Before we moved from the area, Highland’s had been our go-to place for years for subs, pizza and Greek salad. We visited the area recently and ordered take-out and found nothing has changed; they have remained consistent and seriously, no one does a toasted sub like they do. Note: the parking lot is busy, but Highland’s has designated parking spots.

Nice family run restaurant with great pizza and fresh sub rolls. Tuna salad sub is my favorite. Salads are good too. Very affordable.

I personally love this place! I was turned onto it because of the falafel wraps and have since expanded to the pizza. Granted all I’ve ever ordered is the grilled chicken broccoli pizza, but both are top notch. The salad are a little lacking in the greens department, but the owners are nice, the food is good and like I said the falafels are great.

My boyfriend lives five minutes away from Highland’s so we frequently order take out and delivery. First, the staff is unbelievably friendly from the owners to the counter staff to the delivery people. Second, the food is unbelievably fresh and delicious at the cheapest prices around. An X-large sub which is only a few dollars more than a large is actually two large separate subs. Between us my boyfriend and I have tried just about everything on the menu and we’ve never been disappointed. The pizza is cheesy and served piping hot. The salads always have fresh vegetables. More than anything though I recommend the subs. You can get a large meatball sub(footlong) with fresh homemade meatballs for five dollars. You will not be disappointed.

Nothing like being stuck with no dinner date on a business trip. Luckily, I found this little gem just around the corner from my hotel. No frills doesn’t begin to describe the décor. The place is simply done in small cookie cutter booths. Not the most comfortable, but hey, I’m here for the chow, not a date. The menu is impressive. I was just there to get a pie and a drink to take back to the hotel, but after the pizzas, the choices keep rolling. Cold and hot sandwiches, several types of pasta, fried seafood, and some Mediterranean favorites(gyros, falafel, etc) thrown in for color made up the balance of the choices all at very reasonable prices. I had my heart set on a pizza and stuck to my guns. I ordered a small«meat lovers» and a root beer for go. While it was being made, I noticed baklava on the counter, so I got a piece of that to take along with me. The pizza was made in front and thrown in the oven which is just behind the counter. It was empty when I was there on a Wednesday night and I chatted with the fella running the place. He was friendly and informed me that I needn’t ever come in again. :) Because they deliver. That’s good news for the next time I’m in this neck of the woods, but we also established that the Pacific NW, where I normally lay my head at night, is a bit outside the delivery radius. 10 minutes later after placing the order, I was off to the hotel with my prizes in tow. The pizza was great. Medium/thin thickness on the crust. It was chewy and good. The toppings were plentiful but not overbearing. The sauce was tasty. Two thumbs up on the pie. The baklava was good, but not outstanding. The root beer… Well, it was root beer. Definitely a spot I will stop in again when I am back up that way and in need of some grub.

I was driving through the area, so I stopped for lunch at Highland’s Pizza, in the same strip plaza as Phở 88. Highland’s Pizza offers pizza(slices too), hot & cold subs, gyros, pasta, steak tips, seafood, salads, fried appetizers, and baklava. There’s a large cooler with Coca Cola products and a small cooler with energy drinks. It’s an order at the counter place with hard fast food style booth seating in the dining area in front. I had the Lunch Special Any Small Sub, Chips(Herrs), and a Can of Soda for $ 5.25 plus tax. My 9-inch steak bomb cooked to order(shaved steak, peppers, mushrooms, and onions) tasted pretty good, a good value for lunch. The service here was friendly. ACCESS: The parking here can get crowded and left turns from the west exit towards Drum Hill can be tricky(too close to the Parkhurst Rd intersection). Recommend using the east exit for left turns onto Westford St.
