3 days into waiting for my tax advance! It’s only supposed to be 24hrs. I was approved Friday! I can’t understand why and my tax preparer doesn’t seem to care! My refund is payment for my hard work. It’s mine. I really would like to have it.

This bank did not respond to my request to received the funds from a large CD that matured. They claimed that they sent me a form, but I never received it. A while later, when I realized I had never received this form, I called. They explained that they had stopped paying interest on this large CD. They then asked for a letter with a copy of my driver’s license and other many security details. Then a few days later their representative left a message saying he had to ask more questions before the bank could send me the proceeds from my CD. I called back, waiting over 20 minutes for someone to come on the line and then the representative grilled me with more security questions, some of which asked me to recall details from over 20 years ago. When I passed this next test, they said that they were charging me for issuing a certified check. I complained that I hadn’t asked for a certified check, but Sean the representative told me that it was «bank policy» and he could do nothing about this.
The check arrived on a Friday afternoon before a three-​day holiday weekend, so I’d loose additional interest. The letter that accompanied the check was dated several days before they sent the check and my name was misspelled on the check.
It appears that this bank does everything it can to avoid paying interest on deposited money and postponing as long as possible, paying back the proceeds of a CD.
