You’re Sew Vain is owned by Karen Hubert and Laurie Mendieta, two creative chicks who shared a vision to make unique, high quality personalized gifts and corporate items available to the people of Louisville. Laurie had a home-​based embroidery business for 10 years, doing mostly corporate clothing. Karen left her corporate job after 13 years to work part-​time at her children’s school while operating a side business designing custom handbags, window treatments, and other home fashions.
