J & B Coffee Co

J&B is such a fun hang out spot. The baristas are friendly, and it’s a really awesome place to see so many different members in a community. I love the workers there, I’ve never had a drink that wasn’t good or tasted different from the last time I ordered it. Their unity is really spot on for a local coffee shop.
The only thing I don’t like about j&b is the weird smell my clothes have when I leave. I know– a little nit picky. I normally end up smelling like burnt coffee for the rest of the day, the smell really sticks. If I don’t have anything else for the rest of the day, I don’t normally mind.
I really like their plain black coffee, it’s got great flavor and isn’t watered down. I also enjoy their specialty drinks (when I feel like splurging), the Lubbock High is always delicious.

This place serves very good drinks and a large variety, the london fog is my fav but the smoothies and traditional tea is also v good. This is not the place for studying alone or listening to music. Its always packed and bustling. Come here for a first coffee date or a group project where you plan to talk more than study.

I love j&b. I’m a regular here. They have a rather big menu so if you love coffee or even if you just like coffee shops minus this coffee this a good place for you. This is where you go if you like the fun lattes with lots of flavors like mocha, chocolate, caramel etc. Here’s what I love to get here– a good chia latte, the lubbock high, 50 below frozen hot chocolate, or even a good strawberry smoothie.

I ordered the blueberry tea and a blueberry scone. I love the set up of this place. Great little coffee spot. Great location. I will have to review again once I try the espresso. It was too late in the afternoon for me to order that, but I usually judge a coffeehouse on their espresso and coffee. However, I am picky about tea and this one was great… good color, good brew. I would have liked a little more ice since they do free refills. I will be back, to have more tea, and to try the espresso. So far, I love this place.

Second semester at TTU, I was ready to get out and explore some local places. There was a lot of hype for this place, and it lived up to it!
It was a lot nicer on the inside than I expected. Very tasteful and classy, and a decent amount of space. It was pretty crowded, but I was able to find a comfortable place to sit in the back room in relative silence. I’ve heard sometimes you can go upstairs to somewhere even quieter, but it was chained off when I was there. No big deal.
I got a 16 oz Greek Treat and it was awesome. It was a latte made with Irish cream, and had great foam on the top. Got some leaf art too. Delicious coffee. They’ve got complimentary water cups that aren’t tiny, and a self-​serve water jug that gets refilled regularly.
Great service, great coffee, great atmosphere. The only negative was that the wifi can be a little spotty. Not a big deal to reconnect, but still a little annoying if you need the internet for homework.
Really looking forward to coming back and trying new flavors and food.

Big space! Back room! Large windows! Convenient location! Free wifi (can be a tad slow sometimes)! This is a great place for getting work done or catching up with an old friend. My personal all time favorite is the Venetian iced coffee. It is perfectly and lightly sweetened. They have great freshly baked pastries and a great tea selection too. This is one of the larger coffee shops in town making if easier to find seats.

I usually get the Lubbock High Latte but have tried other menu items which are also good. The veggie sandwich is a must if you’re feeling a bit hungry. I can’t stress that enough. I hope you find a place to sit because it gets quite busy.

I wish I could give this place 0 stars. First of all, their latte tastes like crap and their customer service is awful. Not to mention that they actually close at 11 NOT midnight. Also, they make you check in on Facebook in order to use their wifi and if you don’t buy anything they’ll approach you and tell you you can’t do that because then other people will think that’s okay and that’s not how it works. Still have their nasty latte taste in my mouth. Will definitely NOT be coming back.

J&B is pretty okay. They use Evocation coffee for anything espresso, and Evocation is like pretty much the best ever, but their Daybreak coffee (what they’ve got for drip) is just terrible. So it’s really a toss-​up. Or a ploy to get you to spend extra money on espresso drinks.
Their tea selection is excellent. I sometimes get a little sad that they don’t brew it with any kind of method at all, but as the Stones have famously adage’d, You Can’t Always Get What You Want.
They randomly have really good breakfast sandwiches. Overpriced, but delicious.
Love it or hate it, J&B is an awesome place to smoke. One of the few in Lubbock. I love it and could smoke there forever. It’s also very dog-​friendly. All of this on their front porch, of course.
Sometimes their employees are a little grumpy. Take it or leave it, I guess.

Very cute and satisfactory venue in Lubbock. Not the normal Capitalistic Starbucks. I love the originality of this place. The inside is amazing filled with interesting people and a good amount of space to hangout or study and learn in the back.
There are two entrances and one leads to the Barista. The coffee is good and it tastes like coffee made for the individual. I’ve had their winter specials and I look forward to them again this comming fall. The barista help you out when you don’t know what you want and help fill your craving. Cookies there are delicious don’t be shy! Try one! Chocolate chop is classic.
The space at the front can be noisy but good for those that can study and socialize. The back section is for more respectful crowd that needs silence. There are usually art pieces displayed there, bands playing, or the usual Texas Tech organization meeting.
I recommend going during the winter, or for Philosophy Café! Usually some great people involved and interesting topics to stimulate the mind.

I’m lactose intolerant so they had soy milk and decaf coffee (I’m nursing) there lattes are excellent, there muffins are home made, great with your coffee. They have a small lunch menu and energy drinks, kid friendly and out door seating

Good coffee, good atmosphere. The WIFI needs a step up, I was having trouble working on my laptop.

Had a very nice French Press made cup of Ethiopian Yirgacheffe. Price was $ 3, which was reasonable for one of their premium Evolution coffees. Staff was friendly. They have outdoor chairs and tables. They’re just on the sidewalk facing the parking lot, so not a super nice spot but good enough to enjoy a cool morning. I assume you could sit out there with a dog, too. I don’t get to Lubbock much but will seek out J&B again when I’m here.

I really liked this place. They had delicious coffee and many different options to choose from. It had a starbucks vibe to it but in my opinion, they had better coffee. I got a cappuccino and had nothing to complain about. They also serve food but I didn’t eat anything, so I can’t speak to that. They also had kid friendly options like hot chocolate, frozen hot chocolate and steamed milk. I would highly recommend this place! I think they also have a drive thru location somewhere in Lubbock.

This place would be a perfect hangout for a college student or really anyone who wants a fun place to be with friends. I had the chai tea latte and it was delicious! I’ve also heard the breve with honey is amazing.

Their foo foo sweet drinks are actually quite good. However, I typically judge a coffee house purely on the quality of their coffee alone. And I have not been impressed with its taste. Also, their cappuccinos and lattes come in «sizes». I really enjoy the environment though, it’s a great place to hang out or study.

I love coming here! Service is fast, both employees and customers are nice, and the coffee/​food is great!

Great place to get coffee and to study, they have unlimited coffee too. I gave it 4 stars because there a couple of rude employees there.

Just had an Ice Coffee however very good not to bold. I take it just black so was refreshing. Nice to get away from a main stream coffee shop. Good atmosphere with people coming and going.
