Go on Thursday. Two for one. Great food sweet people. I was a first timer and treated like I had been going there for years. I would recommend to anyone to stop in. Family friendly too. Staff great! Prices perfect. Get the wings!

This was my first time here. Great atmosphere, and a ton of flat screen TV’s. Service was descent. They have a good menu with a wide variety. I had two chili cheese dogs with fries. I thought they were delicious, but they would have been outstanding if the chili was hot. It arrived Luke warm, and I should have sent it back, but tolerated it. Fries were great. Again, it’s a great spot, and I’ll be back. If you do come to watch a game bring your jacket. It was so cold in there you could hang meat. Definitely give it a shot you’ll be glad you did.

My problem with this place is that it is a sports bar but they wouldn’t turn the sound on to the game we were watching or any game instead they played club dance music. We were told that once the dinning room cleared out they might turn the sound on, there were 4 tables in the dining room. The bartender was nice and that is the only reason I gave them 2 stars. The food looked ok and they have an extensive menu but we left at halftime so we didn’t eat. If your a sports bar then you should be able to watch sports with sound. We probably won’t go back.

My friend and I loved this place. Such a great example of not judging a book by its cover. If not for someone suggesting this place, I would have never came here. Not a huge fan of «bar» style food and it’s not in the best area of town but wow — the food was superb. My friend got shrimp pasta. Shrimp was delicious and cooked perfectly — great seasoning. The pasta and Alfredo sauce were some of the best I’ve ever tasted. At first I was mad I didn’t get the pasta because it was so great. Then I got my pepperoni calzone and I was floored. So tasty! The crust couldn’t have been better. Never ever would have expected this to turn into one of my favorite eats in Louisville. Great selection on beer too: D

This is such a cool new sports bar with a full menu right next to Jim Patterson Stadium– home of the Cardinal baseball team. After the U of L baseball game Friday night, my husband and I decided we wanted an appetizer and cocktail on a patio somewhere to celebrate the Cardinals victory. We looked across the street and saw Overtime was open and had an inviting patio– so we went for it. They had a ton of drink specials– including 2 for 1 wine! I had double house chardonnay’s for $ 6. I am not normally a huge chardonnay fan– but their’s was pretty good. The patio had nice high-top tables with umbrella’s. The inside area was very nice with a ton of TV’s and large bar. The menu was diverse– salads, sandwiches, wings, pizza. We decided on the BBQ chicken pizza. We were given the option of hand-tossed or thin and crispy crust and we went with the thin crust. It was very tasty! The BBQ sauce was just the right amount of spicy and the crust was light and crisp. Our server was a little on the rude side but took care of our order and check timely. She was young and seemed new to waiting tables, so maybe she just doesn’t understand that a smile goes a long way. We look forward to going back to watch football in the fall. I hope they will have Sunday ticket!

Good draft selection. 24 beers on tap. Plenty of tv’s for any sports games. Unfortunately the service usually sucks. A number of times I have sat down at the bar and waited 10 mins. before even being acknowledged.

OK. I hate to update this review and take a star away but our experience here last night really warrants it. My boyfriend and I met a couple of friends up here on a gorgeous Wednesday evening to take advantage of their sunny patio. We were greeted fairly promptly and shown to a seat outside and our drink orders were immediately taken. Unfortunately, it was all downhill from there. Our draft beer took entirely too long to come out to our table — about 12 minutes on average, despite the fact that there were only about 10 tables in the restaurant. Our server was clearly new and she had no guidance whatsoever. In fact, my friend who is a server, saw her carrying a tray of drinks incorrectly and they were about to topple over so she showed her how to carry a tray. This shows a serious lack of training and a serious lack of management. My boyfriend and I got the $.50 boneless wings as an appetizer and while they were good, they were nothing special. I chose the chicken salad sandwich and fries as my entrée and the bread that it came on was buttered and greasy, which contrasted terribly with the light flavor of the chicken salad. With all of the service issues, our dinner turned into a 2.5 hour experience. I may return for drinks but definitely not for the food. I hope that this place can get it together because it’s a wonderful location!

I went to Overtime… and lost at the buzzer! This place is a typical sports bar/pub where the waitresses all wear tight volleyball shorts and referee shirts to try and entice the boys! The only problem is that the food doesn’t stack up. Its fairly mediocre bar food and is the same type of stuff you can find at most sports related restaurants. The positives are that there are a ton of TVs, 42 to be exact. So you can basically watch every sporting event that’s on that day/night at the same time. Also, their beer selection is pretty good and they have a lot of good deals. They choose a beer of the month and sell it for 2.25 for 16 ounces. They also have happy hour domestics till 7pm through the weekdays.

I’ve been looking forward to trying this place since it opened. I love good bar food and this is close to my house so I was hoping to be impressed. Overall I did like the food quite a bit but the service was lacking. I met a group for lunch on a Friday and though there was a decent number of people there they weren’t particularly crowded. We had a few kids in our group so we really appreciated the free game tablets they brought them to use! Big bonus points! The menu is good sized and there was even a very reasonably priced lunch menu. I selected the sliders. The menu described three sliders on pretzel buns. One angus beef, one bbq pork and cole slaw, and one fried chicken finger. When they arrived however I was disappointed to see that I had gotten three burgers instead of the three different sliders. It took me a few minutes to track down our server since she hadn’t delivered our food and she seemed very confused when I explained my problem. Then after she actually read the menu description for herself she realized that she had entered the order incorrectly. She said it was because she was new and not familiar with the menu yet which may be true but after reading a very similar account of a server in another review from a few months before this I have to wonder if it could be the same person. She also never really explained what was being done to fix the mix up. I was assuming I was getting new food but I didn’t really know. I did end up getting a whole new meal(just the two missing sliders would have been fine) so I can’t complain but she just didn’t seem to have a clue what she was doing. I also had to flag her down for a straw and another person in our group had to look for her again to get the check since she had to get back to work. Everyone really liked the food they had though and it’s definitely worth another trip. I just hope that our server gets a bit more familiar with the menu in case she takes care of us again!

I had the salmon and my Dad the BBQ chicken. Our meals were amazing and the service was great and fast. Only gave 3 stars because of the noise level. I love a live band and I bar tend so I’m use to being in noisy venues. However at 6:30 I want to have dinner conversation without yelling across the table.

I only gave Overtime Sports Bar and Grill 3 stars BUT I do plan on visiting again. It doesn’t have anything stellar but it delivers on what the menu says! The food is slightly greasy, a lot of american cheese slices, fried goodness, and cold beer. They do have a WIDE variety of food to choose from — calzones and pizzas, hot and cold sandwiches, pastas, soups, salads, nachos, and more. It may not be gourmet but it delivers on bar food. They also have a ton of tv’s, great drink specials for the games, and it’s relatively new so it’s never full! If you want a place to kick back and watch a ballgame or drink for cheap — this place is for you!

Like! Finally tried it after driving by it for several months. Met a friend for a couple of drinks and dinner. It was easily accessible put is right beside a small car lot so the parking situation may confuse some. They weren’t very busy but it was mid-week. Roomy on the inside with plenty of televisions. We tried and liked their special Cardinal cooler. The breaded mushrooms seemed to be hand breaded and came with some yummy sauce. They reminded me of Outback shrooms. Big portion of these! We stuck to the appetizer menu and added queso/chips and grilled shrimp. The queso was tasty but not extra ordinary. The grilled shrimp were a good size and perfectly grilled and brushed with a garlic butter and served on a ½ toasted garlic butter hoagie bun. Our food and 4 cocktails came to $ 42 which I felt reasonable due to portions and quality. Our waitress was admittedly a new employee of 2 wks so she wasn’t very familar with the menu but she was friendly and checked on us a lot so she got a good tip. I will definitely be back with my boyfriend or anyone else who wants to come along. This would be an awesome place to meet up with a group of friends to watch a game. They have a diverse menu sure to please most people.

Went today for lunch for the second time to eat which doesn’t include a time for watching football games on Sunday. Had a great burger and fries for lunch special and added on potato soup for $ 1. The guy who met me for lunch had the same thing both of us left full and pleased. check before tip was under 20 bucks and we both bought softdrinks too. Was fairly empty hopefully that is only because school is out. It’s a good place to try around campus and better than typical pub food.

Relatively new place between 2nd&3rd on Central. I counted 30TV’s(2 face the patio for smokers) and 4 keno screens. There can be no way that you wouldn’t be able to see whatever you wanted to see. Food was surprisingly good — not sure how much of it is made in-house and how much of it is frozen or microwaved from Sam’s. The chimichanga plate was good. I’ll go again and probably try the Stromboli or Meatball sub. Table next to us had pizza & it looked pretty good. Also, they have Texas Hold’em tournaments @ 4&7 on Sundays

This a relatively new sports bar by the UofL campus. There is a lot of local sports memorabilia and many of their food and drink items reference local sports. Went and watched a Cardinals ball game with friends and had a blast. We ordered a pizza which was great, and they have a great beer selection. The staff is very friendly as well. Definitely will be visiting again.
