Peninsula Village, established in 1986, is a nonprofit long-term residential treatment center for adolescents and is a part of comprehensive behavioral health system. It is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations and is licensed by the state of Tennessee Department of Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities. In addition, the Peninsula Village is a member of the National Association of Therapeutic Schools and Programs. It provides services for mood disorders, substance abuse issues, behavioral disorders, character pathologies, difficulties in school environments, sexual abuse issues and cutting. Peninsula Village s team consists of psychiatrists, psychologists, primary care physicians, licensed clinical social workers, master’s level therapists, recreation therapists, certified addiction specialists and teachers. It is located in Louisville, Tenn.
