Hampton Inn & Suites Lubbock Southwest

Hampton Inn is seriously the best hotel in Lubbock. The staff is super friendly, they offer the best customer service and even allow for me to use a local gym nearby when I’m in town for work. Well today they did the sweetest thing ever.
They asked me how my sister was doing and I told them she was Graduating soon. So they surprised her with a cake and flowers! Hampton Inn you are the best! Thank you for making us feel welcomed like a home away from home. This nice gesture means the world to us!

This place is one of the nicest, if not the nicest Hamptons I have ever stayed in and I travel regularly. Everything from the quality of the rooms to the service is top notch for its price bracket and even better than a lot of higher tier hotels I have stayed at. I previously stated in the Townplace Suites that sits adjacent to this Hampton and it was a dump compared to this place. Not only that, but the price for this hotel is actually $ 20 cheaper than most of the surrounding properties including the Afformentioned Towneplace suites. Melissa, the front desk clerk was very nice and professional and deserves an extra special mention.

Best hotel experience to date. I work as a corporate pilot so I’m on the road a lot and stay in many hotels. I’ve never been treated better than I was when I stayed here.
Upon checking in, me and the other crew member struck up a conversation with Christina Gandhi who is the GM at the hotel. She was a pleasure to talk to and was very welcoming. We told her that we chose to stay there because it was the #1 rated hotel in Lubbock on TripAdvisor. She said they work extra hard to maintain that status. During the conversation we mentioned to her that we were thinking about going to see the new Fast & Furious movie (Furious 7) that evening. Afterwards we each went to our respective rooms and changed clothes and then hopped in the rental car to go grab a quick bite for lunch. As we returned back to the hotel and went up to our rooms we each found a gift bag hanging from the door handle. In each of our bags we found a Toblerone chocolate bar, a bottle of water, and… a hand written card containing a MOVIE TICKET to the Alamo Drafthouse to see the 7:15 showing of Furious 7! And if the ticket wasn’t enough, they also included a $ 20 gift card to be used for our food!
I honestly couldn’t believe they did that for us. We immediately went down and thanked her and gave her a big hug. Christina really went out of her way to make our stay enjoyable and one I personally will never forget. I will be staying here on all future trips to Lubbock!

My husband and i stayed for the first night away from our kids in 9 years for our 10 year anniversary. The greeting was wonderful. The room was nice except the bathroom had pubic like hair around the shower grout. I am pregnant and that really made me feel sick so my husband cleaned it and I brushed it off. We spent time in the room which was nice but when we went to the pool this ladder had broke on my husband and he twisted his knee and fell. Bruising it and cutting it. We told the front desk they filled out an injury report and gave him some ice. They were polite and understanding but our night was ruined. He was in a lot of pain and with the bleeding and swelling I was helping nurse him all night to keep it as pain free as possible. Not the way I intended to spend our 1 night alone for our 10 year anniversary. We left the hotel very dissatisfied and dissapointed. We are honors members and have only stayed at honors hotels on business and this was the worst experience we could have had really. The next week he had to have short work days and constantly tend to his hurt leg. So not only did our anniversary become ruined he lost pay over this as well. I just wish more could have been done to help with the situation. Not just an ice pack and an I’m sorry…

Best place to stay in Lubbock for under $ 120 and so much better than the other Hampton. The front staff is always friendly and helpful, the meeting rooms are done well with table skirts and they support local catering for your group. Happy hour is earlier than usual with great snacks and free beer (Michelob Ultra & Bud Light kegs) and cheap wine. Clean and free wifi. I take one star as they don’t have central heat and air — still using the unit under the window which circulates as you are trying to sleep.

Very impressed! Check in was quick. Kim at the front desk was super friendly! They were having a free dinner which I wasn’t even aware of when we booked the room. (We didn’t actually eat but I thought that was pretty neat). Our room was nice and cool. Bathroom was roomy and beds were comfy. Great stay!

First of all, I travel extensively for work and stay in hotels at least 100 nights each year and I am a Hilton Honors Diamond member and prefer to book Hilton-​brand (particularly Hampton Inn) properties when I travel.
This hotel was a welcome sight after previously checking into a local competitor hotel and having an awful experience. I used the Hilton mobile app to book the reservation and then arrived at the hotel 10 minutes later. The friendly front desk staff already had my key ready and welcomed me for being a diamond member. I was also advised that the hotel provides complimentary dinner and drinks, including beer and wine.
Room #122 was clean and quiet, despite being at the end of the hall near the pool area. The bed and sheets were clean and there was a good variety of pillows on the bed, from firm to large and fluffy. I was able to find one to suit my preferences.
The shower had ample hot water and the sinks and toilets worked perfectly. The room’s décor was modern and updated and felt inviting.
My only complaint was that the ceiling wall was thin and I heard the guest above me walking around wearing what must have been lead shoes.
The next night was pasta dinner night, which I did not try, but looked good as I passed.
Front desk staff provided complimentary toothpaste and deodorant with a smile and always greeted me as I arrived or left. I will definitely stay at this Hampton when I return to Lubbock.

I have stayed at this property twice now in last few months — I stay at lots of Hampton & Hilton properties as travel weekly around Texas.
The Staff, Property and Services are THE BEST I have experienced in many years of travel.
I will continue to exclusively stay at THIS Hotel when I pass thru the South Plains.
They do a great job !!! FIVE Stars — and somebody noticed.

My husband and I stayed here in Dec 2013 while visiting our friends who are living in Lubbock. Part of the reason I chose this property was because of the free shuttle service advertised on the website. Before booking, I called to inquire about the shuttle and was told that it runs regularly during daytime hours, would provide transport to and from the airport, and could be requested after 8pm or so if we called the front desk first. Such service would completely eliminate our need to rent a car so I booked it.
We were picked up by a friendly and helpful driver. We checked in, put our bags up in our room, and headed downstairs where our friends picked us up. We called that evening to request a shuttle and were told that there was nobody to drive the shuttle at night — a little disappointing since I was told that the shuttle could still be requested at night — so our friend took us back.
The next morning we had breakfast in the lobby and were very pleased with the food. We returned to our room to shower and things took a turn for the worse. My shower was less than lukewarm in the beginning and quickly turned cold. Not what you want when there’s ice on the ground outside. By the time my husband went to get in the shower he had no water, NONE. No toilet, no sink, no shower. I called the front desk and was informed that they were having problems with hot water on our side of the property and would have to keep the water off while making repairs. The water came on within the next 30 – 40 minutes. This made us late to meet with our friends.
Frustrated by our lack of shuttle service the night before, my husband called again to inquire about getting a shuttle back to the hotel. He was told that they would have to contact a driver to pick us up. This was not an option the night before and all of a sudden there’s an option to contact a shuttle driver for us? Interesting. I was happy this worked out but the inconsistency was a bit frustrating.
We go back up to our room to discover that housekeeping had never stopped by. We had not left any sort of tag hanging on our door to keep them out of our room. Disappointing.
A week following our stay, I received an email from Hampton Inn asking me to review my stay. I sent rating and comments (reflecting what you see here). I received email replies from Angela Lacy and Todrick Gibbs recognizing my concerns. Ms. Lacy offered my money back or a voucher for a future stay at the property. I responded with a request for my money back. I never received a response.
I contacted Christina Gandhi on Jan 11 at the e-​mail address provided by Mr. Gibbs to explain that I never received a response and asked her how I should proceed. No response from Ms. Gandhi.
One week later, I submitted my comments through Hampton Inn’s website. I was contacted by the general manager of a different property in Lubbock who explained that my comments were sent to him in error but that he would reach out to Ms. Gandhi and Hilton Guest Assistance on my behalf.
Here we are, two and half months following my stay and I have not received the follow up that I have requested.
I was going to submit this last week but decided to give them one last chance. I called the property and asked to speak with Ms. Gandhi. Instead, I was transferred to Ms. Lacy who said that I had been issued a service recovery (ie. refund) and she insisted that she had responded to my emails in the past (I checked my inbox, spam folder. nothing). I explained that I never received a refund. Ms. Lacy explained that because I prepaid for my room online through the website the refund would have to come from corporate instead of the individual property and that corporate did not like issuing refunds or something to that effect. She apologized, said she would follow up with corporate, and promised to contact me the next day and would look into mailing me a check. Three days went by and I sent her a message, once again, inquiring about my refund. So, one week following my last contact with Ms. Lacy I have received NO RESPONSE, NO SIGN OF A REFUND. I had even asked «when will I hear from you» and she said «tomorrow». Is it so much for me to ask that someone follows through??? And I would love if someone would send me copies of these email that were allegedly sent to me about the refund that was issued but that I never received.

We decided to stay here on a whim during our quick trip to town.
We were very impressed. The front desk was friendly and courteous. The room was very clean and organized. We also had a note from housekeeping saying the sheets and comforter were changed before we arrived, very cool. We also had a note to sign up for hilton rewards and get 10% off your stay, very cool as well.
The breakfast was very good. Eggs, sausage, biscuits, gravy, waffles, cereal, fruit and yogurt. All fresh. Also, coffee, apple and orange juice for beverages. Everything was fresh and replenished frequently.
Great place to stay, we will be back.

As good as it gets! This is definitely one of the best Hampton Inn’s I’ve ever stayed in. Service is top notch, the hotel is clean, and best of all, there is complimentary breakfast AND dinner. Yes, dinner.
After a long and exhausting 10-​hour drive, I finally pulled into this Hampton Inn (I had originally thought I booked for the other Hampton Inn down the street but was redirected here because my reservation for the other hotel didn’t exist). Whether this was fate or destiny I’m so glad I ended up at this Hampton Inn! (Next time I’ll double-​check my reservation so that I make sure to book this Hampton Inn and Suites). :)
The concierge is polite, and greeted me as soon as I stepped foot into the hotel. The main dining/​lobby area is such a relaxing sight and really relaxes you after a long journey. As I was handed my room keys, the gentleman at the front desk told me that if I hadn’t made dinner plans yet, they had a «Manager’s Reception» going on from 5:30 — 7:30pm. I didn’t know what that was but he told me it was complimentary dinner. Complimentary = Free… not a difficult decision. The dinner consisted of a salad bar with grilled chicken, toppings, other vegetable platters, cheese and crackers, and alcoholic beverages (Wine/​beer). This was such a wonderful surprise. I was so relieved I wouldn’t have to go back out and drive to find a place for dinner. The wine, dinner, and service were great, just be sure to tip.
To add to a great stay here at the Hampton Inn and Suites, I had an issue with the toilet in my restroom so I called the front desk and one of the people from the front desk came immediately to my room to fix it. Not only that, but the next morning, the maintenance man knocked on my door to make sure it was still working properly. The communication between staff members is very efficient and I was surprised and pleased that they had someone come and check on the restroom throughout my stay.
The beds are not too soft and not too firm so it makes for a really comfortable slumber. I hate it when the beds are too soft and my back hurts in the morning. You won’t have that problem here.
Complimentary breakfast is just as good as their complimentary dinner (if not better.). I love the steel cut old-​fashioned oatmeal with toppings and their fresh cut fruit. They have a wide selection of beverages (coffee, tea, milk, juice, water) and hot foods (french toast, waffles, pastries, sausage, eggs) as well as eggs and yogurt.
Overall, I had such a pleasant stay here, my only regret is that I couldn’t stay longer. Oh well, there’s always a next time. I’d definitely recommend this hotel to anyone and I’ll definitely be back. :)

Wonderful staff, the best Hampton Rooms anywhere (I’m Hilton Diamond and live in Hamptons year round).
PLUS: Tonight, April 17^th, they threw a dinner spread out I’ve never seen at a Hampton Inn. A huge salad bar with freshly cut EVERYTHING. At least 30 items.
Is that all? NO! They had roasted quartered chicken made up and in a steam table (YUM) plus… Free beer and wine! It was great.
Wireless internet connected quickly but was just a little slow. The flat screen tv’s are also on the small side.
Who cares!!! This place rocks. Hilton Peeps, give this place a day in court. You’ll be happy you did.

This is a nice place to stay when traveling to Lubbock. Every member of the staff I have encountered has been very polite and helpful. The hotel is fairly new and so everything is fresh and modern. They serve a nice complementary dinner which I took advantage of the night I checked in, it saved me a trip out and a few bucks on my expenses. I will stay here on my next trip.

This is my first choice in hotels when traveling to Lubbock.
I’ve been upgraded to the suites as a HHonors Gold member and have stayed in the «regular» rooms — both great.
The first time I stayed here I fell in love with this place. My «regular» room was actually pretty large. I liked that there was a shower-​only in the bathroom — — I rarely take a tub bath during my frequent travels anyways. The suites are even larger of course, with a sofa, floral drapes, small refrigerator, and a traditional bathtub shower.
Service is excellent at this property! Everyone from the front desk to housekeeping — super friendly.
They have a nightly manager’s reception from 5:30pm to 7:30pm. 2 complimentary beverages and some light snacks. It’s pretty decent.
Small gym… pool…
Quiet and cozy rooms, and comfortable bed! Oh and complimentary breakfast in the morning.

Twice I’ve been to this hotel and twice they upgraded me to a suite for free. Extremely nice staff and very nice hotel.
