BEST FRO YO PLACE IN LOUISVILLE. Hands down.
They always have the best toppings and flavors of fro yo. The staff is always sweet. And they always have good music or movies on while you are there. It’s the cleanest fro yo place and the topping bar is always packed full or the freshest fruits and stuff. LOVE it, best place ever.

I am not ashamed to say that I love the self-​serve froyo trend. It seems some people don’t understand or embrace the concept, which is unfortunate. I am someone who likes to customize my food, and that’s exactly what I am allowed to do here. Also, I hate ordering the smallest size at a Coldstone, etc. and throwing half of it away because it’s still way too much for me to eat. Even if I’ve just had a giant dinner, I can always squeeze in a little froyo, and here I can decide on the exact amount I want. Don’t let the giant cups fool you — you don’t have to fill it up! That’s what they want you to do. I got one of my largest cups last night and it only cost me $ 4. Usually i’m in the $ 3 range, which is pretty reasonable if you ask me.
This place has some of the best and creamiest yogurt I’ve had at one of these shops (although a somewhat limited selection of flavors, but you can’t go wrong with original tart), and possibly the largest number of toppings I’ve seen, though not the most original, and no mochi.
I’m glad to have it so close, and will be filling up many punch cards here and look forward to enjoying many, many cups of froyo.

In a word: Overpriced.
I’m fairly certain I won’t be back here. I met a friend here for frozen yogurt this evening. I walked into the restaurant and was immediately confused by the concept. It’s pretty much a self-​serve frozen yogurt bar. You get the amount of frozen yogurt you like and then you choose from 20 – 30 different toppings and mix them in yourself. It’s entirely self-​serve. When you get to the register (which isn’t in any sort of natural progression… the layout sucks), you pop your yogurt on the scale and they weigh it.
My ½ lb of yogurt turned out to almost be 5 dollars. yes… five bucks… if i wanted to pay that much for dessert, i’d have gotten a pint of ben and jerry’s (which is two full cups of ice cream… my half pound was probably no more than a cup). or in fact, i’d just walk further down the street to homemade ice cream and pie kitchen… or i’ll travel down to the dairy kastle.
I don’t have a problem paying for a product that is worth the money, but 5 dollars for a dessert that i have to construct on my own… well, it’s highway robbery.
On top of this, the yogurt isn’t bad, but it’s not outstanding either… it’s very middle of the road. And, the toppings are all in open containers, just high enough for grimey little kids to get germs on them.
This whole operation reeks of the gimmicky Cold Stone craze… and we all seen how well that’s done… I give this place a year. People will wise up and realize that $ 5 for mediocre frozen yogurt with no customer service isn’t worth it.
Apparently, my review is coming under criticism…
Dairy Kastle is 100X the place that this is… and the fact that it’s a louisville institution that has been around forever speaks to that. I guarantee that sweet cece’s will only be around for a year or two and will disappear.
and if you go to dairy kastle and don’t have fun? well… frankly… you’re missing the point.
and if you only spent $ 7.00 on your large party, then i’m impressed, but i don’t believe that either. i had a very reasonable portion and it was upwards of $ 5.00
and if *I* went on a date and they took me to sweet cece’s, i’d take that as a sign that they are only concerned with appearances and trends, not with quality or value.
And I find it very odd the only other reviews are by people who don’t have any other reviews or profiles to speak of…
