Perfect location & great store, BUT NO PRICES listed on the bikes!!! One of my husband’s personal pet peeves!

We were traveling across country and my boyfriend and I stopped in. No one ever approached us or offered to help in anyway. Finally my boyfriend had to seek out an employee for assistance. I roamed the entire showroom floor and was never once approached. A beautiful facility for such poor customer service.

We visited TMHD on a total whim & were truly impressed! First time at a HD dealer. Mike G. was fantastic & made us feel very welcome! He was extremely knowledgeable, helpful & patient! Although we were just visiting, not buying, Mike stayed with us! That was awesome! If and/​or when we buy a HD, we will absolutely come to TMHD & work w/​Mike G.!!

En route to the 75^th my 2002 Road Glide began to stall when at a stop. The six of us entered the parking lot of Thunder Mountain five minutes before their closing time and were assisted by the Manager, Justin. At his direction the service department quickly accepted and wrote a service order. By 9:30 the next morning I learned the motor had sustained irreparable heat damage. This was shown to me and my two friends by way of a bore scope depicting severe scoring of the piston walls. My thanks to the technician, Ryan, who proved patient and without hesitation allowed three of us to view the damage. With no time to await a fix and absent any prompting by Thunder Mountain staff I decided to buy a ’15 FLHTK.
My circumstances were such that few options presented themselves. That said I engaged salesman Mike Gochenauer who provided test rides of three different touring models and encouraged additional rides. While my intent originally had been to get another Road Glide the 2015 model year did not offer an Ultra Classic version aside from the verrry high-​end CVO model. My fiancé and friends working in collusion, eeerrrr, I mean, working with Mike, had me take a test ride on a Street Glide. I was now sold on the «bat wings» which, to the delight of my fiancé and myself, lead to a full on Ultra Limited. The approach of those with whom I worked, including Doug in finance, was never that of individuals dealing with one then at a disadvantage. I never felt pressure nor was subjected to cliched sales pitches. Harold provided a thorough orientation session on the motorcycle before Mike formally delivered it by riding it down to our trailer.
I haven’t any regrets over the terms of the sale nor the eventual selection of an Ultra Limited. While I would have preferred to have bought from the only saleswoman and dealer with whom I’ve ever dealt, that thought is tempered by the demeanor displayed by and manner with which this dealer and the above-​named individuals, to include Justin, handled themselves in this transaction.

My fiancé Matt and I purchased a 2015 street glide from Chip and had an awesome experience!
We had been stopping in to see Chip for over 2 years.
We came in on a Saturday night just before closing to purchase a ring and a shirt and left with an amazing new Harley Davidson! We felt really bad about keeping some of the guys late but they made us feel right at home.

**ATTENTION SERVICE DEPT.**
I rode from Phoenix, AZ to Sturgis, SD for the 75^th. That’s 1400 miles one way. I rode almost another 700 while there. On my way home, I stopped at your Service Dept. and asked to have my TriGlide rear tire pressure checked before heading the long way through the Rockies.
I was given a tire pressure gauge and a hand pump (for shocks) and was told that service couldn’t do it. I checked the pressure and it was low. I asked again if they could put air in the tires. I was told to go to the Shell station on the other side of the freeway if I needed to put air in my tires. WTF? Really? I spent 35K on a new Trike and I can’t get air in my tires?
So, didn’t bother buying anything from your dealership. I don’t plan on returning either if that’s how you treat your visitors.
The only reason I give you 2 stars is because it appears on the surface to be a huge dealership that would have just about anything you need as long as it isn’t air for your tires.

Best dealership Ive gone to, i was just passing by and happened to stop in… great sales people very friendly. Skully is the nicest sales person ive come across. Huge huge huge store lots to look at and dream about.

They have a great selection of new and used Harley Davidson motorcycles. They also have a very large clothing and accessory department. All the same people over dealt with there were great. There’s even a dyno in the service area! It had been about 8 years since I’ve ridden so I took the motorcycle class they offer. It was a fantastic class. I’ve got about a café of riding experience and still learned a lot.

Bought a 2015 Harley Davidson Street Glide Special. From the initial meeting with Benji, through the purchasing process and taking me through every part of the dealership to assure that I understood everything I needed to know, Thunder Mountain was incredible! Truly felt like my purchase meant something to the staff, Mike in parts was really awesome, Dave in service was meticulous making sure I was aware of the service process and Harold covered everything I needed to ever know about my new ride.

The buying process was quick and easy, my sales guy Aaron was great to work with and gave us his personal number and quickly answered any questions I had long after the sale, Mike in parts is awesome and really knows his sh! t…
I have to admit, the crew they had a few years ago was horrible and I ended up going elsewhere, but now it’s a warm and friendly atmosphere and they have a great bunch of guys and gals that love what they do…

Large dealership midway between DIA and Cheyenne. Great place to rent a ride to explore the Rockies, Wyoming or for a run to Sturgis. Folks there are very friendly and accommodating. The on-​line reservation system makes sure you get exactly what you want reserved in advance. Pick up is easy and quick, returns were drama free and the bike I rented was virtually brand new and in perfect working order. Prices are really reasonable.
I will definitely use Thunder Mountain in future for rental rides.

My experience with Thunder Mountain Harley-​Davidson is one I wish I could forget. I purchased a brand-​new bike and when I return to pick it up the fuel tank had very little gas in the bike had not been cleaned. I return later with the bike to have the mufflers and air cleaner that I purchased with the bike installed. A stage one download was also required when using the new mufflers and air cleaner. The service department called me on Saturday to let me know that my bike was done. I was unable to pick up the bike on Saturday so we made arrangements for me to pick the bike up on Sunday. When I returned on Sunday to pick up the bike the engine would not start. I finally got the engine to start and then it would not idle and it kept backfiring. I left the bike there with a note explaining the problems that I was having. I waited on Tuesday for a call from the service department that never came. It was about 3 o’clock in the afternoon when I called to find out what was going on with my bike. The service department did not know what was wrong with the bike but assured me that it was running fine on Saturday. After a couple days they decided that the start stop switch had failed while the bike was there. They were sure that the problem had nothing to do with the work that was done. After replacing the start stop switch the problem was still present. Later I learned that while replacing the start stop switch they did not put all the parts back in that they had taken out. I explained the problem to some friends I have who are also Harley-​Davidson mechanics and was told that the problem had to do with the stage one download. I told the service department that I thought the software that was installed was corrupt and causing the problem. Again they were sure that the problem had nothing to do with what they did. They were sure that it was just a coincidence and that the bike broke on its own sometime in between Saturday and Sunday. Naturally I was surprised a few days later when they told me they thought that the computer was damaged and needed to be replaced. Again they were sure that it had nothing to do with the work that was done. At this point I was wondering that if the bike was not new and under warranty would I be the one having to pay for this? Either way the computer was replaced under warranty and the bike ran fine after that. So I picked up the bike and rode home with no problems. When I got home I noticed that the muffler heatshield had not been installed correctly and was scratching the new muffler. I also noticed that the front valve cover was scratched. When I called Thunder Mountain I was told that they would have the muffler repainted and the valve cover replaced. I told them that I wanted both mufflers repainted so they would match. When I picked the bike up I quickly noticed that the two mufflers no longer matched. I also noticed that the front valve cover did not have the correct finish as if it had been buffed rather than replaced. I confronted them about the valve cover and also pointed out that there were tool marks on the valve cover from the wrench that was used to install it. I was told that they would repaint both mufflers and that the valve cover that was installed was not the correct valve cover. This is when I realized these people look you straight in the eye and lie to you. I waited for the new valve cover to get in then I returned the bike for service. After the service was complete I looked the bike over very carefully. I was happy with the work that was performed so I brought the bike outside. When I brought the bike outside I noticed that there was not a drop of fuel in the tank. The service advisor told me that it had the same amount of fuel that it had when I brought it there. I knew that this was not true because when I brought the bike and I made sure it only had half a tank of fuel. I knew the fuel tank was going to have to be removed to replace the valve cover. Again I felt like I was lied to. The service advisor took the bike into the back and put fuel in it he brought it back with exactly half a tank of fuel. Take my advice and never bring your bike to this place for service. The thing that I am most upset about is that I really used to like this dealership. The reason I purchased my motorcycle from here is because I enjoyed coming here and visiting with the staff and looking at the merchandise. It’s a shame that they do business this way.

Awesome people look over your bike well while doing service work. They found a soft brake problem called me for repair ok. Fantastic. I had to .pick my bike up on my days off which are not the days service is open. Colin helped me out got my bike out on my way back to Wyoming. Very good service. I tried to get work done in Casper but was let down. It was another 100 miles further but worth it. The people at Thunder Rock. Always come back no other place for me. And they washed before giving it love these guys.

As far as we are concerned, there is no reason to go to any other dealer, regardless of where you are in the country. Let me explain…
We bought our bike there last year and the «experience» at Thunder Mountain stands as one of the best consumer experiences in our lives… on all fronts. Rey in Sales was awesome, helpful, knowledgeable and gave me his cell phone number, never hesitating to answer questions any time of the day or night — even to this day, long past the sale. Mike in the Parts department is great as well… knows the Harley parts and aftermarket options inside and out. He spent time with us going over different options and was able to get a feel for what we wanted to do with the bike and make perfect recommendations. Tina in retail is as cool as they come… she spent the time to get to know us and now Jacki and her are like long lost sisters.
The guys in finance, the service guys, the quality of the experience and their service set a bar so high that now, having moved from Colorado to Texas, none of the dealers in a 75 mile radius can match them. Moving away from Thunder Mountain ended up in our «negative» column around the move, but we still call there to order our parts, call in our orders from the retail side and go by whenever we are back in CO. And next year, when it’s time to add to the stable, I’ll call Rey and Mike, and we’ll figure it all out, then we’ll ship the bike to wherever we are — unless we are lucky enough to be back in CO and close to our Thunder Mountain home.
I’ve been in a lot of HD dealerships — more than I care to count in Texas at this point, and none come close to Thunder Mountain… I’m not saying they aren’t decent in some way or another, but they aren’t Thunder Mountain and don’t deliver the complete experience or strive to ensure you are comfortable, satisfied and truly part of the community.

I have bought 5 bikes at this dealership. I was for the most part happy with the service.
I paid off one of my bikes and go to find out, the dealership was at fault for a vin error on the title. I called and talked with several managers in this issue and I could not recive help in any way from any body there. They had 2 of the numbers backwards in the title and since it is the responsesbuilty of the dealer for a clean correct title, they should have been willing to correct the issue.
They do not care about the customer in anyway. They are the worst most useless dealer I have ever been to. The worst thing. They tried to put the blame for their error I the DMV. They had nothing to do with and I proved they wrote the vin down wrong.
If you go here do not expect good helpful service.
Go to a different dealer. That’s good advice.
