Gator’s Shack

The menu prices do not match the food, my son and I ordered Gator bites a burger some type of fried onion as well as chilli. The Gator was over cooked and salty, the burger was dry and chewy the fried onion thing was fried then reheated, I would say the chilli came out of a can but, canned chilli is better. The front of the house was a worth 2 stars, the kitchen and the food… Well the food was warm
…50 bucks for sub fast food standards.

Their burgers are great, my mother had the chicken quesadilla it was good too. They have happy hour basically all day until 8 pm, will definitely come back !

After waiting about 30+ minutes for our breakfast, we finally got to eat. The food is mediocre, just basic breakfast food, nothing special. which whatever. we arent picky people.
But the real issue was how they handled their mistake of the payment; my card didnt go through they said, so we had used my boyfriends card instead, and they said they had canceled payment on my card. Well as it turns out, thats not what happened. Which whatever, i called them up (after i made sure it wasnt pending in my account and it had officially gone thru) and let them know of their mistake. The manager said she would call me back, which she never did.
So i gave it a few days and called them back. The girl who answered (who was talking inbetween me and the manager) initially said she only saw my payment, and not my boyfriends. i was put on hold again, and then came back and said that my boyfriends payment went thru and mine had been canceled, that they never received the money from it and that i should call the bank. and hung up on me.
So i called the bank (cause wtf) Who then laughed and was like nope, they definitely recieved that payment. The bank refunded my money for me, but i still feel cheated by Gator’s Shack. They charged us 40 $ for a cheap two person breakfast. And then acted like I was a problem they didnt want to deal with and dismissed me.
Gator’s Shack stole from me. I wouldn’t recommend going there unless you bring a book for the long wait for your food, and pay in cash. DO NOT TRUST THEM WITH YOUR CREDIT CARDS!!!

Hanging out with Mel the bartender is worth the price of admission… she rocks! Expect cold beer and standard bar fare with a touch of Florida outback cuisine, including gator and frog’s legs. Wednesday night is poker night which is a lot of fun if you’re into playing cards, sipping whiskey and an all round good time.
