Spinach artichoke dip was awesome, Mac n cheese was pretty good, fries were bad, a soda costs over $ 3…tad pricey. Had a 30 minute wait somehow at 2pm. My waiter decided that my 20% tip wasn’t good enough so he changed it to 40%. Called to inform the manager and somehow«my receipt wasn’t there» and their solution was to refund me $ 5 because that was my original tip(which my waiter changed to $ 10). Laughable really. Won’t return.

The service of this restaurant is horrible. Greeted by a man who apparently didn’t have any energy to mop up some water. To find a waitress who not only was slow when she only had a few tables, but wasn’t the nicest when ordering. Also this restaurant has a Ruben on the menu without corn beef & sauerkraut — apparently the don’t know what a Ruben is. Some how this place can’t even make a salad right. The lettuce(field greens) tasted wilted and there were two tomatoes– 1 cut in half &1 not(kinda weird to me). I wouldn’t recommend and definitely won’t be back.

We used to have Sunday breakfast there but unfortunately the quality of the food has gone downhill. The servers are great but the last few times my meal has been disappointing. Once I sent back my plate because the eggs and bacon were way under cooked. The waffles and muffins are still OK but it’s not worth going just for that. First Watch down the road is sooo much better if you’re wanting a great breakfast or brunch!

Over 1 hour wait(told 20 minutes), and then 1.30 hrs for food. Food ok, not good. With a very limited Mothers Day menu it should have been so much better. I felt sorry for the wait staff. For a chain restaurant what a disappointment…

I loved the lemon poppyseed pancakes – they would be ho hum alone, but with the orange zest and fresh rhubarb butter, these cakes are divine. Service was friendly, prompt, and my coffee cup was never empty. Short visit with business focus, so not much else to report this time around.

The food was not very good and the service was barely adequate. Will not return. Too many good restaurants to waste your money here.

Usually good service and food, today definitely not so. First server VERY slow with drink refills. Plus asked if I wanted muffin first or meal. First was said with meal is how it was served. Server said they were sorry but forgot because she was so busy. Next came the food. Ordered the ham and cheese omelet and apparently they must have left the egg stay in the frying pan for a enormously long. Of time. I have never seen eggs come out that were Brown no hint of yellow. Needless to say the flavor was lacking tremendously. May be awhile before I go back and check them out again.

First time here and I’ve heard nothing but good reviews. Service was great and so was the atmosphere. Our waitress was very nice and very attentive. We order the spinach dip as an appetizer. It was pretty good and the chips came out hot(fresh). I ordered the parmesan chicken that came with linguini and my fiancé ordered the Atlantic salmon. My linguini was cold and the chicken was just okay. My fiancé said his salmon was good but not the best he’s ever had. Our total came to $ 48.06 which included a Coke and tea. The waitress offered us two free muffins to go which I thought was pretty cool! They were big muffins too and they tasted delicious! I would go again but order something different. I’ve been told their chicken cordon bleu is good.

If you’re looking for a little New Orleans ambiance, Mimi’s is the place to go! It seems to attract an older crowd, but I really enjoy the food. Our server was wonderful– extremely attentive, friendly, and ready with a refill before I even knew that I needed one. Our breakfast(French toast and waffles) was fantastic. My only complaint is the price. It was $ 11 for just French toast, no sides.

Delicious. I had the salmon eggs Benedict and a Mimi-mosa. It was delicious. Server was decent, but not overly friendly. There were sooo many menu options that it was difficult to decide what to order. My husband got the ham & Swiss crepes, which he devoured. The breakfast potatoes were pretty good too. Overall good experience.

The atmosphere of this place is great. It’s very lively but relaxing. The menu is remarkably large and everything is good! The muffins are amazing!!! My only reason for giving 4 stars is that the food took a while to come out. This place is great for breakfast and lunch.

Honestly this is a difficult review to write. I ate here last Saturday evening. My party and I had a very young server who didn’t seem up to the challenge. I ordered the pot roast dinner. What I got was a large dinner plate with two chunks of well cooked and seasoned beef with a bit of thick juice. Next to that several pieces of steamed broccoli. That was it. No carrots. No onions. This was not pot roast. My side was potatoes gratin. Which was a nice square of scalloped potatoes. Delicious. A carrot muffin was delicious. Deviled eggs delicious. Spinach and cheese dip was good. The side salad was bad. A waste of money. My friends’ entrees were satisfactory. But we had to beg for silverware and napkins. I sensed the server was not pleased with US. Well we felt likewise. A manager came to check on us. My advice is if you eat here be careful what you order and ask questions.

This review is based on my recent visit on Friday evening. My husband and I had been in downtown Louisville for a religious event and had not eaten dinner so decided to stop at Mimi’s on our way home. It was 9:15 when we walked in the door. The host sat us in the section behind the bar. This section had a group of women there for a wine and painting party! Why would he sit us here?! Loud music, instructions being given by microphone to the group and of course loud conversations. We Aptos have walked out! But I was so hungry. The food didn’t get served to us till 10 pm! My French onion soup was barely warm. Couldn’t eat the cheese on top because it was so cold! Then my burger was served. The mushroom brie burger looked like it had been put on my plate in a hurry. The mushroom were scattered across the plate. The mushrooms were cold, and the burger warm. As if it had been sitting for awhile before coming to me! Needless to say, I quickly lost my appetite! When the bartender finally returned(he was our server), I did explain why I had only eaten half of my burger. He did get the manager and I explained all of the problems I had with Mimi’s that night. The manager apologized and offered to credit my meal. Which I allowed. Needless to say, we won’t be dining at Mimi’s for awhile! Note that my husband and I have previously ate at Mimi’s for breakfast and lunch and have always been completely satisfied with the food and service.

Arrived Sunday at 1p. Because We had an estimated 25 min wait, we decided to sit at the bar. Then, because we were the only ones sitting there, the bartender offered to serve us food. Yeah! No long wait. I ordered the lemon poppy seed griddle cakes with a side of scrambled eggs and turkey sausage. I even tried the mixed berry mimosa. Normally, I do not enjoy mimosas because I do not like Champagne(yeah, I know it’s horrible). But this mimosa had a different, really smooth taste. It’s sweetness(though it was not too sweet) minimized the bubbliness of the champagne so that I could actually enjoy the flavor of the«house-special» Mixed-Berry Mimosa. The food, the drink, the atmosphere, the service… Everything was wonderful… as always. Mimi’s never disappoints.

I’m honestly torn between giving Mimi’s 2 or 3 stars. Our waiter was really friendly and funny, though so I’m going to go ahead and give them 3 stars. My family and some friends came here after church on Sunday. We actually didn’t have a wait which shocked me a bit! As I said above, our server was really friendly and quite a character! I chose the smoked salmon omelette with sourdough toast as my entrée. I wasn’t really impressed. There was very little salmon and very few capers in the omelette — it definitely wasn’t worth the $ 12.99 price point. I doubt we’ll be back to Mimi’s because there are too many other great places to eat in this city!

Wow, I never give 2 stars, but Mimi’s has earned it. From dry, tasteless sandwiches to lifeless omelet plates, I’ll actively not return. We have eaten at Mimi’s twice in the past year as a group and I normally go along with the restaurant selection, but I’ll argue against them in the future!

I’ve been to Mimi’s several times for lunch. Granted, I’ve had the same dish every time, so this is basically a review of one dish. Mimi’s is a chain specializing in Americanized French food. Their menu features a few«French» items like crepes, quiche, frites, brie. However, the majority of their menu is typical American food. This is not a French restaurant, just«French-inspired.» Every time I’ve dined here for lunch, I’ve chosen the Five Cheese Grilled Cheese with Tomato Basil soup. Their lunch combos are served with either fries or fruit; I always get fries. It’s just so good that I don’t risk trying something new. The grilled cheese is full of delicious gooey cheese, and grilled on amazing bread. The bread has cheese baked onto it. This bread is served with several other sandwiches as well. The bread really takes the grilled cheese to the next level. The sandwich is excellent dipped in the tomato basil soup, with is flavorful and creamy. And to top it off, the fries are great. Skin-on, well seasoned and crispy; some of my favorite fries. I have no complaints with this dish, and will probably continue to order it on the rare occasion that I’m at Mimi’s. Despite repeatedly trying only one menu item, the rest of the menu does sound delectable. If I frequented here often enough, I would venture to a new dish.

I can’t say enough good things about this place and it was only my FIRST visit. You know that feeling when you walk into a place and immediately know you want to come back? This was it! They offer a variety of breakfast options that look as good as they taste. This time I opted for«The Grande Treatment» which offered something familiar with three buttermilk pancakes, three eggs, choice of breakfast meat, and a side of fruit. My breakfast date opted for the Salmon Benedict which she said tasted great. You’d think it’d be something closer to the run of the mill with this type of breakfast but they«kicked it up a notch» as Emeril Lagasse would say by offering hearty sausage links, scrambled eggs cooked to perfection, and pancakes SO good I had to pause and consider if they’d just beaten my Mom for best pancakes ever(they did but don’t tell her). The service was excellent with me and the waiter exchanging banter in fake French accents throughout the ordering process which made the experience that much better. Also, before I make it halfway through my drink it was already topped off and that’s a rare service these days. In the end, we received two free muffins with it being our first time to cap off a great breakfast experience. Like I said in the beginning, you know that feeling when…

I had high expectations for Mimi’s based on the effervescent adulation it received from my mom. Unlike me, she never gushes over restaurants. Within the first five minutes, my hopes were dashed. We arrived for dinner on a Wednesday night around 5:30 and were immediately seated in the main dining room. It was only half full, but the waitstaff, as a unit, seemed out of sorts. Our server was in training, but very amiable. My main disappointment came with the menu. I hadn’t looked online prior and was shocked to find only one, vegetarian entrée on the entire menu. It’s 2015 for goodness sakes! Granted, there are a few appetizers that I could have cobbled together with some unhealthy side dishes or a small, house salad. However, I was hungry and am a foodie. I was thankful for the fresh bread basket to start off! I opted for the one dish, quiche florentine($ 9.69 or so), which came with a side salad and muffin. I chose a soy sesame vinaigrette and the seasonal, brown sugar-blackberry muffin. The individual quiche with spinach, tomato, and cheese was adequate, but reminiscent of a frozen product or hotel banquet food. Same goes for the green salad with cucumber and croutons. I took the muffin home for breakfast the following day. It was large, moist, and filled with berries. Best part of the meal by far! Our table was directly across from the drink station at the entrance of the kitchen. After a long work day, we got to eat our meal while listening to a couple of loud servers and kitchen staffers yell(topics not so appropriate for work) amongst themselves. We couldn’t wait to get out and into the peaceful interior of our car. Mediocre, faux French food at higher, chain prices served in a boisterous atmosphere, no thanks. Even my mom, the Mimi’s champion, said the menu changes were not for the better and the bakery goods weren’t enough to draw her back soon.
