unfortunately, i had a completely different experience as shana k. When walking in, i was greeted by a young man who assisted me in the pedicure bowl. I was the only one there, but he was going so fast as if he was in the biggest hurry to get done. My nails weren’t filed evenly, and there are paint bits on my skin. I should have done it at home. but oh well, i wanted to be pampered a little. :) Before he finished, I went ahead and decided to try the shellac manicure there. During the manicure, two other women came in for pedicures and he was still the only one there(his help was at lunch). While trimming my cuticles he nicks my pinky(since he was flying through it) He then would start one of the ladies pedicure then come back to apply another coat of polish for me. Normally this is not a big deal, they juggle customers all the time; but instead of going to his seat across from me and sitting down, applying the polish. he stood next to me and i had to hand my hands to him while he quickly applied another layer. It was such a huge disappointment, and not worth the $ 56 + $ 6 tip. i’m definitely feeling the buyers remorse :(If you still decide to go, i hope you have a better experience. I gave two stars, only because he was nice. maybe if you’re in a hurry, this would be ok for a quick fix, but if you’re wanting/needing a little pampering and nice looking nails afterwards, go somewhere else.

This nail salon is located on the second floor of Oxymoor Mall near the food court. I stopped in to get shellac removed from my nails and a regular manicure to tie me over until I could get an appointment with my regular shellac manicurist. I was greeted warmly by two young women who sat me down in a comfortable chair and went to work on my nails. One of the women appeared to be training the other on how to do nails. The woman who was doing the training was extremely friendly and she and I had an excellent conversation while they were doing my nails. They did a good job with the cutting, filing, and shaping of my nails. The shop has a huge selection of nailpolish colors. They also have a drying table that uses fans and UV lights to ensure that your nails are fully dry before you leave the salon. I suspect this salon is losing business because there is a much bigger nail salon that is closer to the enterance of Oxymoor Mall but I would recommend making the walk up to this smaller salon and letting these ladies go to work on your nails.
