History

Established in 2015.

SnoWhat became a dream of ours in 2010 after Jessica moved back to Louisville from Mississippi, just outside of New Orleans. Discovering this sweet treat while living in the deep south, Jessica knew that she had to get them in the hands of the people of Louisville and who better to start a business with than your best friend? For 5 long years we worked towards making SnoWhat come to fruition and finally, in April of 2015, we sold our first snoball! Wanting to set ourselves apart from the resurgence of shaved ice stands, we opted to make our own syrups – free of high fructose corn syrup, artificial colors or ingredients. But don’t worry – we still have several of the classic flavors you’re used to (Tigers Blood, anyone?) available too!

Meet the Business Owner

Jess and April B.

Business Owner

Jessica was born and raised in a small town in South Eastern KY and moved to Louisville in 2006 to attend college at the University of Louisville (Go Cards!). After a brief stint in Mississippi (near NOLA) she and her husband decided that Louisville had definitely become their home and they relocated back to Possibility City just 9 months after they left. In addition to SnoWhat, Jessica also owns local tech & digital marketing company, River City Networks, with her husband, Adam.

April is from a small eastern Kentucky town called Majestic in Pike county. She moved to Louisville in 2001 to attend college and never left! She grew up eating delicious garden grub and as much green apple shaved ice as she could afford on a kid’s budget. April also makes a living creating art, snapping photos and other creative endeavors that catch her fancy.
