Amy and Corinna did 4 subdermal piercings above my brow and it looks FANTASTIC! Everything was explained to me in detail, I was not rushed, and service was professional and friendly. GO SEE AMY!

I’ve gotten twelve tattoos at eight different locations, six of them on the west coast and two here (I like to collect work from different folks). Rodney at Twisted Images and Craig Jackman at American Electric, in Silverlake, are my two favorite tattooers.
I haven’t gotten any work done at the new shop a few doors down from the last location, but I have stopped in to say hello (while waiting twenty-​seven days for a cut at Derby City Chop Shop), and the place is every bit as welcoming as the last spot. Clean, friendly, and comfortable-​making.
As for the tattoo experience: I scheduled a consultation with Rodney, as I wanted a very large piece done (about twelve hours on the table). He was ready when I arrived. We went over my reference photos and came up with a design, Rodney finding better references than those I came in with. A couple weeks later I showed up for my first session. I waited maybe five minutes before he was ready to go. The other two sessions were the same.
You spend twelve hours with anyone, you want to like them. Rodney is happy to talk if you’re feeling chatty and comfortable with long stretches of silence too.
I talked with a couple other tattooers during five-​minute breaks, and liked them as well.
As for the work, it’s excellent. I’ve gotten tattoos simply because I felt like getting tattoos, and I’ve gotten work that meant something. This piece meant something to me, and I really wanted it to be good. It turned out better than good.
I generally get one or two pieces at most from a tattooer. I’ll probably end up getting more than that from Rodney.

Major. Piercing studios dedicated to titanium are of a severity of their own. It shows comprehension and devotion to an art as much a part of expression as health as identity.

I got my first — and second — tattoos this weekend. After doing some research, I knew I wanted to go to Twisted, because of their reputation for having professional and creative artists. I couldn’t decide which artist I wanted to work with, though, because they all have great portfolios. An out-​of-​town friend was coming to visit & wanted a new tattoo (her fifth), so I told her I was thinking about Twisted. She checked out their website & texted me a few minutes later: I WANT LYNDI LOU! So, we made appointments with Lyndi and couldn’t have been more impressed. We love our tattoos & will both be going back to her in the future. She’s talented & fun & seems to love what she does. The shop is nice & everyone is incredibly friendly. Just a great experience all around.

My kids introduced me to Twisted several years ago. Since then I have not gone anywhere else for piercings or tattoos. The shop is clean, friendly, organized, and the staff are all very easy to talk to to. I would never trust anyone else with my body.

It is one of the best tattoo shops I’ve ever been in! Everybody was welcoming and treated each other like family. I had Lyndi do my tattoo, and man she is absolutely amazing. My tattoo looks fantastic and precise. Lyndi made sure I was comfortable throughout the whole process and was very informational about my after care. Many people told me I could get my tattoo for way less but «cheap tattoos aren’t good and good tattoos aren’t cheap», definitely will be coming back for more of my tattoo ideas.

If you’re tired of unprofessional shops and inexperienced piercers, then this is the place for you!
I had been going to Triumph tattoo for a long time, but my last visit made me realize that I needed to go somewhere else. A friend told me about Twisted images and I read the review so I decided to give it a shot. I went to get my septum done and Amy was amazing. She is very experienced and knowledgable and you can tell she really cares. She told me everything I needed to know and was extremely helpful. I plan on coming here for all of my future piercings. I highly recommend them.

I’ve been going here for a little over five years, this is by far one of the most reputable shops you can go for tattoos and piercings. I go to Amy exclusively for my piercings. You can expect great service from a staff that continues to keep up to date with current methods and innovative ideas that never cease to amaze me. I value my body, so I trusting and feeling comfortable with my piercer/​tattoo artist is important. I’ve always felt safe and happy with the work there.

I’ve been getting my tattoos exclusively from Lyndi since before she was at Twisted, and man have I enjoyed following her to this fine establishment! All of the artists, tattooers and piercers alike, are not only very talented, knowledgeable, and responsible, but they are a fun group of good people. I genuinely enjoy spending time there while going through the pain and excitement of body modification!

Got my first tattoo here and am so glad I did. I was so nervous about getting my tattoo, but everyone there was so nice and easy to talk to. My artist (S8N) did an amazing job working with me to perfect my vision. He also was really good at walking me through the process and making me feel comfortable. Very clean, and amazing service. Highly highly recommended for anyone in the market for a tattoo!

If you’re getting pierced anywhere in town other than Twisted Images, you’re doing it wrong.
I went to two other places here in Louisville before finding Amy at Twisted. The first told me to clean my piercing with Dial and Bactine (um…no) and the other one used terrible quality, externally threaded jewelry. When I called to ask who they got their jewelry from, all she would tell me was, «oh a few places.» …Thanks.
I know quite a lot about body modification at this point, especially piercing. After having some terrible piercings done, I took it upon myself to get educated on the subject. So, when I went in to see Amy about a simple nose piercing, I came ready with lots of questions.
She sat down with me as I told her that it may seem silly, but I had a lot of questions. She answered every single one, showed me her certifications, her jewelry suppliers, her setups, her piercing room, her portfolio, and her sterilization room. I was impressed. Since I found Amy in June of 2012, I have gathered 8 more piercings and wouldn’t dream of looking back.
She, and the rest of the Twisted staff, are amazing.

When asking who did the best tattoo work in Louisville, the majority said Twisted Images. I’m so glad they did. My friend and I both have had tattoos done by different artists at the shop and they have all turned out great! It’s a fun place to get a tattoo by great artists. The artistic ability of this group is unparalleled in Louisville!
