch meat sliced right onto your fresh baked roll. Get the pepper relish it sets off the sub just right. I will try the philly at some point. I have a hard time not getting the Italian sub every time I go

Really I have come to find that most(98%) of all of these sandwich places are more or less the same. When it comes to being a veggie! I can say they have added a «Black Bean» Burger to their menu and I did get it and it wasn’t bad, pretty good actually! The bread is also something I really judge for these«shops» and it’s pretty good with whole wheat options. Yet, not the best! If your in the area and looking for a quick bite… I would suggest it. When we did eat meat, I really like the«Philly’s» they had.(Just a note)

I love Lenny’s! Even though the first time I went I ordered a turkey sub and was given some kind of pink meat that definitely wasn’t turkey(didn’t realize this until I got home to Indiana), my next visits were much better. I adore their fresh bread,(white meat) turkey and their hot pepper sauce. I just wish there was a location closer to home.

My first dining here had me interested in going back. Sandwiches are made from fresh-sliced meat and toppings, which already puts them over that larger chain in my book. The bread seems fresh and flavorful, and they have wheat bread, which gives them a plus over other cheesesteak places. ;-) Service is good and, unless you are getting a grilled sub, sandwiches are made pretty quickly. I only wish they had more options for their cheesesteaks… peppers, mushrooms and maybe some pizza or hot sauce would be perfect!

My family loves Lenny’s. the customer service is great. We know the manager and a few employees by name because we go back so much The meat is fresh and high quality. The toppings are premium– especially the pickles and the hot pepper relish. The only thing I wish would improve are the prices. A bit much for even a high quality sub, but not enough of an issue to lose a star. Best cold subs I’ve ever had. Hot subs very good too.

The deli was clean and orderly, however our initial impression was less than favorable because the person who was taking our order asked the same question repeatedly. Then only one of our two sandwiches was made. The experience was saved by Jonathan’s attention to detail and his exemplary customer service! The sandwiches were very good, with more than either of us could finish. We chose the Philly Cheese Steak and the Italian Sub. Both had a generous portion of meat and the pepper relish was a nice complement. We will return again!
