Best Western Plus Lubbock Windsor Inn

After booking reservations over the phone, the very rude front desk attendant Gloria told me «um, nope, no reservations» and stared at me dumbly. I showed gave her my confirmation number, still «yeah, nope, dont see it.» Proceeded to show her my confirmation email, her response was «I don’t know what to tell you, I don’t see it». Since I obviously was not getting any where with her I proceeded to call the 1800 # and got the reservations worked out myself.
We went to swim, but the room was freezing and the water smelled foul. When I asked about it I got a «we keep it room temperature, and another I don’t know about the smell.
There was no breakfast left at 9:35 am and the same front desk clerk said they would be making no more, there were many other guests who did not get any breakfast either.
I misplaced my glasses and asked her if anybody had turned them in, guess what response I got… «I don’t know, you can go look were you think you left them.» Then to top off the worst western stay they charged me a whopping $ 200.00 extra on my bill trying to accuse me of stealing the little 10¢ tray that you make coffee with! $ 200.00! What’s worse is I had told them it was missing already. It took many calls and frustrated conversations between myself and the staff to get that bogus charged removed, and do not count on the owners to contact you, because they never well.
Do yourself a favor and do not stay at this place, the staff is rude and yell across to each other through the hallways.
Pool room freezing and uncared for. And professionalism is non attainable at this hotel.

If I could do zero stars, I would. Booked three weeks ago for May graduation because y’all know how LBK hotels get around graduations and I had to get it done. Well, yesterday I get an email that my reservation had been cancelled. I got the run around from corporate and from the hotel and ultimately, they said I cancelled it and it was out of their hands. So to rebook, the price would be DOUBLE. I understand rates go up. But I did not cancel it. I tried to talk to everyone’s boss and after talking to two managers I was told that other managers were busy and were not available to talk to me. This place has BEYOND terrible customer service. There is so much more I can say but Unilocal really isn’t the same as talking to higher ups at Best Western so I will instead continue my complaint with them. Just a warning to everyone… just because you reserve a room doesn’t actually mean the reservation will stick. If the hotel wants to charge you more they will magically have a computer error and give you the higher price!

If I can give this place a zero … well, just did! Very deceiving people. I inquired & spoke to Sydney few times on the phone prior to checking in. From the very beginning I was very honest and disclosed that it will be me, my daughter, & 4 dogs (2 big, 2 small). When I was filling out the information sheets she stopped me saying don’t worry bout that part & took it. The next day, early in the morning i got 4 – 5 calls at least, (from this Spanish girl who claimed to be the front desk manager) to harass me! (I also asked for late check out but ended up leaving by 8:30 am) I explained to her how i fully disclosed it to Sydney about how many & kind of dogs I have. I asked her to call Sydney to verify, she claimed she doesn’t have her contact# (balogna!!!) She could’ve investigated my whole transactions from phone calls, check in (video), before charging me but her policy was: we’ll charge you & if you’re telling the truth we’ll reverse it! Seriously? Guess what? I was telling the truth but I was charged!!! What kind of customer service is this? Never mind that it smelled sour in the room, the bar of soap was open, a/​c was not cold enough, spots on sheets. Those stuff I could’ve lived with but the thieving, NO! No excuse for charging me more than what I was suppose to pay for & handling me rudely!!! I’d think twice about staying here if you’re looking for a stress free place :-/

The service was absolutely horrible. The clerks were extremely rude & charged for «extra people in the room» because family came over to swim with us. They showed no concern whatsoever for the little boy who received 5 stiches from a cut he got in the pool area. The pool was nasty. The water smelled & the floor of the hot tub had about 2 inches of sediment on it.

Booked a room two months in advance for a $ 100 a night. The morning of my check-​in which was at 3, 5 hours before I got there they charged my credit card for my entire stay, 2 nights. It did not have sufficient funds so they cancelled my room. I was going to use a different card which was more than sufficient with funds, but I never got that chance. I get there and I have no room but they do have a room for $ 70 more a night. I thought this was kinda of shady. I ended up paying $ 140 more than I intended. I have never had any hotel charge my card before I get there.

For the price, my room was not good. It was very humid even with the a/​c on and it had a smell. Ended up being that the carpet was soping wet (slush, slush!) about 3 feet into the room in front of the a/​c. I told the night clerk and she wasn’t concerned at all and didn’t offer too move us to another room. The breakfast was good.

Rooms not updated ac s don’t work needed a fan both weeks I was there and forget all about high speed internet could not connect at all phone not laptop hallway smelled like pee I won’t be supposed if this is a super 8 or Laquita before long

Our stay has been pleasant after several hours on the road, but the room is not set up for a baby. We come in and the room smells of old cooked food, the outlets and corresponding cords, especially the air unit are difficult to hide.
The location is ideal as far as highway access and it is quiet. We have not heard other guests or slamming of room doors. The price is right too, just don’t try and come up on a weekend they are always booked.

Hotel is only surface cleaned. Mirrors smeared room dusty. Lots of fresher used to cover orders. My covers were dirty asked for clean one told they didn’t have any sorry. Unit smells when you turn it on. Need pet friendly place so severely limits my choices. Covered up with blanket I had in my car. Staff was all nice helpful. Older hotel my door looked like someone had tried to break it down. Breakfast the gravy and waffles great. Powered eggs frozen bicuits mystery meat sausage. I carry stuff so disinfected my room best I could. More places should take pets. :0 (.

Staff is great rooms are always clean free breakfast a plus free Wifi a plus free parking what else can someone ask for.

I go to Lubbock twice a year and this was my first time staying here. I didn’t have any major issues while I was here but they did not have a spare roll of toilet tissue.
I made the reservation online and got a senior citizen discount which I liked. My chicken was painless and I was shown tomorrow which was very clean. My room had a refrigerator and microwave as well as a coffee maker in the bathroom and A flat screen TV.
Since my coworker didn’t pay by credit card they use cash they had to leave an extra $ 40 deposit. They also had a continental breakfast which was pretty good they had eggs, biscuits, coffee, yogurt and fruit.
In the end my stay was fine and I may use them again in the future.

Don’t judge a book by it’s cover!
This hotel is nicely updated, has clean & comfy rooms, good customer service, free Wi-​Fi, and a better than average free breakfast!
A few small things that made me happy… plugs on the lamp bases by the bed… no re-​arranging the furniture to plug in my cell phone! The eggs are the breakfast bar were real and tasted great! They also had some toppings for the eggs… grated cheese, salsa, and a few other things!

We stayed here last week on our road trip and it was just fine. Not the cleanest but not trashy. Just feels a little older and you can see that in the baseboards and caulking. Pillows were nice and fluffy and the breakfast had lots of options including gigantic Texas shaped waffles which the kids loved. Just fine to rest your head for a night.

I likely would have rated this three stars if not for being forced into a smoking room. I sometimes don’t mind them, but this one had a very noticeable odor. In fact, I would suggest staying as close to the lobby as you can if you are a non-​smoker, as you begin to smell the stale smoke as you get to the end of the hall where all the smoking rooms are located (this is the second floor).
The rooms are otherwise decent and reasonably up to date. The desk chair had little padding, and the folding door to the closet would come off its hinge. Noise was about average for this type motel.
The breakfast was a bit better than expected: sausage, eggs, hash browns and waffles were included among the typical «continental fare».

For the money, this is the best place to stay in Lubbock. Modern rooms, great bedding, clean, comfortable, friendly staff, free internet, very good bathroom. Very pleasant surprise.

We stayed here on the first day of our 9 days vacation to New Mexico. We picked this place because it was rated as #3 place to stay in Lubbock in Trip Advisor.
The hotel was right off the highway and it had the feeling of a cheap motel. The receptionist area was really small. The hallway smelled smoke. The room was decent but small. But compared to Arbor Inn & Suites’ room, this was way so inferior.
The swimming pool was good and indoor. After being cooped up in the car, my kids totally went for it. The breakfast was decent — my kids were glad they had sausages and eggs.
I don’t think I will go back there.
