Come on guys, Moby Dick deserves a better rating than this. Sure, some of their sides are crap. Sure, they do give you the lowest quality slices of bread possible. Sure, it would be nice if they offered more non-fried options. All of that is true, but their main offering, the reason to come here, their fried fish, is really quite good. The fish here far exceeds the expected quality you would get from a fast food restaurant.

Everything is breaded. I had the whale sandwich… all it was the two slices of thin saggy white bread and lots of breaded fish. Nothing else! Spent over $ 25 for 2 adult and kids meal. Not worth the money.

Came in to get some fried seafood. Not sure they quite got it. Fish was OK. Oysters were all breading and almost no meat. No cocktail sauce or vinegar available. Not sure I would give a second try.

We had an 82.00 order all but 2 pieces were burnt after we called in they said we had to drive all the way back out there to get it replaced. Did not be live we could not eat burnt food and the manager on duty said she had cooked the order herself when she knew she had not. Would not replace or refund unless we brought the food back. My husband even talk to the main manager he said if we brought thee food in the next morning he would be there. We bagged it up and went the next morning the main manager left and the responsibility to the manager on duty, we did get the refund but they are so rude. Third policy is you have to ring the food back to get a refund, even if you have to drive 20 minutes there and 20 minutes back. Ridiculous. No Customer Service

This should be 3.5 but since I love their fish I’ll give them the round-up. For«fast-food» fish they are pricey. However, the fish is fantastic, the shrimp is ok but you can tell they are previously frozen. The staff is friendly and this location is always clean.

We like the shrimp dinner(its fried shrimp) but at this particular location you get about six medium shrimp in the dinner. Not worth the $ 10. The tarter sauce saves the day, but even though this Moby Dick’s is the closest to my house, I go to other locations. My daughter and I are usually the youngest in the restaurant – me often by 20 years. Seems to be quite popular with retirees.

Everything here is deep-fried…except for the cole slaw and macaroni and cheese. BUT if that’s what you’re going for and you’re in the mood for a caloric splurge, my food was hot and freshly cooked. The fish fillets are hand-breaded in a cracker-meal breading, and they come from a fridge not a freezer(you can see into the kitchen from the ordering counter). The fries were good… nice potato flavor, they weren’t the coated ones(BK and Arby’s serve coated fries). After you order, your food is brought out to you at your table. Choices include fried fish, fried oysters, fried shrimp, fried clams, and bratwurst. The«Whale» is a sandwich with 2 pieces of fish while my order, the«First Mate» had one piece of fish. The bread was the cheapest square slices imaginable, you can choose white or rye. I didn’t eat the bread because I had fries… enough carbs for one meal! There were quite a few people eating here when I stopped by(11:30am), and the board of health grade of A was displayed in the window.
