I try not to give 5 stars a lot, but this place deserves it. Great golf course and great food at the country club. And friendly, outgoing staff is par for the course for the Polo Fields. The golf course is a long, fun, and challenging 18 holes. More holes than not are 400+ yards, and there is no shortage of water hazards. One par three you shoot from a tee box with the green about 100 ft lower in elevation, over a tall water fountain. Hole 1 and 9 you shoot over a steep ridge with rocks and a creek running through it! I have played this course several times, and it’s always very enjoyable. The clubhouse is just somewhere you want to be; it really harbors a welcoming southern feel. The dining room is adorned with mahogany colored molding and furnishings, with golf inspired décor on the wall. The dark green carpet and maroon accents give it a classic feel. There is not one thing on the menu that is bad, and everything is very reasonably priced(about $ 10 for lunch and $ 20 for dinner). They make their own with a lot of the dishes: the kettle chips and the home-made ranch dressing are awesome! And the chef takes pride in his menu and is great at presentation. The Polo Fields Golf and Country club is a place I would highly recommend!
