Pro-Tint

Beware of false advertising on the prices. The management is absolutely horrible. I also know from an employee at Pro Tint that they have people that they know to write favorable reviews. The owner and manager of this place DO NOT have your best interest in mind or satisfying the customer — only the money of the customer.

I had a great experience. I worked with Dave. He got me in and out quickly for window tint. I plan on using them for future work.

Was very satisfied with pro-​tint when getting a stereo installed. When I went to pick up my car, the stereo didn’t even work correctly. It was so obvious. The pro-​tint staff didnt even take the time to make sure it was installed correctly, pretty much just slapped it in since they were in a hurry. I now have to drive 30 minutes back to have them fix it on Christmas Eve.

I am from California and I was recently out in Louisville, KY visiting my Brother for his birthday. Now in California its all about your ride, and everyone has tinted windows. As a present to my Brother I wanted to get his truck windows tinted. I knew he would be thrilled but I also know how picky he is as his truck is his baby. So I decided to give Pro-​Tint a try after googling and reading the wonderful Unilocal reviews. I was not disappointed at all. They were fast, friendly, and reasonably priced. When my Brother saw his Truck, he was extremely happy! He didn’t have one complaint (which is very rare)! Thank you Pro-​Tint for doing such a great job, and allowing me to impress my brother and give him the best gift for his Birthday. I Highly recommend Pro-​Tint! You cant go wrong with these guys!

I’m am a frequent customer of pro tint of Louisville on Preston hwy, and from the first day of service to current I have no complaints of the exclusive services they have to offer. New wheels, tint, along with customized upgrades that I have brought in have been installed with no problem. Thanks to the guys of Pro Tint!

First of all I want to thank the guys at pro tint. I was driving through after a 9 month deployment and the last thing I needed was a flat. They were quick and courteous. If I only lived closer this would be my go to for tires. LOVE YOU GUYS!

Woke up this morning to 2″ of snow and a flat tire. Called my car dealership and they weren’t able to get me a tire until the end of the week. Called Pro Tint and worked with a guy named Josh who provided excellent customer service and was able to coordinate a tire for me the same day. He told me to come up and his team could replace my tire upon arrival. I arrived with my 1 year old son, thinking we would be there for a few hours. Was in and out in less than 30 minutes! Will definitely be a long term customer.

I’ve been having my care customized for years through different shops. A few years back I’ve found Pro Tint and have never gone anywhere else again. Josh has always taken care of pricing and workmanship no matter I was having installed whether it was remote start, custom wheels, lift kit, sound system or even an alarm. I would recommend giving them a shot.

I have been going to ProTint for years and have always gotten great service from Josh. If you need window tint, remote start, alarms, wheels, etc. No one will beat their prices. Go check them out!!!

If this review was based on actual work done, I’d give them 5 stars. However. I am giving two stars for the ride ass people and complete lack of giving a shit. JOSH has got to be the most arrogant, bad attitude having, know it all salesman in the world. I proved him wrong on two occasions while I was speaking to him about wheels. All, mind you, while he was staring at his phone and not really giving a shit about the money I was willing to spend. I’ll never go back. Fuck JOSH MELTON. If you do go here, stay away from him or punch him in the face

STAY AWAY FROM THEM! My experience with ProTint was awful. I live out of state and the car dealer took my car to have it tinted. I asked for the darkest legal limit and they said 20 would be fine. I flew in to Louisville, signed the paperwork at the dealer for the car, and got on the road for my long trip back home. I noticed the tint seemed dark, but I figured that it was because it was on a white car.
Over the next several days, I noticed the tint appeared to get darker and darker as it dried. The tint was so dark that I could not even see into the car in the middle of the day. I had to roll my windows down at night just to see where I was going. After a week or so, I decided to go by a local tint shop to have the tint read because the darkness was ridiculous. I went to the local 3M tint shop to have it read and I found out they put 5 on all of the windows in the car!!! That is highly illegal (it is so black it is classified as limo tint). I reached out to Josh a ProTint to fix this huge mistake. I could not just take the car back to ProTint since I was three states away so he agreed to pay to have the tint stripped and re-​tinted at a local shop in my state. I made an appointment to take it in a couple weeks in the future.
When I arrived, the tint shop said that Josh never approved that and that I would have to pay nearly $ 400 to have the wrong tint stripped and re-​tinted; this was in addition to the hundreds of dollars I had already paid to have it done the first time! I spoke with the dealer I bought the car from and Josh at ProTint. The dealer made no accommodation to fix this mistake and Josh at ProTint made ridiculous claims and made me look like a fool like I was making this whole situation up. Josh even claimed that they didn’t even sell limo tint so he had no idea how it got on my windows; how ridiculous! He made some attempt to make it right, but the deal was still going to net me paying an additional $ 200! I had to pay almost $ 400 more to get this disaster tint job fixed!
This shop is completely unprofessional and made a huge mistake. The worst part about this whole situation is that THEY were the ones that put the wrong tint on my brand new car and they would not even own the mistake and make it right! I could not even enjoy my brand new car because they ruined it. I had to literally fight with them for over an hour on the phone while I was in the tint shop in my state. This is by far the WORST customer service I have ever experienced! Please DO NOT give this horrible place your business; go elsewhere. I wish I could give 0 stars because they don’t even deserve the minimum of 1 star I had to give them.

I wanted to tint my gf’s windows on her car for her birthday. i decided to go with pro tint after they said they would honor a competitors price. I was also told i would receive a phone call when it was complete. NEITHER happened… i decided to drive up there at 545 because they close at 6, the car was done and sitting in their parking lot. To my surprise they actually didnt honor the competitors price because they didnt even put a strip on the front windshield, and wanted to charge me 15 more dollars after he told me he would match the price in the first place!!! really!!! how many people tint your windows and the front strip is not included, 1! Pro Tint!!! Beware of the schemers that work there, Silver tongue suckas!!! I will NEVER associate business with this company again, neither will anyone who ever brings up tint, rims, tires etc. around me!!!

Good: Solid tinted product and/​or application. Two vehicles in my lifetime have been tinted at this facility. For both, the live of the tint lasted about ten years before starting to peel, fade, bubble, etc. IMO, this is excellent and I feel that is a decent life span.
Bad: Once the tinting did start to give up its life on my first vehicle, I wanted to take advantage of the lifetime warranty they advertised. I still had a warranty card and my original receipt after ten years. They told me they had new owners and they did not honor the old warranty. So, I did not have my windows re-​tinted as the vehicle was older and I suspected I may not have it for much longer. When I got a new vehicle, I had my windows tinted there again because, in the end, I thought the product was good. Once again, a lifetime warranty was advertised. And once again, after ten years, I returned with peeling tint and wanted to take advantage of the warranty. And also, once again, I was told they had new owners and did not honor the old warranty. Crazy.
The tinting product/​service deserves five stars, because it’s a good product. However, I am deducted two stars for the warranty issue. Personally, I doubt I will return because I feel it is false advertising (x2). So, don’t be afraid to go here, but if a lifetime warranty is advertised, just assume it doesn’t exist. I’m sure the assumption is that no one is going to keep a car that long.
