Louisville Ballet

Simply the best performing arts group in Louisville! Ballet is an acquired taste for some but the Louisville ballet does a wonderful job by showing everything from traditional to contemporary.
Aside from their wonderful productions such as Nutcracker and others. Every year they have a Choreographer’s Showcase, where the dancers of the company create new and exciting variations and brand new dances. The tickets are only $ 20 and you get to watch this at their downtown studio in their studio they practice in everyday. It’s an upclose and personal experience that is quite amazing. You see the sweat beading off the dancers brow and a close look at the amazing costumes. Coming from a ballet dancer, this is the best way to view ballet. Being able to see and hear the pointe shoes hit the floor is ideal.
I do suggest everyone to see this plus all their other productions throughout their season.
