Established in 2009.

We have been servicing pools for over 17 years, But our company was formed in 2009. Some of our vinyl pool liner installers have been working in the pool trades since the late 1960’s.

Business Owner

Mike began working on swimming pools at the age of 17 as a boy living on Cape Cod, and continued working part time in the pool service trade, when in 2009 at the age of 40, Mike Formed MGK Pool Service.

He has hired a veteran team of service technician to install new in ground pool, and much of the work he does with his oldest son Jack.

I have been trying so hard to get a pool installed in my yard leaving numerous emails and messages. I finally got an email reply basically dismissing me. Very ignorant and told me i should go to namco. Which i did you should have a business if you cant handle it. I have never been treated so bad

Rudest personnel I’ve encountered in a long time. Called to ask questions about general maintenance and to make an appointment for service, and the owner told me «if you keep talking I’m going to hang up on you»! As a first time pool owner, I’m looking for a business that I can rely on to help me. But if hanging up on me for asking questions is their idea of good customer service then I would rather spend my money elsewhere.

MGK Pool Service was able to help me out this fall when my pool closing got delayed. The majority of leaves had fallen and needed to be cleaned out of the pool before closing. As I called around, no company was willing to handle the cleaning job. Most were not even answering the phone as it was late in the season. MGK was able to handle both jobs and got everything done in one call for a reasonable price. Mike and his staff are personable and knowledgeable. I will not hesitate to call MGK again and recommend them highly.

Came out to help with non-​starting pump; found no electricity and arranged to have electrician come out. I had pre-​approved purchase of a new pump if needed — he could easily have taken advantage of me but didn’t. On the phone and in person, very helpful, customer-​orientated, and professional. I’ve been missing a local pool maintenance company ever since ASAP moved way up to Nashua — this is what I’ve been looking for.

I’m not clear why these other two reviewers had so many problems. I’ve used MGK for the last four years for maintenance, repair and replacement. While the turn around time is generally a bit longer then what I’m used to (2 weeks on a pool liner replacement) Mike has always been professional and upfront with costs and knowledge transfer. The replacement pump and filter (I moved from cartidridge to DE) is working flawlessly and he got it up and running in 20 minutes… all the while explaining how to service it and backwash the DE if I ever needed to do it myself. Great company.

We had a similar poor experience with MGK this past May. We obtained several quotes to replace the liner on our above ground pool. Mike met with my wife and was very professional and polite. We gave him half of the cost of the job as a deposit and was promised the work work would be complete within 30 days. After 30 days, he told us that he was too busy, but he had someone else helping him out and this new guy would be over to do the work. After many phone calls and poor communication for a couple of weeks, this other gentleman showed up to do the work. Liner was poorly installed with wrinkles on the bototm of the pool. Mutiple inquiries to ask how to fix have gone unanswered by Mike and MGK. To top it all off, there were cigarette butts all over the driveway when they finished the job. Made a huge mistake making the final payment before getting into the pool and inspecting the work. Poor job by them. Would never recommend them to anyone.

Great, professional and reasonably priced service from MGK Pool Service. I’ve had a few issues over the past 3 years since owning my pool that MGK has helped me out with, replacing the filter grates, replacing the pump, fixing a pipe leak and general vaccum service. MGK is always responsive, quick, reliable and reasonable, which is why I call them first for any pool service. Recently MGK fixed a small issue for me for free! Highly recommended.
