History

Established in 1997.

In August of 1997, St. Michael Catholic School opened with two kindergartens and one first grade with an enrollment of 59 students. Classes were held in the parish Family Life Center while the school was being built. In August, 1998, the Lifelong Learning Center was ready for occupancy. Two kindergartens, two first grades, one second grade, and a pre-​school (3 and 4 year olds) moved into the school. Each year, through 2005, one grade was added to complete the occupancy of two of each grade, K — 8. During the 2007 — 2008 school year, pre-​registration indicated that the addition of a third kindergarten was necessary for the upcoming year. 460 students enrolled for the 2008 — 2009 school year and a third class for each grade was begun. Enrollment has remained steady, and the school will occupy all of its space with the beginning of the 2016 — 2017 school year.
